You know... This actually sounds like something I'd be interested in. I've always had a deep respect and admiration for those scraggly dudes who could lift up the top of a pinball machine and work their magic, giving me an extra Addams Family game as they finished. I'm in!

7 / 10... Not enough microtransactions and gambling. Repetitive gameplay, unlike something like, say, basketball which is full of novelty and wonder.

I hope that the Sega Genesis Mini immediately freezes up and needs to be powercycled the moment you even just breathe anywhere near that tower.

We picked up a used XB360 at a garage sale, and headed over to the used section of a GameStop just to play this game (well, pretty much just to play this game). I played the Wii version when it first came out, but there's just something about the more photorealistic graphics that makes it seem more cinematic. The story and voice-acting are all really good.

And do we know whether or not the Namco collection is the arcade versions or the Atari 7800 versions? I can't imagine Namco would let a collection of 10 or 11 of their arcade games out the door for less than $40.

I would love to forget Sonic. It will be worse than Super Mario Bros. At least Super Mario Bros. at the time didn't have itself as an example for how not to make a video game movie. Sonic in 2019 has no excuse.

Duck Game is amazing (for at least 2 players) and hilarious. It's the kind of game the Switch was meant to play.

I've had fun with all of the other Labo kits so far, so this is something I will definitely pick up (though perhaps around a Black Friday sale, when it's 1/2 off). I've always wanted to be an elephant.

@KingMike It was even cooler than that — in the arcade version of "Front Line" there was a knob you turned, and that was how you aimed (I can't recall if the knob was also the button you pressed to fire — I haven't played this since 1982).

Games were really into knobs back then. I kind of miss it.

I have it on PC and it's actually a lot of fun. It has that "just one more run" draw. It's definitely not as deep as something like dead cells but there's enough depth and enough carryover from run to run to keep things interesting. I don't recall paying more than a couple of dollars for it on Steam though, if that, so take that into account.

I have the PC version and apart from the arcade games (which would be worth the price of admission for me), there are Atari 2600 games worth playing: Haunted House and Adventure are good (even apart from their historical significance) and if you have friends or kids around you can have hours of fun playing "Combat" (we did). It is a shame there are no Activision or Imagic games (Demon Attack is rad) but what can you do.

To scratch that survival/crafting itch (and if you're sick of "Minecraft") you could pick up "Crashlands", "Don't Starve" or "The Flame in the Flood", each of which are better suited to and therefore run very well on Switch.

After reading this review I put my copy of Toast Time: Smash Up! on my Nintendo Switch in the oven. After 30 minutes at 425 degrees, I can attest that this does not in fact improve gameplay and actually degrades overall performance not only for this game, but for all the games installed on the system.

You can tell it's for hardcore gamers because it has pixel art and waifu in it!

I have the original on PC and it's...not fun. But we get a ton of snow around here so maybe as a gaming experience it's just too close to real life than I'm comfortable with.

Abzu is a great game, and a bargain at half the price. I picked it up two years ago on Steam for $7 and that seemed fair, given its length.

They look kind of cute. But don't people only use the JoyCon when there are literally no other options available?

I had a blast playing Crashlands on my phone. It's a surprisingly deep mission-based exploration and crafting game with an accessible sense of humor. Looking forward to playing it with a proper controller on the switch.
