@aaronsullivan: I've played Red Steel split-screen with three players and it works quite well, despite the fact that it's a launch title. I'm sure if a launch title can handle 4-player split-screen with Wiimotes, then this game will be able to, too...
Awesome, you ended up posting it today after all, James...
Judging from the video interviews from Comic-Con it looks like this could end up being a lot of fun, the only thing that bothers me a bit is that there's no Wiimote+nunchuck support in the builds played so far, which I'd think would be something you'd want to emphasize. Guess they're a bit more focused on catering to the dual-analog gamers...
Hope that this game ends up being awesome and a classic in its own right, but, so far, I remain cautiously skeptic...
Having now played this game (being only one sticker away from completion), I'm glad to see that this review was spot on and my money well spent. Good show, Stuart (though—as I said of the original game—I give this one a 10)...
I am quite saddened that the third game in this charming series doesn't seem to be coming to NA, though. I'd consider importing it if it wasn't going to cost me $60+, not to mention I can't read Japanese and these games are quite text-heavy...
It's just too bad that these figures go for hundreds of dollars on eBay, if the prices were a bit more reasonable I'd jump at that Samus figure. So damn sexy...
"(Hopefully when in 1st person mode, you can move around like in the Prime series.)"
@VirtualConsoleGuy: You can't...
I finally got paid my money, so one of the first things I did today was pre-order (fully paid off) my copy of Other: M at GameStop. Now all that's left is the wait until August 31st...
Let's just hope Nintendo is able to make the 3DS in such a way that pirating is either more difficult or downright impossible (preferably the latter)...
"On the other hand, I do not think that online functionality is something that we should be devoting resources to for every single product. Instead, I think that Nintendo's ability to create an offline experience that feels incredibly unique and compelling is a particular strength that we have."
Great impressions, Corbie. Apparently you'll also be able to play this game with the Wiimote NES-style, but since you didn't make mention of that in your impressions I take it the only available control scheme available for the demo was the Wii and nunchuck, huh? This game looks fantastic, and I can't wait to get my hands on it...
By the way, ehen can we expect your first impressions for Other M (if there are any)?
Thanks for the answer to one of my questions, Corbie, I hope you'll answer my question about Other M when the third day questions are posted (or in a first impressions article)...
