Re: Soapbox: Switch's Rampant Success Is Proof Positive That You Should Never Write Off Nintendo

Deathwalka

I honestly don’t get the comparison to wii u
Nintendo have said themselves the switch is an almagamation of ALL their consoles, not just the wii u.
The wii u wasn’t close to doing what the switch was? Granted I never owned a wii u, but I also never saw anyone lugging round that giant plastic suitcase of a screen on public transport, nor did I see the control pad come apart and give 2 player options with one pad.
Of course I see a bit of resemblance but I thinks it’s over the top when people call it the wii u successor?!
Maybe I’m alone on this but I never wanted a wii u at any point, but the switch was a day 1 purchase for me, so personally.... I see it as it’s own thing that has evolved from all of Nintendo’s past consoles.

Re: Nintendo Switch Is The Fastest Selling Console In US History With 4.8 Million Units Sold

Deathwalka

I can’t wait for this year
Switch is going to blow up, this is defo going to be the better year.
All the features that were missing will arrive, the virtual console, the apps and without a doubt they going to have some big surprises and I think they will sort out their online issues.
Nintendo is a different animal now, behind the scenes and with the switch, so much has been learnt and accepted that I don’t think they are going to mess up in any way shape or form. They now know what works and they are going full throttle, and all this without eve mentioning some of the awesome games in the works.
I’m going to copy and paste this comment in my calendar for December 31st just to see how much of this comes to pass....
I’m betting all of it.

Re: Nintendo Boasts Of Continued Third Party Support For Switch

Deathwalka

Amazing news, personally was a day one believer they had a great product and that it would sell great. But it’s even surpassed my expectations which I thought till now were high.
It’s funny still seeing one or two people in this forum who still seem bitter about the switch’s success, I won’t name names as most know who they are but how can you not support it?
I hear some saying oh but we’re still not getting things like red dead redemption 2 or other new games...just wait, it will all come and more. I know I’m in the same boat as a lot of switch owners who are still playing the great games we have had this year.

Re: Gaming Addiction Is Officially A Disorder, According To The World Health Organisation

Deathwalka

@PlywoodStick wow you just don’t get it do you
Reading the posts so many don’t understand it all
NOONE is attacking your gaming freedom, NOONE is putting legislation on you.
All this article is about is the VERY REAL problem of certain individuals who are addicted to gaming to an unhealthy degree.
Anyone who thinks this is made up or an excuse well that’s your opinion, but it’s also shows how ignorant you can be. Maybe your defensive because your the exact type of gamer that has these symptoms, it wouldn’t be the first time I’ve seen this.
Opinions are fine, but have some real thought into what this is, so stop getting defensive like someone has just broke your dpad lmao
No one is taking your gaming freedom away!
So please everyone stop being such dramatic queens 👸

Re: Gaming Addiction Is Officially A Disorder, According To The World Health Organisation

Deathwalka

@PlywoodStick lmfao how is mine a one sided response?
Why have you just regurgitated what I said, I’m sorry if you took offence that you were using your own one sided experience to cry conspiracy but that is the truth. Your reply says that anything other then your own truth will make you uncomfortable, I should have known this.
You should also know this is a good thing that they recognise this, many of us suffer depression and think it makes us all experts...it does not. Also it’s almost comical how you took my comment and twisted it saying anyone with depression has no emotional intelligence.

Mods: Please be more respectful of your fellow users.

Re: Gaming Addiction Is Officially A Disorder, According To The World Health Organisation

Deathwalka

@pokedmund dude no research is needed if everyone was as honest as you. Your gaming habits are quite minor from what you describe compared to some more severe cases. You at least are self aware of this and have guilt which automatically gives you a power from getting in too deep. Some people lose this guilt by becoming emotionally detached, they don’t feel love, happiness with the same potency as they once did, as their emotions become diluted. The lighting from gaming is very unnatural and absolutely will have some effect on the brain, which overall affects your way of thinking and your drive to to do things.

Re: Gaming Addiction Is Officially A Disorder, According To The World Health Organisation

Deathwalka

@PlywoodStick you are completely missing the point.
You are taking your own one sided experience and trying to debunk this legislation which has been founded on many individual cases not just a one sided bias.
This is a very real thing, and of course ALL addictions stem from a root cause that’s just psychology 101, but that does not detract from the FACT that gaming in excess is harmful. Some have the emotional intelligence to combat it by living healthy lifestyles physically and mentally so it does not affect them as easily as it would someone with depression or someone who has suffered some sort of emotional trauma. This is no conspiracy, this is not the illuminati lol this is a good thing that it’s being recognised as I know quite a few people who’s lives would change for the better if there were not hermits living only in their gaming world. So I for one applaud the action of recognising this as a very real problem as it’s only going to get worse if not bought to people’s attention.

Re: Gaming Addiction Is Officially A Disorder, According To The World Health Organisation

Deathwalka

I said this years ago.
It is a very real thing.
I’ve seen people’s health at risk over their excessive gaming habits.
I’ve seen people stop washing, eating properly, sleeping very little, and having poor hygiene and having emotional detachment from family and friends. Most who have this will never own up to it, or even realise it as a problem, but it’s very real and I find it almost comical how defensive these gaming addicts get.
No one should be surprised, ANYTHING can become addictive and therefore a hinderance to oneself, gaming in excess is definitely a very real problem.

Re: Review: MUJO (Switch eShop)

Deathwalka

@Pablo17 you still spitting that nonsense, do you even read the other comments? Do you know what an idiot you sound like? Having an opinion is fine, but when your opinion has flaws in its logic, and when your opinion only has a negative impact......guess what no one wants to know.

Re: Review: MUJO (Switch eShop)

Deathwalka

@Pablo17 no I read your verbal diarrhoea lol
Don't backtrack, your point is DONT write reviews on these mobile games...yet there are many people who have not played or even heard of this game, and they come to sites like these to see whether it's worth spending there hard earned money.
So yeah your 2-bit lack of understanding on why people shouldn't review these games is laughable.
Look don't cry about it you have your opinion I have mine, it's just that mine is trying to educate you

Re: Review: MUJO (Switch eShop)

Deathwalka

@Pablo17 of course it should be reviewed! Lmao people need to be warned about games like this, by your logic you would be letting people spend hard earned money on crap!

Re: Review: Resident Evil Revelations Collection (Switch)

Deathwalka

@LFCYNWA96 they are both going to do brilliant on switch, if u look at the eshop charts anything in the top 15 is making a lot of money, because smaller devs have said they have smashed it in sales and a lot of those games did not make the top 15, so I think capcom will do great and it's only a matter of time now before we get all the great horror games. Let's face it, as the switch stands now it's a runaway success with momentum that will grow if they keep churning games at the pace now. And the fact is 2018 is going to be the year of the switch and il tell u why...
They have not even released the gaming service they were going to,
They have also not released the apps like Netflix, even though we have Hulu, and they have also not ported so many amazing games from there back catalogue. So when this is added to the switch which is already a massive success and then add to the mix all the amazing games for 2018! I wud bet good money they will close the gap quickly to Xbox and PlayStation.

Re: Review: Resident Evil Revelations Collection (Switch)

Deathwalka

@LFCYNWA96 that's strange? I got charged £19.99 for the second one but only £11.99 for the first one? So altogether say £31.99 in total
It's also sooooo fun to play I'm doing it in order
One thing about the switch the rumble is so spot on, other console controllers have nothing on it. Even little things like the gates coming down feels like it really is! This is why switch has the best immersion hence games are just more fun to play.

Re: Review: Resident Evil Revelations Collection (Switch)

Deathwalka

Purchased both at midnight and damn they really good! Personally think they look better then the Xbox one version!
I actually really enjoyed the res evil revelations but never played the second.
But it's so good to have this on the switch for the cold winter dark nights!
Also Nintendo have smashed it this year on everything, the numbers for the mobile animal crossing game is also crazy! Really happy they are finally heading the direction I always wanted them too, they made my year with the switch.

Re: TIME Names the Nintendo Switch Its Number One Gadget of 2017

Deathwalka

A guy at work was one of those really negative aholes who used to belittle the switch on release....skyrim came out he runs out and gets one now is telling everyone it's his favourite console lol
This was PS4 pro fanboy! It is worthy of the praise, cannot wait to see Nintendo knock it out the park in 2018!

Re: Switch and Nintendo Systems Dominated US Hardware Sales in October

Deathwalka

@gortsi haha what an awesome post! Revealing the 2-bit douche bags of the internet lol it's cringe when I'd see these posts like they had inside info on Nintendos sales lmao slags or whateva his name was I just had to block, I'm all for opinions but when someone is so blinded by their own made up bs I just block it lol there are also early reviewers saying the same thing and man do they look like morons!

Re: Review: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Switch)

Deathwalka

Honestly bethseda deserves an award! My god these devs have spoilt us and even made games we have played seem exciting again! The fact they have put so much into the ports and made it switch style is dedication to the consumer. Im sure we will get updates so no need to worry about anything mentioned like lightning as we need to support these guys to show we are truly grateful. Wow switch owners are really the first generation of gamers experiencing full aaa open world games like this in handheld, it's not been done in this way regardless of the 3ds, nividia shield or iPad, gaming is finally exciting again and I for one can't wait to see the switch knock it out the park in 2018!

Re: Tallowmere

Deathwalka

This really is a great addictive game and worth the price for all the content and hours you will get out of it.
I have NEVER liked these type of games, so I was really surprised how I just kept coming back to this. I have double dipped as I already play it on iPad but controls are the way to go.
I'd advise anyone to have it in their switch library as it won't stay in your backlog once you start playing, as it will be a regular go to game.

Re: Review: Cartoon Network: Battle Crashers (Switch)

Deathwalka

This is what I was talking about the other day, of possible quick cash ins on the switch gravy train.
Il always support devs but releasing shoddy games/ports is inexcusable in 2017!
The amount of tech, and how much things have advanced yet it seems these problems never go away.
Honestly if I was a Dev I'd rather think long term and build a reputation so that people know they are getting a quality experience, just like Nintendo do with their games.

Re: Talking Point: The Case for Super Mario Odyssey as the Greatest Mario Game

Deathwalka

@Gamer401 yes new donk city is awesome and now I got to snow kingdom and the charm just blows me away! I have fun just wondering like a kid in a candy store lol
So far this and botw are the 2 best games but I gotta disagree there are so many great games on switch
I feel there was never any drought as it always had quality games
I'm one of those gamers who can find the context and immersion in any and all genre and manner of games and trust me if your as open minded as I am with games you will have so much fun

Re: Talking Point: The Case for Super Mario Odyssey as the Greatest Mario Game

Deathwalka

Ok,this is how good this game is....
I have already posted before
But playing now in metro city I had to pause to write again how amazing this game is!
I feel like a kid again lol
Personally I love how many moons there are and some are easy because it makes you think you can get all of them and boy oh boy is that not the case, not easily anyway! Some epic gameplay so far I've played 6 hours straight and don't want to put it down!

Re: Talking Point: The Case for Super Mario Odyssey as the Greatest Mario Game

Deathwalka

Ok let me break it down for you dummies yeah lol
Make NO mistake, ANYONE saying any other mario is better is saying it from a purely nostalgic view, one with warm fuzzy memories like I have of super mario 3 and 64, galaxy e.t.c
BUT I can state this as fact, NONE of the mario games has the depth, fun, and addictive nature that odyssey has. I was set when I bought this it won't beat the other mario titles ( or rather like others I just didn't want it to lol ) but this is the best.
All reviewers are also saying this because it's FACT best mario to date
Anyone but hurt over the truth needs to get over it
Everyone has an opinion but the accepted consensus is that this is now the best mario game made to date.
As a mario fan, I wholeheartedly agree.

Re: Review: Wheels of Aurelia (Switch eShop)

Deathwalka

@Dogorilla It's not just this game, there seems to be happening quite a bit, it maybe teething issue on a new system? But I hope it's that rather then rushed games to capitalise on the hype.
I'm all for supporting devs, one example is the don't knock twice game, it's so buggy it breaks the immersion and it's a game I've actually regretted buying. Probably should have listened to the reviews lol
