@Noid Stopping one rom sharing website doesn't really do anything for preservation one way or another. You can find complete romsets for basically every system up on the internet archive, and there are thousands of people keeping them on hard drives. And whether they admit it or not, I'm sure those video game preservation places have the romsets stored as well.
"But it should be noted this story is from the German equivalent of The Sun and it's trying to sensationalise a rumor by claiming the Chinese army will use Crytek to spy on the West or something lol"
Because China isn't known for their massive spying system at home and would certainly not want to spread that abroad!
That seems like a weird question to ask a company that hasn't touched consoles in almost a decade. They make phone games now. Not even particularly good ones.
@NEStalgia Here's the problem with that. People will find a way to listen to it. It was harder to do back then, but that doesn't matter. People always find a way, and corporations try to stop them. Your very example of 'recording the music onto a tape recorder from your tv' was considered illegal by corporations until the courts stopped them.
All nintendo is doing is forcing people to look somewhere else because they won't provide a product that doesn't exist. You can say that's their right, and you aren't wrong, but people are going to fill the demand somehow.
@NEStalgia The difference is that you can go buy the Beatles Anthology somewhere else. You can't buy old NES soundtracks. And nintendo has no intention of selling it.
They just don't want it up there. It's the 'Please remember our great old games but never play them' problem between people playing roms because companies won't release the games again.
Fans: I sure do love listening to this nintendo music! Nintendo: We're taking this all down because we don't make any money from it. Fans: So...can we buy it from you then? Nintendo: No.
I will be the opposite voice and say I enjoy some of the kemco rpgs (You want the ones made by exe create like chronus arc). They are cheap, light, and have enough content to entertain for a couple days.
If you like old turned based RPGs, they aren't bad.
@cfgk24 I'm not panicking. I literally just don't understand why you'd want a switch that doesn't switch. It's basically the same size, so it's not really any more 'portable' than the regular switch. But it does less stuff.
Does anyone else find Dry Bowser a little unsettling? Like, Dry Bones was always sort of weird too. I loved him, but there's some necromancy involved there that you just don't think about too hard.
Dry Bowser, though...
Is Bowser a lich? Does he have a phylactery somewhere that Mario needs to destroy or he'll just keep coming back to life? Or is he just a reanimated puppet in slave to magikoopa? (kemick? I know magikoopa has a name).
It's just more thinking than I'm prepared to do about my mario games.
@Lukeim64 Is this new amazon delivery service. It's awful. As far as I can tell they just hire local people with cars. One lady who delivers to my apartment has her seven year old running the packages to my door from her car.

Re: Best Switch Games In Nintendo's Hyper Max eShop Sale (North America)
If you only buy one game on this list, Iconoclast was a joy to play.
Re: Parkasaurus, An Adorable Take On Jurassic Park, Roars Onto Switch Soon
If anyone is as old as the creatures in this game (like me, apparently) this is very reminiscent of Dinopark Tycoon.

Does this work just as a clock? I kind of just want a mario clock on my desk.

Oh wait.

Re: Get Ready For More Remasters From Activision Blizzard In 2021
Blizzard has said they lost the D2 source code. So we might get a new D2, but we aren't getting the original game.

You and the captain make it happen.

@Crono1973 Chronus Arc, Revenant Saga/Dogma, and Antiqua Lost, I think.

I guess they aren't putting any of the Final Fantasy Kingdom Hearts characters in this either.
Re: Feature: The Game That Starred Mickey Mouse, Ghostbusters Or Garfield, Depending On Your Region
I think Kemco is mostly known for the massive pile of snes-style turn-based rpgs they are constantly putting out.
Some of them are even okay? Just the eXe Creates ones, though...
