Nintendo has shared an updated list of the most-downloaded Switch eShop games of the month across Europe, this time covering November 2020. And yep, you probably know which game has taken top spot.
As you'd probably expect, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity has jumped straight into first place. The game – which has already become the best-selling Warriors game of all time – sold more digital copies than any other title on the European eShop this month, including the always-popular Minecraft which has had to settle for second.
Elsewhere, the list is mostly made up of big-name Nintendo favourites, although there are a couple of indies and third-party releases making their voices heard.
You can check out the full list below. It's based on the number of Nintendo eShop downloads (so no physical sales) in European territories during the whole month:
- Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity
- Minecraft
- Hades
- Super Mario 3D All-Stars
- Animal Crossing: New Horizons
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
- 51 Worldwide Games
- Pikmin 3 Deluxe
- Stardew Valley
- Pokémon Sword
- Super Mario Party
- Jurassic World Evolution: Complete Edition
- Just Dance 2021
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
- Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered
Did you download any of these titles on Switch last month? Any surprises in the top 15? Tell us below.

I've been a Pokemon fan for as long as the series has been a thing and it's always bugged me that the different versions are usually counted as separate games. To me it's like saying the Mustang GT fastback and Mustang GT convertible
different cars when they're just different versions of the same car.
Anyway this is a nice list. Always good to see several of my faves selling well. Pokemon, ACNH, Stardew Valley...
@Heavyarms55 It's more like putting different colours of a fastback as different cars.
I still just haven’t been able to get into Stardew Valley. It’s obviously pretty popular, and it’s gotten a lot of praise, but I always stop playing after a couple in-game weeks. Maybe it’s just not for me. Which is strange since I have over 200 hours in ACNH.
Hades has been quite the success story.
@Gwynbleidd
It's number 2 and has already sold millions.
Who is even left to download minecraft...
@Gwynbleidd
Minecraft is a sales juggernaut that sells tens of millions of copies per year, mostly through digital storefronts. 2019 was its biggest year ever, and 2020 looks to be a close second.
Selling less digital copies than Minecraft is not an indication of underperformance or failure.
I just now noticed this but even with my phone and tablet whenever I get a new device or console Minecraft is the first or second thing I buy
@Gwynbleidd not really though. Minecraft is very evergreen, kinda like GTAV but for kids. Minecraft are one of those IPs that kinda is able to compete with Nintendo's IPs in these days, it's being promoted very often by Nintendo and Microsoft and it received a Smash invite. So there is more to it then it just being a "11 year old game selling well" making it seems Europe doesn't like the Switch as much. You can't really base it on that.
Good to see something other than 1st party and Minecraft here. I want to see 3rd parties succeed more here.
Hooray for Age of Calamity! That game is absolutely crazy.
@Dalrint Those who decide that getting every version of the game is a viable option, like getting Skyrim and GTA V.
I bought Pokemon Shield and Super Mario Party!
Still playing Age of Calamity, though I'm nearing 100% completion now.
Guess I’m odd man out as I could not get into Minecraft at all. Did play the dungeon ver but that got old quick fast.
