Re: Review: Overwatch Legendary Edition - Hardly The Best Way To Play, But Still Pretty Great

Cyrax77

Got the game and I love it..... But only in handheld. I also played the game on the PS4 Pro for a long time so I certainly see and feel the difference when it comes to the Switch version.

It's amazing how it looks on the Switch (handheld). It plays nicely and I really enjoy it. I paid like € 20,00 for the game, so no biggy. I tend to play more handheld so I won't have to battle for the TV all the time.

I like the game a lot, but again. Only in handheld. If you want to play Overwatch on the bigscreen... Play the PS4/PC/One version.

Re: Video: Digital Foundry's Technical Analysis Of Yooka-Laylee And The Impossible Lair

Cyrax77

Got the game and it plays great. It does look good, but it’s not at the same level as DKTF. But I really do love the gameplay, it’s smooth and fun.

I’ve heard negative things about the controls by some, but I love the controls and I have had no issue playing the game.

I dare to say that this is my number 2 platform game on the Switch (behind DKTF) right now. Love it, it is really just fun. It has great gameplay, but the levels can get a bit dull after a while.

Re: Link's Awakening Becomes Europe's Fastest-Selling Switch Game Of 2019

Cyrax77

@TobiasAmaranth:

I think you are underestimating how many people never played the original game. And how many people owning a Switch that were not even born yet during the first (or second for that matter) release.

I haven’t played it (I was born long before the first release, but I didn’t fancy Zelda all that much in the 90’s) and Links Awakening is now my most beloved game this year. I really love this game and play it with a big smile on my face.

Yes, I’d rather see original games than remakes (or worse, remasters). But at least RE2 Remake/Spyro/Links Awaking prove that making a true efford on a remake, pays off eventually.

My favorite Switch game is and will probably always be Super Mario Odyssey. I do have high hopes for Luigi’s Mansion 3 and Animal Crossing. As long as they keep the original games going, a couple of great remakes won’t be a problem for me.

@koekiemonster:

I'm almost done 100% and it took me like 19 hours. Long enough for me.

LM3
LM3
LM3
and... you know... LM3

Boy, I just can’t wait for that one. Loved it on the Cube. Loved it in the 3DS.... And this one just looks asome.

I want more games from the list but I just gotta stop buying all those NS games. I have a huge backlog and to be honest? I don’t always finish my games. Only the ones that I really enjoy. Like Links Awakening...

Re: Poll: Nintendo Switch Lite Is Out Today, Are You Getting One?

Cyrax77

The lite is nice handheld, great even. But for me, as a Switch owner, there is absoluty no reason to buy the Lite. In the Netherlands there is a gameshop were you can exchange your regular Switch for a Lite without any costs. Ofcourse your Switch has to be in a perfect condition, but I just can’t imagine that you would trade your Switch in for a Lite.

Maybe the warranty could be a reason, but beyond that… There is no added value for me. But I do like the D-pad 

Re: Review: The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening - A Magical Remastering Of A Series Highlight

Cyrax77

Can't wait for this one. Never played the original, so I'm a lucky so and so. Started playing Zelda with the release of Windwaker, but after that I got hooked and played the GC versions, 3DS and BotW. I did like BotW, but my problem with games as big as BotW is that I’ll loose my interest after 20 hours. By that time a new game is already out and I start playing it. After a while I return to BotW, but I just can’t find my way anymore.

I love Zelda now, but in my NES/SNES time I didn’t like the games. I play them now, and love them. Link’s Awakening is exactly my cup of tea. I just don’t like games 40+ hour, because I got a busy social life. So it happens that I just don’t have the time to play games for a longer period of time. So, a game that has about 12 till 15 hours playing hours is just fine by me. It will be worth every cent.

I got the Limited editon and the Amiibo and I just can’t wait for it….

Re: Switch's NES And SNES Games Will No Longer Be Added Monthly

Cyrax77

@607jf

Yes, big bad Nintendo brainwashed people. Amazing how they done that, don’t you agree? All I see is a dude that believes that everyone is stupid by saying that paying the full € 1,50 every month is nothing for being able to play a lot of (S)NES games on one device, get a great game like Tetris 99. I don’t care about ROMs and I have no PC, certainly not one I can put in my pocket and play my (S)NES games anywere.

Re: Switch's NES And SNES Games Will No Longer Be Added Monthly

Cyrax77

@Realnoize :

Usually you don’t get a subscription and get something new along the way and then start moaning about the new stuff you got for free.

I bought my membership may 2019. I had no knowledge of SNES games being part of that membership. Along the way they did without a higher price tag. So why would I complain?

Re: Switch's NES And SNES Games Will No Longer Be Added Monthly

Cyrax77

It’s amazing how much people complain. The subscription is something like € 1,50 a month. For that money some of you believe to be entitled to get 2 free AA titles monthly and be guarenteed to get 6 new (S)NES games each month. That’s just really… You know… Sad and unrealistic.

They scream that you can play all those games for free on a PC (that’s not legal) Then they want you to believe that PSN gives away 2 AAA games every month (most of the time those games are far from being AAA titles and the price difference between a PSN and NSO subscription is pretty clear) to justify their moaning.

Glad I’m satisfied with Nintendo right now. The Switch is a great machine and it has a great subscription option. I can play many NES and SNES titles on one device and take that device with my anywere. That’s amazing and fun. And all of that for like € 1,50 monthly. I get to play Tetris 99 for free and love it.

Re: Switch's NES And SNES Games Will No Longer Be Added Monthly

Cyrax77

I'm cool with it. Finally we got SNES games, really nice work Nintendo. Now everybody has something new to moan about.. Great....

I'm paying € 20,00 a year.. A year. I love Tetris 99 and play it for the same € 20,00 a year. I get a nice library of NES titles and just now they gave me 20 SNES games. All for the same € 20,00 a year. If you don't have a subscription right now, buy one with a physical copy of Tetris for € 29,99.

Yes, your able to play those games for free, without a subscription. Good for you.... I don't own a PC and have no interest in building too be able to play (S)NES games. So yeah.... I love to pay that € 20,00 a year and be able to play Tetris 99 and all those nice little (S)NES games on one device. That's like € 1,67 a month.... A month... That's like.... you know... € 1,67 a month.. Driving to the supermarket costs me the same...

I'm very happy with the SNES titles. I just really don't understand the moaning.

@m8e3point1415; PSN costs a bit more that NSO, don't you agree with me? You just can't compare it.

Re: Video: Nintendo Welcomes Switch Lite To The Family With Flashy Console Trailer

Cyrax77

Nah, I will let it be. I do think it will be a huge succes for Nintendo, but I see absolutely no reason for me to buy it. I have the regular Switch, and it can really Switch. That’s why I bought the console (okay, one of the reasons). If the Lite would have a price tag like € 175,00, I might consider it.

Take Astrail Chain… It looks good. Handheld mode is okay too, but seriously. I can’t imagine playing that game on an even smaller screen than the one the regular Switch has will be a great experience.

Re: Review: Astral Chain - Platinum's Best Game Ever? You'd Better Believe It

Cyrax77

My god…. Someone loves all the attention he gets. He owns this thread and we all love it. At least someone is telling us the truth, because I just didn’t see I got pranked by that 88% at meta. They all lie and the truth is that all the reviewers hate the game. I would like to take a moment to thank the only one that dares to tell the truth. Thank you!!

Ontopic:

Watched some of the gameplay, and I might just pick it up. I did not like Bayonetta (1 & 2) because it was a bit overwhelming and chaotic. I didn’t dig the setting of those games either. Because of that I never really had Astral on my radar. I assumed it was going to be a chaotic and overwhelming game in a setting I would not like. But I do like the setting in Astral Chain and many reviews claim that the controls are better for newbies to the genre.

I’m going to hold on for a minute to see what you guys think about it after playing it before I’m going to buy it. But I’ve got high hopes that I’m going to like this game. Despite the conspiracy.

Re: Review: Astral Chain - Platinum's Best Game Ever? You'd Better Believe It

Cyrax77

I did not enjoy Bayonetta on the Switch. It's just not my kind of game I suppose. I just didn't like the setting, it's overwhelming and I never really knew what I was doing. I'm not sure if Astral Chain is something I would dig, but somehow the setting of it is more appealing to me.

I do believe that the game is an asset to the Switch library. Most of the reviews claim that the fightsystem is easier than the one in Bayonetta, so that could be a reason for me to buy Astral despite the fact that I did not like Bayonetta. But I will wait for the reviews from the gamers.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (June 15th)

Cyrax77

Yoshi’s Crafted World. Love that game. Want everthing????? No more easy gaming.

Played some Tetris99 and went to the Eshop for the tenth time looking at Contra again. But not buying it.... Played Little Nightmares instead. And went back to the Eshop. Looking at Contra... Is it me or is the app looking great? It seems like a perfect fit on my Switch.

Re: Hands On: Luigi’s Mansion 3 Is Shaping Up To Be The Best In The Series

Cyrax77

I just can’t wait for this one. I really love Luigi’s Mansion, played both of them and loved them. This just looks amazing, the atmosphere appears to be outstanding if you ask me.

I loved Dark Moon, I really did. It was my favorite 3DS game to be honest. I never felt the ghost were boring (the baby was fun) and I loved the different stages. But overall I did like de GC version the most, because it was something new. LM 3 looks like everthing I hoped for….. Insta buy, most anticipated game in 2019.

Re: Some History About Saber Interactive, The Developer Porting The Witcher 3 To Nintendo Switch

Cyrax77

I just don't understand why anyone wants to play a game like this on the Switch. Not only is it like 200 years old, you can also be sure that it will be the most downgraded version of this game.

Yes, it sounds awesome that you can play the Witcher 3 on the go... But is it worth all the sacrifice?

But hey, there are people waiting for games like this, so who am I to judge. But for me... I will never buy games like the Witcher 3, or Skyrim for the Nintendo Switch (this model). I would love to play these again on the go, but the downgrade is just too big for me.

Re: Video: Nintendo's E3 Direct Went From Pedestrian To Perfection

Cyrax77

I'm a little bit angry about Luigi's Mansion 3.. No releasedate??? Really? Why?

No SNES games?
No new IP?
Delay of AC?
No Timesplitters?
No new Pro Controller?

Still.... Link's Awakenings release 20th of september and being able to buy the limited edition makes it all just perfect.... And Contra being here straight after the Direct...
