Great in their own way, of course. Out of all of them I found Adventure 2 to be superior.
@ Its-Mii-Will I think you need to apply your observations to yourself as well. I'm sure your just as guilty as everyone else for having nostalgia for a game.
That can all revolve around opinion though. Comparing the gameplay of Battle 2 to Black Knight well, you'll see a huge difference. I found Tails/Eggman's levels to be pretty superb, while Rouge/Knuckle's were top notch brain twisters. Sonic and Shadow's levels were where it's at! Then you have the Chao Garden, boss battles, and other assortments of mini games plus multiplayer. Oh and did I mention Chao Gardens?
I see a blurry image of where you stand. Content is not the problem here. Nor is the gameplay. I've played every 3D Sonic game besides Colors, and I have to say this plays, feels, and all around is the better Sonic game. .
@Kid_A Thank you for clarifying that. Some people, like me, read the conclusion and if I'm really interested in the game I'll read the full review. (While looking at the score.) Otherwise I don't have the time to read the full review for reasons I'm not sharing over the internet. My point is, is that most of the time NL stands far from the crowd. And I'm usually in that said crowd. I find you guys useful for news and for the forums but not reviews.
Regardless of which character you're playing, the camera often makes things difficult.
Wait what? I don't think you've played that many games to say that about this game. I've had the game since 2004 and not once was I frustrated by the camera. Sure, it's not great but nothing to really complain about. Now Super Mario Sunshine on the other hand, well, yeah...
And about Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes... well your wrong. NL took it down but when the review was up, it was received a very disappointing 6/10. Why do I remember? It's a remake of one of my favorite games of all time and it was truly heart breaking to see it next to a 6.
Good going NL, you just lost more respect from me. I mean your reviews are arguably mediocre most of the time and giving games 10s left and right doesn't help your case whatsoever. But giving games like Sonic Adventure 2 Battle and Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes a 6/10 is ridiculous. I'm not sure if 7/10 is average for you guys but even if it wasn't how are these two games above or below average while Moto Heroz, Kirby Epic Yarn, and New Super Mario Bros. Wii receive perfect 10/10s?
I'm not reviewing your review Mark nor am I singling you out. But I can't stand NL's reviews at all. You guys need to step it up a notch.
Legend of Zelda Minish Cap Wario Land 4 Metroid Zero Mission Kirby and The amazing Mirror Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3By far my favorite title on the platform.
I DONT know. It's a tie between Super Metroid, Super Mario World, and Donkey Kong Country.
Super Metroid- The most cinematic, genius adventure known to man. You could break this game down inot every gameing aspect and even to this day in 2011 super metroid stands tall maybe even above the AAA titles we know today.
Super Mario World- If not the best, definitely one of the best in the entire franchise. Just like Super Metroid, World is an epic from start to finish. A fair difficulty, great music, pure fun just like the Metroid interation. There's nothing wrong with this game.
Donkey Kong Country- You'd never think back in 1994 that a Donkey Kong game could stand above games like sonic and Mario. But that skeptism became a reality. Rare had lifted off, and made DK one my favorite video game characters of all time. Oh and Diddy is cool too.
Sooo... Super Metroid!
NES- Mega Man 2 SNES- Super Metroid N64- Super Mario 64 GCN- Animal Crossing Wii- Super Mario Galaxy 2
How about we get something better to talk about? These talking points on this site are terrible. Uninteresting, dull responses to irritable, irrelevant topics.
Plus didn't Nintendo say that they weren't going to turn into a third party if they were to close down? If my eyes don't deceive me then this "Talking Point" shouldn't even exist...
@Rift Couldnt agree more. Beyond that it lacked innovation/creativity, switching to first person mode was a pain in the @$$, music was.... even present? 100%-ing Other M was a breeze due to the fact they literally show you where every expansion/tank is and um... yeah the boss fights were awful.
I'm tired of people trying to silence me and others just because they don't agree with our opinions.
If that applies to you then it does to everyone else.
"A lot of people on forums/websites act fanboyish/trollish." Oh, the irony!
Thanks for proving my point. xD But if there's something everyone's missing its the fact that Nintendo could've dropped the price tag and not given us anything what-so-ever.
lol. Don't download them then. And if there is a game that you so happen to not own or have an interest in playing, play it. No one has to download anything. That's what I've been trying to say from the beginning.
@uel They are free. You dont have to download them. If you already own the games or "dislike" them and have a 3DS at this very moment, then its quite obvious your not losing anything. But like me I missed out on a few of these games, plus the GBA games, so this is great news which your not getting.
Other than that they only announced 5 games of the 10 so you might have something to look forward to. Plus the additional GBA games.
Never said you couldn't I'm just saying all those games are free. Why complain when they're free? So what you already have them? I don't. And neither do a lot of people.
Infamous and Wipeout HD sit there and rot. Not everybody owns these games and its a nice treat from the company especially for people like me, who unfortunately missed out on the GBA. Plus they're free. Why would anyone complain about this?
Yes I did because I wanted variety from that long wait. But Sony failed to please me.
What I want are far better games that what they're giving us so far. Donkey Kong jr., really?
Infamous Wipeout HD Dead Nation Little Big Planet and Super Stardust HD were the choices from Sony for the PSN outage. Five crappy games worth up to nothing but for what? Missing out on a month and a half of "fun" gaming because they can't keep their network safe from pirates? Oh and a free month of PSN+. Can't forget that! Nintendo's giving us anywhere up to $80 worth of free NES and GBA games for a price drop? That's what I'm talking about. I'm not only getting my money back but I'm getting 20 games of my choice to occupy me for months to come.
None. I have all the ones I want on the Wii already, no need to buy them again. Try new ones out. They're free did you know that? Plus your getting 10 additional GBA for free.
Why do people have to complain even when they get 20 games for free? Ridiculous.
