@rr_sqrl Unfortunately, I think you're spot on. I hate the way business and market trading works like that. How things are often valued is too far removed from creating a good product or service in my opinion.
I would really like to play this along with my younger son but if its too dark it will not possible for him. So some is good, but too much will be a sore turn off. Here's hoping.
Actually, I'm really excited for the Intellivision Amico (not so much for Earthworm Jim though). I think the kind of games on the original intellivision with a bit more polish would be excellent for my younger kids to play ...and I'd want to play them too
This is great! Can't wait to play it again. I loved this game and never found an issue with the controls. The 5 second rewind is nice but I'd actually really like it if it had some more cheats though (you don't have to use them but it would just make it a little more enjoyable as I don't play as much for super challenges anymore
Mark of the Ninja has been my favorite ninja game overall. So I keep hoping someone will build upon that to make an even better ninja game but I don't think this will be it. A bit too much action and no stealth for me. Hope others enjoy it though
This looks like a great game for my kids. The Switch really is a great family console and my son is saving up his coins (and stickers — so cute to get it one day. Looking forward to playing co-op with him.
Thanks so much for doing this video. I was really uncertain even though MY KIDS LOVE THE VARIETY KIT but your video gave me just the information I needed to decide this would be great for them too. Thanks again!
I've had issues with 3 joycons so far but have never had issues with any other gamepad for any other system. I thought it was my friends who were screwing things up here but I'm thankful for the video and will try it out.
@BanjoPickles I hear ya! I still love that game and on the original xBox I have an collection that I bought just for Elevator Action! (I'd love to see a sequel / remake of this that keeps to the spirit of the original)
Man I'm stoked! But I'd be "super" stoked if I could use the Switch as a tablet and look at the TV at the same time. I don't like that I would most likely have to play all of the game in a handheld mode. It would be a lot more fun with my kids if one was at the controls and the others were looking at what they were doing on the TV. Similarly, I really hope you can make multiple player levels too.
If there was a way to adjust the settings to make it more young kid friendly, I might be interested. If anyone knows if there is, please let me know. Thank you in advance.
I loved ToeJam & Earl but I really don't like this new art style at all. So unfortunately its a pass for me. Here's hoping the Intellivision Amico ToeJam & Earl game will have a better art style.
I love the idea of this competition but having only 1 main prize will probably prevent a number of people from entering — if a person feels that their chances of being the "one" best are too slim, they won't bother spending their time. Especially given that people might assume that there may be a few very dedicated and talented people who will put in the time to make a full cool scenario. There's a nice community here at NL so there may be some that participate as just a way to extend their participation in our NL community but I think a different competition structure could have been more compelling. I've run some major national competitions that have earned significant recognition so if you're really interested in talking about things like this more, please feel free to reach out as I just like NL and the concepts of Wargroove and hope the best for both. Making maps and scenarios though sounds like a lot of fun to me personally though so I hope a lot of people just have fun being a part of the competition
@Grant007 Very helpful response. Looks like from your other responses to people, you're a real winner. Find something better to do with your time or at least just go play your games by yourself.
Looks really cool. I really like the exploration and story/choice elements. Can anyone comment on how the combat plays out? It looks like its a card game of some sort but I find the quality of these experiences can vary greatly. Thanks in advance.
Actually I'm really excited for this. I have limited time for gaming and have to be picky on what I spend my time on. But this looks like a winner to me!
@ThatNyteDaez , @klingki Actually it kind of reminds of the way Trine plays. I think there's potential for some fun and creative ways to solve puzzles / overcome obstacles / defeat enemies. I think I'll watch this one. Here's hoping
I always liked and hated the game. Great ideas and creativity but very unforgiving and hard to be sure of what you were supposed to exactly do in each room/area. I want to play it but I won't unless they offered some kind of improvement (or even assist) that made it more enjoyable and less making me want to practice my swearing.
This looks interesting. Kinda hope the whole world isn't in this apocalyptic setting though. But the stealth elements are interesting and would like to see how far they can take that to make it standout.
I have two very young boys who are getting into video games and love ocean stuff. Could anyone suggest what might be the minimum age range? They are not quite ready for "an emotional journey" and my older son had nightmares when he saw Bowser step on Mario's hat. Thanks for your help.
