Re: Video: Nintendo Minute Goes Retro With a Look at the Mini NES

@SuperDjayIsHere that is rather tragic there are countless gems. It is of course debatable but you are certainly missing out on most of the greatest games ever made (even if you utilize the virtual console).

@Utens-mobile if you don't know this already than the above comment applies to you as well.

Re: Video: Someone Has Solved Super Mario 64's Impossible Coin Mystery

CCHawk

Takes me back to that magic era of gaming. Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time hit me like a happy ton of bricks. I too had a VHS video camera nearly the size of a microwave that I recorded my NES/SNES game unboxing/plays/reviews on as well as home movies and me just eating and saying strange things. Fun!

Re: Review: New Adventure Island (Wii U / TG-16)

CCHawk

I remember renting the Nes games quite a bit as a kid, playing this one nowadays I realize it is one of the most polished of Higgin's outings. I am glad to have it on my Wii collection so I should be able to get the discount bringing in it to U.

Lots of cool news today this is something I may have overlooked without NLife giving it some spotlight! This guy seems very worth supporting, cool he mentioned that about Mr. Iwata it's neat thinking of him visiting studios and giving pep talks. It's cool that he is making family games too these seem like CLEAN fun anyone can play without frustration just pure calm and bunny lalas.

Re: Pokémon GO Now Competing With Twitter In Terms Of Daily Active Users

I had a lot of trouble playing on the first day, but it has been great ever since! I went to my local university and there was seriously over a 100 people phones out on the lawn playing this game, I could hear the constant ringing of poke balls in the air. It was pretty astonishing to see how popular it really is in my own home town, I love you nintendo you deserve to knock this one out of the park.. and like others said I am sooo excited to see how the game itself evolves

Great great game had it day one I am on the last section of really tough levels, it is easy to obsess over getting all the gold stars hehe.

This is very sad news I feel for the dev

What's next for four horses, are you going to continue making games?

Re: Video: Digital Foundry Puts Mighty No. 9's Wii U Framerate and Performance to the Test

CCHawk

As a child Mega Man was my hero and my favorite game series, I even made home movies based on the games hah.

@faint I am right with you if Xenoblade and if Fast Racing Neo isn't programming evidence enough.. I mean I was excited for this game but it looks like a game I would expect a game cube could run!! But the Wii U runs at 12fps what happened here? Optimization for unreal games has also been done better in the past as mentioned so there is not much excuse and the Wii U is not to blame.

Re: Tumblestone is Tumbling Onto Wii U on 12th July

CCHawk

Like the others I was looking forward to this and anything less than $15 probably would have been a day one buy.. but I can't dish out $25 for it whoah just look at it that is an insult.. those features don't justify it either. Lame guess I will wait for a sale.

Re: Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Switched Development Direction After Six Months

CCHawk

Didn't think I wanted this but something tells me I might be missing out on another Wii U gem.. the temptation is growing I know I will eventually be diving head first into this and even though the poppiness would normally turn me off it just seems so well done and with flair. Hearing all this good about the battle system is convincing me too honestly.

Re: Hardware Classics: Game Boy Pocket

CCHawk

I remember when I received my very first piece of Nintendo hardware, the original big brick game boy, on christmas when I was 5 maybe 6. I had played my older brothers NES before he eventually passed it on to me, but the game boy was first and truly my own. I received tetris & Mario land 1&2 with it, eventually I received the mega mans and donkey kong lands whoah boy those were the days. Other times I remember being pushed by my mom in store shopping carts and playing, the portability was a dream come true cause I was otherwise so bored on her errand trips haha. My nephew and I stayed up all night and beat Mega Man IV by the time the sun rose one time. Good times.

I have one of the giant magnifying lens/light adapters you attached to the front as well haha so cumbersome but so awesome!!

Re: Feature: A Night at the Arcade

CCHawk

Ab the arcade, the mall where I live had a huge arcade when I was a youngster in the 80's and early 90's. My favorites were the Simpsons arcade, teenage mutant ninja turtles, mario pinball was at chuck e cheese that was pretty awesome, oh and I remember when street fighter 2 landed on the scene everywhere! There was a burger king near my house that had a cabinet good times good times. It is a differently exciting experience for sure I feel lucky to have experienced that gaming era firsthand.

Re: Exclusive: FAST Racing NEO Update, Called 'Vertigo', Goes Live on 18th May

CCHawk

Lots are turned off by the difficulty it looks like, which does take quite a bit of adjusting too. At first the slowest speed was ridiculous for me too I couldn't believe there was two more difficulties above it... but once you lock in to the way your favorite vehicle drives and get used to the tracks a bit the game really opens up and gets great!

Re: Citizens Of Earth Pulled From 3DS eShop Following Exploit Discovery

CCHawk

3DS version here was looking for portability and now I got exclusivity along with it. (For now anyways.)

I didn't like the demo much but the bundle forced the game on me, but if it is even half as good as Earthbound...

The graphics on the demo were totally fine BTW for anyone else wondering after that guys comment.

Re: Guide: Getting Started With Star Fox Guard

CCHawk

Hah loving how Gripia is a planet that sports glasses and mustache. It's the frog on the moon!

I must have Zero! the last star fox that I had interest in was way back in 4th grade and was one of the most fun games of the 64 era for my friends and I.. too bad there isn't any sort of basic local multiplayer in this one.. i like the look of guard and it is a nice addition but multiplayer with classic controls for all controller types would have been a better development I think. Still though, looks great and payday can't come soon enough.
