Im glad they waited until the 3ds because of all the tech advantages it has over its predecessors, it has a better OS, the circle pad, better processing power, all in all I think it was smart to wait IMO.

I usually own 2 consoles my main console has always been Nintendo and for the sake of interesting third party games my second console of choice has differed, with that being said after seeing how unimpressive the ps4 and xbox one reveals and game line up where with only a hand full of interesting titles I gotta say Im happy I bought a Wii U and if third party publishers would support Nintendo like a lot of them said they would, then I wouldn't even consider buying another console down the road because I'd have the best exclusives and great third party games all in one console.

@siddyp00h, and this is only this year I still haven't mentioned next years bayonetta 2, mario kart 8, Super Smash Bros and those unanounced titles... I'm going to go ask for a few extra hours at work because some thing tells me I'm gonnaneed it

All I can say is Nintendo please be gentle I don't think my wallet can take whats coming in the following months starting with pikmin 3, the wonderful 101, watch dogs, splinter cell black list , sonic lost world, COD Ghosts (if it gets officially anounced) and Those are just a few that are releasing this year, and don't even start with the 3DS games, Shin Megami Tensai, Zelda a link between worlds, Pokemon X & Y... Sorry bank account

I just wish Sakurai-san wasn't limiting the character roster of the Wii U version just because of the limited capabilities of the 3ds, don't get me wrong I love my 3ds but this game is one of the games I've been waiting for a while and I just want the Wii U version to be as epic as possible with all of it's HD glory.

I will probably buy this game even though I played the original and enjoyed it, but I was curios to know what people where saying about twilight princess? IMO it is the best entry in the series, it had a beautiful artstyle, the music was great, the storyline and gameplay top notch.

One legitimate reason why it should end is because, like myself I know there are others who are gamers in the military and if you have to deploy or change home staitions region locking could be an issue if trying to buy games localy at a different region.

That Gold 3DS LL is amazing, hope it makes its way to NA and Europe.

Dont't ruin a good thing, so far the formula has been successful, and Zelda hasn't been the helpless damsel to an extremity like Peach in the Mario series, Zelda has actually helped Link defeat Ganondorf.

I've played every mario & luigi game so far and they are great rpgs, for anyone who hasn't tried them yet definitely look into it

This is one of the up coming games that will be a day one buy for me

I never got to play mega man legends 2 but I still remember spending a lot of hours playing the first one, I thought it was awsome

We are going to get some great 3rd party games in the following months, the problem is gamers need to support them and not just buy first party games! a quick reference AC 4, watch dogs, ray man legends and don't forget about the exclusives like Bayonetta 2, the wonderful 101 and X, yes I know X will not be here for a while but still we are getting third party support so don't let it go to waste

If it was up to me I wouldn't cut any character from the roster but we all know thats not gonna happen, so I'm putting my faith in Sakurai-san, he really knows what he's doing, so far SSB has not dissapointed IMO

I never really cared much for ray man, I'm looking forward to watch dogs, saw the trailer and it looks awsome IMO

The only legend of zelda game I have not finished, I have tried to play it but am not a fan of that entry, but besides that I have played every game in the series and love the whole franchise

Pikmin 1&2 where great but it sounds like Miyamoto-san is going to make this games "easy" just so it could be replayable to some, I hope not because I actually enjoyed having to explore, find items and do it quickly, every choice counts when you play against the clock

@Melkaticox , remember that the roster will be the same for both versions and they would have to consider who and what gets used as DLC seeing that the 3DS version will be a lot more limited than the Wii U version and I doubt that they would support one version with DLC and not the other, either way both versions look great

Never played the first one, but seeing all the crazy fight scenes this is definatley a day one buy for me as well as X and Smash!

After the first 6 months or so please announce DLC not before, DLC is supposed to be made to make gamers want to come back to the game with the inclusion of hopefully new characters, stages or weapons. As for the campaign mode I thought subspace emissary was pretty cool the CG clips where Awesome, glad those are coming back.

I realy hope Nintendo moves to an account base purchase system because just like myself I know that there are gamers that are a little bit hesitant as to go crazy downloading games on the 3DS just because of the fact that if your 3DS breaks or is stolen your poopiedoodledingdongles out of luck because your gonna have to pay for all those games you downloaded a 2nd time if you want them again considering you buy a new 3DS

Great article, all I've been reading in different gaming news sites lately is people whining and complaining, and YES I was also disapointed also I did not see Star Fox, Metroid, F-zero or The Legend of Zelda U but every Nintendo fan got to see great trailers like Bayoneta 2, X and SSB. Im almost positive every SSB fan went crazy when they saw Megaman at the reveal trailer.

Miyamoto-san you have my full respect, thank you for not being a sell out and not crumbling to peer pressure just because other people want to enjoy a Nintendo title on other consoles including mobile phones or tablets (wich are definitley not gaming devices)

For all those gamers that still haven't played this entry in the Legend of Zelda franchise I seriously suggest you try wind waker out, it really is a great title, I'm not a big fan of the cartoon version of link but there is no denying that this is a Masterpiece.

Counting down the seconds until I can own this beautiful masterpiece, seen the trailers like 10 times!

@Damo this is something that a lot of people are asking for, and seeing that Nintendo is finally serious about digital content, it only makes sense that they introduce a unified account system making gamers feel more comfortable about downloading their products and not having to feel worried about losing all that content if you misplace your 3DS or have it stolen

YEEEESSSS! Please let this not be a rumor and be actual facts! That is one of the reasons I still have a little doubt when it comes to going crazy downloading games on my 3ds or wii u, especially my 3ds because if I accidentally lost it or It gets stolen then all the content I downloaded would be lost and would not be able to re-download unless you re-purchase

Nintendo be a sell out? Hell no, they have always walked their own path and thats what makes Nintendo so great, if you think about it other companies have to adopt Nintendo Ideas just to try and compete, motion controls, second screen integration and these are just some of the recent ideas they have tried to copy paste

There are waaay to many sensitive people here complaining that it was to violent or to dark, when in reality all zelda games storys are dark and grim, thats the whole point have the hero (Link) shed some light on dark times, and as for the violence I'm sure Link really doesn't use his sword and other equipment to hurt his enemies he's just playing... sarcasm. So all those whining about how violent the video was im sure they have never even seen Pirates of the caribean (disney movie with the same type of fight sequences)

I used to love playing wario land, why couldn't Nintendo make more wario games like that one not wario ware or some other mini game compilation spin off. But all in all the virtual boy really was and is a unique gaming experience.

The last Need for speed game I played and purchased was need for speed underground 2, that should say how upset I am ( sarcasm), never really liked where the series was headed after that game, if they go back to underground they MIGHT have something

@Razalom Thats going to be anounced right after E3, suddenly the wii u Isn't going to be "underpowered" after they see what it can really do and after that xbox one reveal im feeling good about Nintendo

It's definitley a mistake but here's to wishing that an actual special edition Mother collection hits the US and EU in the future.

Right now im playing Pikmin 2 (wii) on my wii u just to get hyped for when pikmin 3 hits the market, so if backwards compatibility is wrong Nintendo please don't be right.

I'm sure the wii u will get COD ghosts sooner or later, what I find anoying is having activision port a game that will not have there full support, meaning no DLC, no big hype or any of that good stuff, so are they intentionaly trying to get people to buy half assed games at full price or are they trying to get people to buy a whole different console just to play there games with full support?

This current gen i owned wii and xbox 360, but for next gen gaming I already own a wii u I just have to decide which would be a better second console, ps4 or nextbox... Still undecided, and even though I do support all gaming consoles in my opinion Nintendo still brings the most high quality software hands down and a great gaming experience for friends and family that get together.

I hope Nintendo puts the wiii into retirement by the end of this year so they could focus on getting more wii u's out the door and into the living rooms of gamers, When the wii is outselling the wii u thats an indication thats telling you drop the price, put the wii to rest and bring us some of the best games gamers of this generation and past will enjoy expiriencing
