So I never really played a Pokemon game. Can anyone explain how this game differs from the "new generation" or the "Legends" games?

A Link to the Past was my first Zelda. But I never owned a SNES, so Ocarina of Time was the first I played all the way through by myself.
Massive impact. I doubt I would have been playing video games today if not for Ocarina.

I would much rather have NSO than VC. But then I would also like the games to actually be released on NSO and not just on the e-shop.

@koekiemonster If you have the Labo VR you do not need this.
If you do not, the cardboard version will be an easy an cheap way of playing both the VR games and the old, quite elusive library of Nintendo games.

This is the only thing Nintendo I have never played, so I will buy the cardboard version just to try how weird it is.

So if that is the argument, I guess we will get Twilight Princess for $25 on the e-shop tomorrow instead of a NSO release. Just for fun.

I am playing Dragon Quest VII reimagined and I am thinking it is awesome!

So the demo of this was my first time playing DQ for more than 10 minuttes, and I found it to be an absolute delight.
I since bought DQ XIs as it seemingly got a lot of praise, and I find it to be absolutely dull.
I am wondering how these two games are in the same series... But yeah. From my 10 hours of DQ VII reimagined so far, I would give it an solid 8.7/10.

Been playing DQ XIs since I got it on sale, and so far it is mostly acting as a rather painfull reminder of why I do not normally play turn-based JRPGs.

Luckily, DQ VII reimagined is much more up my alley.

I like the title.

It is sort of a none-statement is it not. I mean every game takes inspiration from a whole bunch of other games...

Yeah I am going to buy the cardboard version just to try it out. Will wait until the end of 2026 though to have more games available.
Maybe there will even be a third party accessory.

Not big on the HD-2D art style, but I thoroughly enjoyed the gameplay and lack of turn-based, so will be picking this up on release!

My physical copy of DQ VII reimagined is waiting back home when I return from vacation.
I bought DQ XI s on sale yesterday and am trying to get started on that. Not feeling quite the same wonder as the DQ VII demo so far...

For me, Bananza is the clearest 10/10 game I have played in years.
It perfects most things where I did not find that Odyssey quite hit the mark.

This is basicly the only console thing Nintendo I have never owned, so obviously I am going to buy it. Just to try how weird it is.

Why would I buy new Joy Cons for my Switch 2 just because they are a different colour? The ones I have are like 6 months old...

People are scared of things they do not know and understand.
AI is a tool with many possibilities. Some better than others. Like most other things in life.

It is a bit of a shame that we talk mostly about the downsides, but then again that is how discussions on everything goes these days so it is hardly a surprise.

My sole issue with E33 is the turn-based combat, which imo felt old, slow and repetitive around 15 years ago.

I bought Shadows but are yet to open it. Sounds like it will get fixed before I am done with Prime 4.

I find Prime 4 to be on par with the previous entries. So for me it is a awesome 8,5/10 game.

If this kind of effort does not earn him a Switch 2, I am not sure what will.

As I side note, I grew out of the "I can wait" position when the first Switch arrived. First of all I rarely could wait. And when I did manage to "logically" convincing myself to wait, the benefit often turned out to be a <£70 discount for holding out for 3 years. Not worth it.

With a new major 3D platformer in Bananza, new Metroid Prime, new Pokemon, new Mario Kart and quite a few big third party ports all within the first half year, I struggle to see how I should rate the software and purchase below 10/10.

I did this crazy thing and looked at metacritic where the game has scores between 60-100.

I think that is mixed reviews. I am fairly sure it will be a 9/10 experience for me though so all fine.

Nice! I will must likely play Prime 4 on Casual/Easy mode on first playthrough. There is always the possibility to do a 2nd playthrough in a harder mode.

The best Black Friday deal is that you can preorder Metroid Prime 4 at full price and play it a week from now.

I will wait 2-3 years and buy a 512 gb.
