I want story! Plenty of it! And then nice gameplay as well, sure sure.

Having read a few previews, this went from a game that I was not interested in to a game I anticipate to buy for my daughters (and myself) day one.

This was one of my favorite reveals in the movie, so this sounds great.
Bananza made me realize that I do prefer a bit of story in my 3D platformers.

@Cheez Yeah I disagree here. A food critic might not be expected to like candy just because it is sweet, but they should compare candy to other candy. And if they hate candy in general, maybe their time is better spent on reviewing other foods.
You would rarely see a game critic reviewing a game where they do not like and have experience with the genre as a whole.

@ElRoberico I am going to believe the Nate the Hate leak until April is over.

Also, out of the 34 yet revealed Collectible Cards for the Mario Galaxy Movie (40 total), the Star Fox ones are yet to be revealed on Nintendo Today. Coincidence I think not! Collectible Card reveal and Star Fox game announcement incoming this week!

The demo convinced me! Was not remotely interested before I played that.

One of the best in the series, but somehow I feel zero excitement for a remake.

I found two SNES games I never played on here (SNES is the only of the Nintendo home consoles I never owned). Earthbound and Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.
With a bit of luck one or both of them are on NSO.

I am going to guesstimate that it will be 70% discounted on the eShop sometime during 2027, so I will just wait for that.

I voted for my personal all-time favourite Ocarina of Time.

In general though, I would enjoy to see more (simple) remasters of the older handheld titles of all Nintendo IPs to make them more enjoyable to play on a 65'' tv.

A good way of avoiding leaks is just to have a general Direct and announce the games beforehand.

My 7-year old daughter has been looking forward to this for half a year like it was her birthday so we will be there on Sunday!

The fact that this comes from Nate the Hate who usually does not speak until he is 108% certain makes me somewhat confident. And excited!

I do not really care. It is not really the same as having the ending of a 100 hour game spoiled. I mean the whole plot will have been spoiled 90 minuttes after I start watching it anyway.

@Sindayl Yeah. That is because we do not have MRSPs. So someone usually sells it cheaper to draw the customers in.

I think this is fine. I am approx. 50% physical, but the physical media is presumably more expensive to produce and distribute. And why should digital pay for that.

I just got my cardboard Virtual Boy, and it is awesome!
I am sure I will feel done with it after 10 hours, but I am so glad I bought this and get to try this crazy part of Nintendo history.

It is a bit steep for a digital Indie.

But I am in lack of a game to play during Easter break (apart from my newly arrived cardboard virtual boy), and this looks to be it.

I wish there was a demo for this, because I really do not see the awesomeness in the trailer.

Ok, this is just stupid.

I first played OoT at a friends house in 1998. I never owned a SNES, so after having saved up for a year, I was finally able to move on from the NES and buy myself a N64 and OoT in late 1999 at age 16. So I bought myself my first Zelda game.

One can always discuss what is the best game ever, but OoT is certainly my favourite. It is sort of where it all really started for me.

I have an urge to share that I just reached room 46.

It really is a game unlike any other. But it is simply too random for me.
I like puzzlers because I can search for clues, try to analyze and then test my hopothesis. The latter is seriously hampered when it takes 90 minuttes to randomly draft the right rooms.

But I understand why some adore it. For me the above makes it an 7,5/10 experience (which is still good).

I never thought of it as OP. I like Elephant because it completely changes how you can play the game. And it's fun!

@LastFootnote Yes LEGO uses lead-filled LEGO for these. Especially bad are the Pokémon sets.
My Uncle worked for LEGO and when he tried to reveal this they burried him allive.

@joventer567 I would guess we get a Nintendo Today annoucement of a Switch 2 edition for June. And then the early June "E3" Direct.

Having seen the new trailer, I still cannot tell if this is a game for my 7-year old daughter or for me or for both of us or...

There goes that general Direct hope down the drain.
I hope we will see more of this game soon! I am still unsure what it is exactly.

@Sindayl It is simply because next to noone, outside a very vocal minority, cares in the slightest about GKCs.
Most of us just want the game to be as cheap as possible, run as well as possible and then the ability to resell if we so desire. For that GKCs are fine.

To those of you who argue this is a late port to Switch 2, and that it lacks cross save:
I think your problem is that you are too enlightened. I was oblivious to the existence of this game until the Indie Direct and as such I am quite happy.

@Kraven As long as you enjoy most of these few hours, I would argue it is all fine!

The brief comparison to Outer Wilds (a GOAT contender for me personally) made this an instant buy for me.

1. Gamers complain Nintendo games are never on sale.

2. Nintendo put a number of games on sale. 33% off!

3. Gamers complain Nintendo games are never enough on sale...

So I never really played a Pokemon game. Can anyone explain how this game differs from the "new generation" or the "Legends" games?

A Link to the Past was my first Zelda. But I never owned a SNES, so Ocarina of Time was the first I played all the way through by myself.
Massive impact. I doubt I would have been playing video games today if not for Ocarina.

I would much rather have NSO than VC. But then I would also like the games to actually be released on NSO and not just on the e-shop.

@koekiemonster If you have the Labo VR you do not need this.
If you do not, the cardboard version will be an easy an cheap way of playing both the VR games and the old, quite elusive library of Nintendo games.

@TerribleTerabytes But it is not just cardboard. The outer shell is cardboard.

This is the only thing Nintendo I have never played, so I will buy the cardboard version just to try how weird it is.

So if that is the argument, I guess we will get Twilight Princess for $25 on the e-shop tomorrow instead of a NSO release. Just for fun.

There goes my hope for a General Direct within the next couple of weeks...
