I feel the only important thing about Splatoon is the splatfests and the themes. This is what brings me back, the group competition. The fact that they've stopped these with the first two games is why I'll pick up the 3rd installment, plus my kids are getting big into gaming now and I'm sure they'll love it!
But I would love to see more splatfests and maybe have some sort of cool swag to win, I dunno maybe like stickers or trophies to place in the locker.
Just finished King of cards last week and picked up Yooka-Laylee and the impossible lair a couple days ago on sale so I'll be playing that for a bit. The wife got overcooked 2 for Christmas so there will probably be some kitchen chaos co-op play with us as well.
Got mine earlier in the week, and I love them! I haven't played any of the SNES games with them yet, bit they work great for shovel knight and octopath. I'm sure the mana series will work well too.
I do wish there was a capture/home button on them though.
As disappointed as I am right now, I'm ok with this. I've got a lot of games on the go right now I need to finish before I get more...haha like that will ever happen.
Well, there goes my life.....again. played through most of these back in the nineties. Mostly looking forward to tackle planescape torment again, probably the hardest of the titles listed.
@Optimusultimus still waiting for mine too. I've found on their website saying it can take up to 10 days after to get your code. And the code is valid until the end of June.
I got mine in the mail last week. Do I regret buying them?...no I don't. Not at all. Why? Bucause I like to collect things. The limited offering of these makes them a little more unique and a nice piece to a collection.
Are they over priced yes...very. at almost the same price as a pair of joycon but with a mere fraction of the tech inside. It is a bit of a rip off. But they look cool hooked up to my switch.
Nintendo has released a lot of things that are next to useless for most games ( super scope, power glove, R.OB. countless Wii peripherals, etc.) Doesn't make them less fun to have.
I just wish they added a seperate home button off to the side. The L and R buttons may work for screen cap and home but only in the NES library. I got into hollow knight with it, could move my character around and all but couldn't exit the game. Had to connect a seperate controller to do that. I think these will work great for shovel knight though as the controls for the game were set as if it were actually on the NES.
I like how it looks nicely organised. But I would also like to wait For a review.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a joycon charging station? Just received my NES joycon controllers. I'm worried they won't fit some of the Chargers, they are a little bit bigger.
Well I was planning on octopath as I have just finished all of chapter one, I feel like the storylines are just picking up....... But I picked up hollow knight and am now hooked
I'm more excited about hollow knight being on sale than any of the new releases this week.... honestly I'm usually more excited to look at the sale list than the list of new games.
First of all I think it looks great. Day 1 preorder for me.
But, I don't think this is a home console/portable hybrid most people thought about like combining the Wiiu and 3ds together. It's more like a portable home console. One you can take to friends homes/ parties/ work place lunchrooms. Reminds me of the days of LAN parties. Now if this is going to replace the 3ds I hope they make a nice travel case. It would be a shame to scratch that nice screen.
I would love to see splatoon tracks and the inklings as characters. With all the splatoon hype that's been going around it wouldn't be surprising. Plus Kalamari desert? There's squid written all over it!
@Dezzy I actually don't think we got any snow this winter here. Just rain and rain and more rain.
It's always nice to see a gaming company coming into your back yard essentially. It feels like we've been losing companies here. I believe rockstar closed their doors a couple years back and a couple others I can't recall.

Re: Physical Luigi's Mansion 3 Goodies Appear On The Japanese My Nintendo Store
@SSJ3Goku I think it's one of those things you stick on the back of your cell phone.
I wouldn't mind the magic dust bag. Would be great for all my dice.

Re: Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights And More D&D Classics Coming To Switch
I am curious to see if they run on 2nd edition like they originally did or if they took on the huge task of switching to 3.5?
Re: Sonic The Hedgehog Movie Gets Its First Official Trailer, And It's Definitely Something
Yay! From the company that ruined transformers and TMNT.......Looks like they managed to do it again, minus Michael Bay.
Re: WayForward Announces Shantae 5, Arrives On Nintendo Switch Later This Year

Re: Think Of The Children Is A Chaotic Co-Op ‘Parenting Simulator’ Hitting Switch Next Week
Think I'll pass on this one. I play games to get away and have fun, not to do the same as I do in life at the moment.
Maybe when the kids grow up and the wife asks if we want another I'll get the game as a reminder to what life was like.

Re: First Impressions: Prepping for Round Two with Pokkén Tournament DX
I would love to get this, but all the preorder that are up list it at $100 (Canadian). That's just a little too pricey for my blood.
Re: Check Out The Mummy Demastered, WayForward’s Next Project
If It plays like aliens: infestation for the DS it should be good.
Re: Preview: Battle Mode is Back On Form in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
@Nintenerdguy well that's a little disappointing. Even though I unlocked everything from the Wiiu version, I would rather unlock it all over again.
Re: Preview: Battle Mode is Back On Form in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
Can't wait for this! Already preordered! Does any one know if they kept all the unlockables locked up? Or is everything unlocked from the beginning?
