Robin and Zelda

Robin Williams has been a keen Nintendo fan and has always been happy to talk about his love for the games, with The Legend of Zelda being a particular favourite of his.

Indeed, he even named his daughter Zelda as a result of his undying love for the franchise, however, during a recent Reddit AMA he said it was in fact his son who came up with the idea:

It wasn't actually me, it was my son Zachary who came up with the idea. But once Marsha and I heard it, we said it was great.

Williams has starred in a few television adverts with his daughter promoting prominent Zelda titles such as Four Swords Anniversary Edition and Ocarina of Time 3D.

But what does he think of the Wii U? Well, he said he was yet to get hold of one:

For the WiiU or the PS4, at this point I haven't seen them yet but I might have to check into the cyber wing at Betty Ford.

He actually said the last game he played all the way through was Ocarina of Time, which he labelled the best in the series. Perhaps he and his daughter should pick up a special The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD Wii U bundle to change that! It'd make for a great advert.
