FireEmblem

1. Super Mario Sunshine 2 (Wii U)
2. Another new IP from team Garage (the team behind Splatoon). Hopefully a (J)RPG (Wii U)
3. First gameplay footage of Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem, or just the announcement of a new Fire Emblem for Wii U, if this appears to be true:
https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2014/12/rumour_has_shin_mega...
4. Luigi's Mansion 3 (Wii U)
5. Releasedate for Bravely Second and announcement of a third entry in this series.

1. Paper Mario U (probable)
2. A collaboration with Tell Tale Games (v. unlikely)
3. New 3d Donkey Kong (unlikely)
4. Acquisition of and new Banjo Kazoo game (wishful thinking)
5. Relaunch of the VC (GCN, N64, Dreamcast and Saturn added - again wishful thinking, think its dead in the water now)

It's not probable unless SMT X FE is cancelled. IS pretty much has their hands tied up in SMT X FE and STEAM right now.

Currently Playing: Steamworld Heist, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Tales of Graces F

1. Prime style Metroid game for Wii U. Frankly something that should've happened in 2012/2013.
2. Some type of Mario collectathon (ideally a completely new one, not a sequel or remake)
3. Some type of surprise, a new IP, a new gameplay idea for an existing frachise, etc.
4. Something that uses Amiibo well, maybe a Nintendo Land or Disney Infinity type of thing
5. 3DS games that are actually interesting (ideally games that take advantage of N3DS)

I think Animal Crossing, Metroid, Paper Mario, and Luigi's Mansion all have a good chance of having a new Wii U game (although I doubt that all 4 of them will get one this year, one or more of those IPs might be saved for next year). For 3DS, I'm less sure because there's less IPs that are missing on there, but there's been hints towards Classic style Metroid and Zelda. Maybe they could resort to IPs that haven't been used in a while like Wario (maybe F-Zero but it seems like F-Zero would be better suited for Wii U if anything). 3DS also doesn't have an original Donkey Kong game, so there's that too.

(in no particular order)

1. Paper Mario U (as stated by @RedDevilAde)
2. Metroid U by Retro Studios
3. Mario Sunshine HD (to hold us over until SMG3)
4. GCN and N64 on VC (once again as stated by @RedDevilAde)
5. Mario Galaxy 3
6. Animal Crossing U

Maybe putting 6 is cheating but I just have a lot of hopes.

5. Mother Trilogy (Low because everyone asks for it)
4. Super Mario Sunshine HD (New Level, take out of blue coins, fix poison river and pachinko levels)

2. Smash Bros DLC (Bring back all cut stages and characters including Snake, possibly Ice Climbers (could work on New 3DS?) along with new content)
1. Lego City Undercover Sequel (That game is so amazing)

Only one, a new Metroid, and I really hope it's Samus going on a new mission that doesn't try to work off of another entry. I feel part of the reason why a new Metroid hasn't been done yet is due to Nintendo simply not knowing how to handle it story-wise.

That doesn't mean they can't announce a new Mario game for 2016. Most of what they announce at E3 is probably going to be for 2016 anyway.

This thread is going well. So well that I'd like to ask another question:

Which game announcements still touch that "child like excitement" inside of you? I know it's cheesy as heck, but I'm assuming most gamers, ESPECIALLY Nintendo fans, know what I mean. The excitement of getting a new game, or hearing a new game announcement, just isn't the same as it was when you were a kid, however certain games come close. Here are mine, in order:

5. Final Fantasy- It is only so low because so many poor entries have come over the last however many years. I despised X and X-2 but LOVED 12. I then watched as they pumped out 3 poor entries in the XIII series, which I didn't like any of. If the series wasn't going downhill, I'd probably have it as high as #2, however. But no matter how many times the series disappoints me, I still get SO excited when I hear there's a new one coming and can't help but hope it will return to the series' old glory.

4. Brand new exciting JRPG IP's- This may be cheating, but there's nothing like seeing a new JRPG is being developed that looks incredible. All kinds of questions go through my mind: How long will it be? Will it become a sequel or long running series? etc. I remember as a kid reading through the gaming magazines and looking at the 2 or 3 pictures provided for each game, and I would just wonder for hours what it would be like to be in that world.

3. 3D Mario- I was a total SNES kid, I probably owned more than half the entire game library as a kid since I was spoiled, so seeing 2 of my favorite game series brought to 3d absolutely blew my mind. I was 12 or 13 when Mario 64 came out, and I remember taking the bus to Toys R Us with my friends to play the demo every weekend for a month straight. It was so exciting. I felt the same about Sunshine and the Galaxies, too. 3D World totally didn't do it for me in this regard, but I have every hope the series will return to it's glory with the next entry, be it Galaxy 3 or a new series.

2. Suikoden- Although I recently replied it and was slightly underwhelmed story-wise, part 1 was one of my favorite RPG's as a kid. I loved collecting all the characters and building my castle. Part 2 became my favorite RPG of all time when I played it back then, and recently replaying it, it was even better than I remembered! I really enjoyed 3, skipped 4 due to poor reviews, and really enjoyed 5, so the series has a good track record, even if the rest compare to #2. I can't describe how excited I'd be to hear a Suikoden 6 announcement.

1. Legend of Zelda- What else, really? Zelda is a huge part of my childhood. Sleepovers with friends figuring out the dungeon puzzles together are one of my most cherished memories. We all know a new Zelda announcement is coming. We even can pretty much tell approximately when. But that doesn't make it any less exciting. In fact, it kind of adds to the excitement, because you don't have to go through periods where you just kind of accept it might be gone, such as with Suikoden. It'll probably always be around as long as video gaming is, and I couldn't be happier.

Anyways, sorry for the posts being so long. You guys don't need to explain each entry. Just thought I would.

What are yours?

Why does everyone seem to hate the blue coins?

As for #3, the DKC trilogy was put back up on Wii VC when it came to Wii U VC in EU and JP. I'd hope they'd do the same in NA (not sure the Wii->Wii U discount offer would register if it was still removed)

A new Metroid hasn't been done simply because they have focused on other franchises. The last Metroid game was Other M in 2010. That's only five years ago. Metroid fans act like it's been 20 years since the last one. I suppose the reason for that is wanting a new Metroid to correct the mistake that was Other M. Don't get me wrong, I want a new Metroid as much as the next guy, but it's not like Nintendo is neglecting the franchise (minus ignoring its 25th anniversary).

I wish for at least 50% of what was shown last time to actually be released by then and some completely new genres.

Kevlar44

1. Diddy Kong Racing 2
2. 2D Metroid
3. Donkey Kong Country Returns 3
4. SNES Remix
5. Super Mario RPG 2

And unrealisticly i'd love to see bear and bird replaced with dog and duck. A Duckhunt Duo game in the style of Banjo-Kazooie would be awesome.

Most of it already is. Smash, Pokemon, Hyrule Warriors, Bayonetta 2, and Captain Toad are already out and Kirby, Yoshi, and Splatoon will for sure be out by then. That leaves XCX, Zelda, Star Fox, Devil's Third, and Mario Party 10 for sure, and Mario Maker I'm not sure about.
