With all the talk of the work they did on the fur in DK:TF it would make sense that they might be working on the next Starfox. Alas, cause this makes sense and I really want Retro to work on the next Starfox, it's not going to happen

I kinda want them to move on from metroid and try reviving a different series or better yet develop their own idea, I just feel they are ready for the next step.
On a side note, I find it fascinating how fans will take any vague "hints" given at an event or in an announcement and turn them into "confirmed" games, even if said vague hints were just mere coincidences
If I was in that position I'd very occasionally do things like that just for the fun of it. Like the above with the random shirts, pins, ties and other stuffs for an exec of a gaming/media company. Surely they know that people are going to read into it. Also Miyamotto's "hobby" thing, I bet he's always tempted to say "well lately I've been really into knitting" or something. Just to confuse the hell out of everyone
I'm not gonna bother guessing what they're working on next aside from it not being DK. And though I do want a Metroid game on Wii U, I kinda hope someone else is making it. Let RS try their hand at a new IP or something.
I guess I'm in the minority, I think the full staff was put on Tropical Freeze and we won't see another Retro title for at least 2 years. I think it's just everyone's disappointment with the "another DK" announcement that has led you to think there's more coming soon.
I would not mind a new Metroid Prime. It has been long since the last one and this one would be in HD, but I would need Wiimote+chuck support.
About Starfox, I still hope they give that one to Hideki Kamiya. I feel that Twitter where he ultimately refused is just a smoke screen so they stop pestering him about it.
I will comment in this thread, never being able to find it again.

After the DKC:TF reveal at E3, gametrailers.com had a post-E3 show with interviews. The lead guy at Retro (fat bald guy) was asked if DKC was the only game they were working on, and he confirmed that to be true. Maybe he was lying, or maybe not. Either way I don't expect anything new from Retro until 2015 at the earliest.
They never really confirmed they were working on another game, only that they can handle one small project and one big project. The issue is that it's vague as to whether or not the "big" team has even started on a game. I hope they are, but one can only wonder.
We really never had any confirmation that Retro was working on another game at all, so I went along with it that DKC:TF was more or less their current focus. Of course, after seeing the credits roll.......
