Capcom didn't realise that that's a sign of Nintendo's affection (it's a secret crush, see), but it hurt, and now Capcom's mad.
Capcom hates Nintendo and won't make any more games for it.
This, ladies and gentlemen, is apparently how business works. It's not based on financial reports, IP strategy, console install bases or all those hundreds and thousands of pages of data.
It's not based on the fact a company needs to turn a profit, and has already provided an excess of support for Nintendo consoles recently. Oh no. It's because Capcom hates Nintendo.
