I'll look into it @JaxonH and @Menchi187. You all have sparked my interest enough to look into it. Haven't been able to play my Eternal Darkness sense I gave my Wii to my brother.
I get about 90% of my gaming in at work. At least the games I most want to play. The other 10% is at home and that is about .01% what I am itching to play, 99.99% playing what my kids would like to play 😁
I cannot tell you the amount of time I have had a game card eject while carring it in my pocket. That has been hours of gameplay lost in Xenoblade Chronicles.
I am happy to hear that they added a cover to the game card slot.
So I had to return my Legend of Zelda New 3DS XL because the buttons were messing up and they gave me a (New) Galaxy New 3DS XL. I have yet to take it out of the box. There is some temptation to return this and use the money to get a New 2DS XL.
I haven't played it yet with this update. I do hope the controlls feel tighter now that it can run at 60fps. (Might even make me believe that fps can matter lol)
@impurekind That is a chance I cant see Nintendo taking without some kind of buffer. That is why I can see some kind of pay wall attached to this service. They have to calculate how many people will buy the console for the stream but never buy a Switch game.
I would absolutely use it if it comes out and works. I just disagree with your reasoning because I feel it is based on the mindset of wanting it bad but not looking at the bussiness side of things.
@impurekind How does Nintendo benifit from us streaming games from our PCs. They will look at it from a business perspective not a what we think perspective.
@JaxonH That is exactly how I was until 3 days ago when me and a friend from work was talking about Vita games. Apparently, it got released at the end of last year I think. It should be a free download sense you got it for PS4. Salt and Sanctuary took the place of Shovel Knight for my work game lol.
@gatorboi352 You really just come across as a miserable person that just wants to make other miserable. I admire the honestly in that conclusion.
What makes it a bad game. Because it is a port?
What I find to be the biggest heap of foolishness is that it is ok to stand on a pedestal and say that people that enjoy Nintendo and what they produce as fan bois but shouting your venom because you want or truly believe the Switch will fail is righteous or prophetic.
@Crono1973 I don't mind you asking. First and foremost though I have to say that when it comes to videogames I'm sure we all know there's no such thing as need it's really just want.
To answer your question it's actually quite simple. The ability to actually play the game on the go it's just an amazing feature for me. We did a five hour road trip over spring break and the portability of the Switch worked out beautifuly. The coolest thing about Lego City Undercover is as multiplayer which gives him and me the chance to play it together, like the other Lego games, also his sister and he doesn't have to take turns and or fight over it.
Portability is the same reason I hope for more ports of games. We played the heck out of our 3DS' and I finally dusted off my Vita because I found out that Salt and Sanctuary finally came out for it.
@Crono1973 I am not sure what exactly you are asking. He can spend his money as he sees fit. As far as Lego City goes, I already knew I was going to get that for him.
@Crono1973 I watch my son, 8 years old, jump up and down in excitement for Lego City Undercover for the Switch after he has dang near 100% it on the WiiU. He doesn't complain about load times, graphics, fps or it being a port. He just loves the game.
He wanted it so much that he was counting his money and my daughter was going to give him some of her money just so he can go out and buy it.
It was hard to keep on coming up with reasons on why we couldn't goto the store, I already got it for him for Easter.
So I am not convinced by any of the its a port, it doesn't deserve a 10, it doesnt have that much extra content conversational BS.
It is either just a great game that appeals to you or it doesn't.
@Adamario You should see the Digital Foundry video, if you haven't, about the comparisons between the WiiU and Switch versions. The WiiU version would alot of time run at 59fps......ZOMG!!! Then they say how people can actually notice it...
But I just grabbed Binding of Isaac and Shovel Knight Treasure Trove this past weekend.... I thought the Switch wasn't suppose to have any good games after Breath of the Wild ><
@Syrek24 They do tend to bring a more pessimistic side, which is not a bad thing. It adds more than it takes away to have a counter opinion....can't believe im defending @SLIGEACH_EIRE
Honestly speaking, I would buy about 80% of the WiiU library just to play it portably. I do hope that those that are opposed to it realize that the the developers that would port then are most of the time NOT the same developers that make the games. So porting doesn't effect other new releases.
My kids have never complained about the load times and my son is super excited to play it again. I am super excited for the multiplayer aspect of it. Maybe a Easter present for them.
@Ogbert The thing is HD Rumble is really just another output method just like the motion controllers another input method.
It's no different than adding another button or a second screen, its just input and output. That would be like saying analog, extra buttons or using headphones instead of speakers is a gimmick. If that's the case and everything is a gimmick then nothing is gimmick.
By the definition as you posted, HD Rumble is niether a trick or device ( device is not a physical object in this definition. They are using the plan, deception or trick definition) It is simply a new output method.

@JaxonH Hmmm, I could play my Eternal Darkness? Does a DVD rom drive recognize GameCube games?

Re: Review: Puyo Puyo Tetris (Switch)
@JaxonH Yep. The 3ds lives on. I have all that when I feel like keeping track of my back pack. I am also paranoid so some days I keep it simple lol.
Re: Review: Puyo Puyo Tetris (Switch)
@JaxonH Ill boot my 3ds back up for Fire Emblem Echoes =)
I hear you though. Everyone knows I game and ask where my game is if they dont see me playing it lol.
I found I can use the Hybrid cover and got a snack box to put my Joycons in for work. Then my switch fits in my cargo pants/shorts =)
Final Fantasy X is my personal favorite Final Fantasy. I was so happy the HD remake came out for Vita.

One of those games I never got around to buying. I could see me buying it for the Switch when I am not playing anything else.

@JaxonH I have been playing the cross buy version of Salt and Sanctuary on my dusted off Vita. Good to hear I am not the only fan of it.
Re: Silicon Studio Extends Support For Its YEBIS Post Processing Effects Middleware To Switch
@SLIGEACH_EIRE It is not that you are incorrect but the portability is a major selling factor. At least it has been so far, month 3 is approching.
There are many games I have and will double and in some cases triple dipped in.

I bought 2 of those =)
Re: Citigroup Analysts Predict Nintendo Will Release a Mini-Switch in 2019
I could see this as well as see myself getting it for my kids. I agree that it would have to be without detachable joycons and will not doc.
It would be for more than just kids though. It would be just a straight portable.

Another great surprise would be the rumored supplemental computing device now that the official Xbox Scorpio Specs have been revealed.

An ARMS demo would be icing on the cake. I always get overly hyped for Nintendo Directs. I can only hope for a surprise or 10 =)

I am still working on Breath of the Wild. I will be Shovel Knight Treasure Trove when I get done with Zelda.
Snake Pass does look interesting though =)
Re: Don't Worry, The Rumble in Snake Pass Will Be Fixed Soon
@Ogbert I think HD Rumble is designed for immersion. It is up to the developer to market it as a gimmick to their game.
