Re: Talking Point: When Did 'Good Enough' Become Good Enough For Pokémon?

IMO its undeniable that Gamefreak have struggled with Pokemon since it went 3D. The DS era was absolute peak, you can feel how much love and effort went into those games.

The first 3D(S) games X&Y were okay, I enjoyed them at the time, but they just didn't stick with me like the previous ones did. Ever since then it's been clear that Gamefreak don't know how to make a 3D game effectively, and are also never given the time needed to figure it out. All of the newer games feel like they needed an extra year or two in development, and are missing the love and polish of the DS era.

I have no issue with paying $80 for Mario Kart World, and I'm not well-off or have a lot of disposable income (quite the opposite really, it's been a rough few year).

The reason? My mates profile has over 1200 hours of game time with Mario Kart 8, a huge chunk of which is all of us playing together over the last 8+ years. Assuming we play Mario Kart World for just as long, that 6 Cents per hour of gameplay..

How could I possibly complain about that?
