I thought this was OK. A portable version of the NES Baseball game for $3 seems reasonable. And with the suspend feature, I can play in quick 5-minute bursts. I'd give it a 6. Also, with the release of this game, all NA non-pack in Game boy Launch Titles are now available on the service.
If you think Wii Sports Resort (I would say Wii Music as well) is shovelware, I'm assuming you haven't actually played these games. Imagine Babyz is shovelware. Wii Sports Resort is a masterpiece.
It's not FPS I dislike, what I hate are Generic Mindless games that are released yearly. One of the reasons I love Nintendo is that they seem to avoid that trend. (The Mario Party games were made by Hudson, they don't count.)
Well, they promised a better online store, and we got the eshop, which was leages better than what we had to deal with before (It's not as good as the app store but that was kind of expected). Now Nintendo is promising to fix many of it's other mistakes and I hope we get similar results.
Of course the demos would download in the background! A similar thing happened with the latest system update. I went to sleep with my system in sleep mode, an woke up with the update on my system (all I needed to do was install the update).
It's going to be fun to try and download the Mario Kart demo before spotpass takes effect.
Back when the Wii had all of these problems, Lacking online, no HD, not very many good 3rd party games, complaints were minimal. Now Nintendo promises to fix it’s mistakes, and suddenly everyone is angry!
Considering the fact that I actually PLAY the games I buy, I consider this to be a nice bonus. I feel sorry for all of the people that bought 13 copies of Wii Fit plus in the hope of getting a Super NES classic controller.
@niner: So that means, eventually, Nintendo will be able to offer at least 1000 high quality Game Boy Line Games for under Ten Dollars each, games which will be exclusive to the Nintendo eshop and can therefore not be sold on apple's app store....
What about all tje Sonic games being on the eShop?
In an Iwata asks interview, it was said that he was hoping that each region's shop would try to compete with each other... Noa; "Ha, take that Noe, we to have Tennis now!"
I think galaxy 2 gave us the best of both worlds, the main quest featured more linear levels with some exploration, the green stars that you had to collect later required more exploration than Mario 64 sometimes.
Yes! I'll gladly take the entire gameboy library now, and all of the '3dsware' later. I mean, we got no classic games on the Dsi yet we got 300+ Dsiware games. If nintendo wants to spend the next two years putting out all the best gameboy games, fine by me.
@billy-beauts I know right? I like and agree with Corbs' reviews and impressions, but all that freaking out about a small error that affected 10% of 3DS owners seemed kinda pointless. I would be nice to him though, he's the only person outside of Nintendo that knows how to make the 3DS print money...
Looks good to me, I just hope it will be avalible in at least one other color at launch. I'm guessing the circle pads were put in to make this thing easy to store.
Although I'm still not sure about this Wii U stuff, I have to say that Nintendo did a great job on the Wii-3ds side of things this year. The Zelda 25 orchastra was pretty good to.
@Kid_A Exactly! Correct me if I'm wrong, but din't Nintendo release more "hardcore" 1st party games on the wii than they did on the gamecube? We haven't even had titles like Punch-out! or Donkey Kong on the last two "Hardcore" gaming consoles.
I think a lot of people fail to realize that it is themselves that have changed. Back when they were 10 years old, Mario might have been "Hardcore" to them. Just because now they're 27 and find Call of Duty to be more fun than Mario they think that Nintendo has changed for the worst.
@66 When would you ever need 2 terabytes of storage on your system? That's nearly enough to download every single Wiiware and Virtual console game... Twice! Not that wouldn't be a fun thing to do. Maybe Nintendo should just load it with 10 yottabytes of memory from the start.
Seriously people? Just Buy a 32gb SD card for 30 bucks and, insert it in your system, then never worry about it again. You don't need to swap SD cards every five minutes just to play a game. Or maybe you guys want this system to cost $600?
This is old news. The Street fighter creator (I forget his name) claimed that SF4 3D would be able to connect with a gaming system that does "not yet exist" about a month ago. Oh, and he couldn't reveal details until 3 months from now. Suspicious...
Can you buy it without the remote? I don't really want a fifth one.
I thought the original Wii play was pretty good. It didn't hold my attention very long, but for ten bucks it was well worth it. If this is like Wii Sports resort, then count me in.
I thought Risky's Revenge was way to short. Just look at the original Nintendo Power article this was revealed in! We were promised a trilogy of games, and instead, we got one short game with an extended Final Boss. Hopefully Shantae 3D is much longer.

@Moco_Loco
Agreed, the Original and DX versions of Tetris are the best games of the series.

For three dollars, yes.

I'm sure the $50 price tag comes with more Rhythm Games.

Re: Netflix Arrives on 3DS in North America Tomorrow

Re: North America Nintendo Video Service Due "Later This Summer"
I believe Net-flex will start out 2D only, with 3D support added over time. Fine by me, as long as I can watch The Super Mario Bros movie on the go.
Re: Retro Roads Never Looked Better Than 3D Pixel Racing
I didn't know that 3D dot heroes was a breakout hit...
Anyways, this looks cool.

FPS are long gone, the gaming fad of the next generation is TETRIS!

Re: Review: Donkey Kong (Game Boy)
Although I do like the Mini Mario games, it would be cool if this series went back to it's platforming roots for 3DS sequal.
This game is a steal for $4.00, considering the NES version on the Wii VC contains 3 levels and costs $5.00...

Spot-pass just requires you to have access to the internet, no other people required!
Re: North America, These eShop Games Await You Next Week
Now I can finally play Super Mario Land!
I really don't care if the browser has flash, the only reason I would use it it to look up help on a part of a game I was stuck on.
