I also would like 16-bit rpgs. But I would also take an 8-bit rpg that had decent music, a strong story, and some of the modern advancements of the genre.
as this site is quickly becoming the definitive resource for wiiware games and reviews, are there plans for an index of games, or means to sort them, say by release date or review score?
If it's great game, $10 is a fair price, whether more content comes down the pipe or ntot. But it seems that with the pc version being cheaper per ep and as a collection- and with the worry that the future wiiware eps will have murky release dates (compared to pc release dates that usually aren't secrets), I don't know anymore which platform I will get it on.
it's possible that even if nintendo addressed the issue now, via a hd or playing directly off an sd care, that it would be too late. This hurdle may already have coralled developers and skipped casual gamers.
a Marvelous Entertainment game that is not Harvest Moon? interesting the article also reminded me how much I am looking forward to vanillaware's Oboro Muramasa Youtoden
still don't understand why release dates need to be a surprise. Imagine the release date for the dark knight was a surprise- keeping the consumer in the dark in these cases makes negative sense
wiiware is a perfect platform for retro remakes, there a ton of sidescrollers with timeless gameplay that could be awesome with a shinier coat of paint (and maybe some oldschool highscore leaderboards)
I really enjoyed evermore, probably because of the dog and it being the first square game I had played- though I had played a few enix games on nes and snes.
the wii already can run directly off the sd card from the photo channel, jus expand this feature I don't care if this clown is calling customers out if it results in nintendo waking up and solving an increasingly tragi problem. I continue to submit daily "questions" via the voting channel asking for an sd card or portable harddrive solution.
There has to be pressure not only from consumers, but 3rd party developers. The stroage problem will only become more prominent, and the longer nintendo drags its feet, the worse it will get.
the toki trailer on the wii's nin channel is subpar, as is the proto trailer. But I am definitely getting toki, and have to check out the pc demo for proto first. Only game I have gotten so far was lost winds which was fantastic.
I don't need a hard release date, but I don't understand why there is a level of secrecy involved. It seems harmful to the publisher and to the consumer, especially on the wiiware front. It is one thing to want to surprise gamers with an indemand vc title, it is another to be very vague about an unknown wiiware title. The more information the better. I am looking forward to Goo, if it isn't ready yet fine. But once it is, how about announcing it has gone gold or something. Strike up my interest and if you don't have the exact date, let me know it is coming soon.

Re: North American WiiWare Top 10
they need to rename stuff that deserves to sell, such as "Mario Presents Lost Winds", or elsewhere, "Mario & Okami"

the toki trailer on the wii's nin channel is subpar, as is the proto trailer.
