Re: Feature: Why I Love Import Gaming

The closest I've gotten to importing is buying a game while traveling in Europe. I don't think I will ever order a game from Japan, but I'm sure I would love some of these if they are ever localized.

There's more to this review than the score, guys. Dave might have thought Island Tour was above average, but I would doubtlessly hate the game if there's any truth to his grievances.

Their page also mentions Ico and Ghibli, both which came to my mind before Zelda. I don't know if i will be backing it.
I'm surprised to see that they will add a boss battle mode if they hit $70,000. That should be one of the first things you add if your game has bosses!

This sounds like one of the worst Mario Party games ever. I stopped playing them after 8, which was the first Mario Party in years to have truly disappointed me.
@Romeo The games do support download play. DS is one of the best in the series, if a bit lacking in mini-games.

I'm a little bit confused by the assertion that you like other games but you can't bring yourself to play them. It sounds as if you don't really like them, then.
Though even reviews for mature games sometimes say little more than "wow, this is a joy to play."
Anyway, there's a reason that these discussions overlook games such as Ni no Kuni, Dragons Crown, LBP, Puppeteer, and Ratchet and Clank. It's because these games receive very little publicity in comparison to other PS3 exclusives and multiplatforms. When's the last time a game like this was nominated for an award, barring LBP? People think PS3 is only for mature gamers because the media portrays it that way.
It's true that indie games tend to provide different experiences as @belmont said. I usually like them, but I'm wary of those that some use the indie label to justify a poor game.
