We do enjoy examples of Nintendo gaming culture in action here at Nintendo Life, and these often come in the form of musical arrangements and tributes. With The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds currently gracing stores around the world, popular YouTube musician Taylor Davis — who's made her name with game-related arrangements — has released a new video of her violin medley encompassing Song of Time and Song of Storms from Ocarina of Time.
Like many of these videos benefiting from strong production values, the scene is set with some ancient ruins, a Sheik outfit and an epic playing-in-the-rain sequence. The arrangement is excellent, and is actually part of the Melodies of Hyrule: Music from The Legend of Zelda album currently available to purchase from loudr.fm.
Check it out below and let us know what you think.

Honestly surprised it took this long to appear here.
Beautiful Women + Playing Violin masterfully (see what i did there) + Zelda music = Hot
Now I'm wondering where the video is set.
not bad, not bad at all
so good
I like the effort/idea, I'm not so fond of the production though.
I'm honestly considering getting a CD. The video, while well shot, is nothing special, to me.
Lindsey Stirling is pretty good also.
Nice nice.
Seems a little overly produced.
Music was alright I guess, though it's basically just 2 sets of a couple bars played repeatedly.
Its nice i like it.
Wow some of these comments are overly critical. The video was awesome and she played really well.
This was amazing!
Is this a trend now? Girls playing violin renditions of video game themes and making dramatic 'music videos'? Lindsey Stirling? Taylor Davis? Are there more?
I liked the sound of the music. Didn't like the sort of fake orgasm kind of thing she was doing though.
Pretty nice work. There has been so much great work done with Zelda music however that the bar has been set pretty high.
@unrandomsam
Seriously? I'm guessing you've never seen anyone passionate about playing music before? There's often a lot of emotion that goes into live music playing and whether it's genuine or not it is common and an attempt to inject emotion into the playing. It is often the difference between a stale performance and a moving one whether you are looking or not. If you can't feel the music you'd never become more than an average musician. Also, this performance has a very mild amount of emoting compared to some.
Thanks for recommending her, guys. I bought her two other tracks.
Lol, being passionate about what we like/love is what spurs creativity and innovation, this can apply to anything, but music is especially effective in conveying this, as a fellow music lover and former musician I can relate. I spend so much time seeking out new music and artists just to enjoy the pleasure of hearing something appealing to my ears.
My only complaint is that I couldnt concentrate on the music due to the beautiful woman playing violin in the rain!
@murphy77: Yes
@kokirii: For a while now, it has appeared that way, yes. Pretty much the concepts is the same every time. Woman, or girl playing video game music(a lot of OoT videos) on a stringed instrument(usually violin), in costume matching game series, dramatic outdoors/nature/scenic locations, or cg outdoors/nature/scenic background.
It makes me question if these girls actually like the games they're doing musical renditions of, or if they just love the music? Either way, the videos are nice, & it at least appears she feels the music, & loves it/is passionate about it. It's just that, while it is nice, it seems like there are so many of these kinds of videos anymore, they begin to pretty much resemble each other.
Also, note to other guys that say she's hot: that's a matter of opinion, & she is nice looking. She's also got a ring on her left hand- (on her) ring finger I believe.
@murphy77 I don't understand the hype behind her. She's a good violinist who does all these weird dance moves that really distract from the music. Sure, moving because of emotion in the music is fine, but her dancing feels so forced. Also when she dances while playing, she goes from being good to ok. There are a lot of way better violinists on youtube. The only reason they're aren't as well-known is probably because they're not a good looking girl who dances and has enough money/connections to be able to good music videos.
Ooo, awesome to see Taylor Davis featured here, I'm a big fan. She also does some nice Chrono Trigger songs on the album (the main theme + frog's theme).
@Capt_N
No, she definitely enjoys playing the games! She's an RPG addict.
Oops, I meant her first album Gaming Fantasy has the Chrono Trigger tracks, not this new one
Awesome video! Cool setting, cool sheik constume, cool violin! And the girl looks pretty nice too! Looks like Lindsey Stirling has a rival!
