I think its funny when people complain about something free...I mean, if you spent you're hard-earned money on it, then that's a different story. I know I will be giving that album a download.
I thought Nintendo was all about making/licensing things that were AFFORDABLE to the consumer. While I think the sweater is kind of cool...it is pretty crazy that anybody would spend that amount of money on it...
I can't believe how bad the visuals are in the game. I mean, I love retro games, so I usually choose gameplay over graphics. However, I think the developers must have been VERY lazy to shove out something like that, when we have seen games as beautiful as Jett Rocket on WiiWare.
I really am super excited for this. I can't believe we have just about 2 weeks to wait. I pre-ordered it on Amazon, which says that you get a $20 gift card towards other stuff for pre-ordering the game, so I think I am gonna get Chrono Trigger for DS...Two awesome games for just $50!
$30 is a decent price, but it is probably something I won't buy right away. I remember seeing Dragon's Lair at the local arcade when I was little, so the nostalgia with this one is quite strong. "Watch Mode" is a great addition if you just feel like watching a cartoon.
Their software sales will make up for it with all the great titles coming out now, until the 3DS release...and then that little gem will make them an ungodly amount of cash.
I saw the price of this has gone down to $20, I wonder if it's worth getting now that it's a bit cheaper. I am a huge Sonic fan, but I already own Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection on PS3, which has all 4 Sonic games. However, playing them portably sounds great...just flawed in this case.
Since I am really enjoying the game, I can't wait for the sequel. If there were at least 3 episodes, with 3 zones each, I would be pretty happy with that. Regarding the questions of people beating short games in no time...Well, I am one of those people that plays a bit of each game in little bits. I have lots of backlogged games, so I like to play one game for an hour, then another for another hour, I get burnt out on games if I play for like 3 hours in a row, really.
@gaminguy: I say get it, because it really is worth the 1,000 points. It is a very solid 8, so I could not agree more with this review. Sure it isn't the longest game in the world, but completing it 100% will be a fun way to eat up 5 or so hours.
Comic-Con would be interesting. I have interest in a few comics, but I am by no means, some die hard fan. I am going to Star Wars Celebration V in Orlando, FL (just an hour away!) in August, and I am kinda nervous because it is my first convention, period. Sucks I won't be playing M: OM there Luckily, just a few weeks after I will have my hands on my very own copy!
Just got a 2,000 Nintendo Points card the other day and d/led X-Scape (great game!). Looks like I will be saving the rest of my 1,200 pts. for Shantae and some cheap 200 pt. games.
It's times like these I really wish I was into traditional JRPG's. The game seems like a blast, but just not for me. I have 40 bucks credit to Gamestop I wouldn't mind using on this...but maybe it's better to hold off for Metroid: Other M.
I was stuck on either buy the NPC Mario Power Tennis (Which I have never played) or going with Mario Tennis (N64) (which I have played MANY times as a kid). I think that this review has really pushed me more towards the original. It will not only give me lots of great nostalgia, but like you said in the conclusion, it's a pure tennis experience without unnecessary gameplay elements.
Darn it, Jonathon...why did you have to go and give this game a good review! I have like 2 or 3 other Wii Ware games I need to pick up...and now THIS! All joking aside, great review, and the game looks like it will be fun, i'll make sure to download it before Summer's end.
@gameking23: I believe that you are late, because June 30th is the final day to reach Platinum. I see that you posted your comment on July 1st.
@Pegasus: Yeah, when I read the confirmation e-mail and it said I should receive it by the end of December I was just thinking..."Wow...what a wait!" heh.
Since I am not really excited for Furry Legends in the first place, I can't say that this delay is upsetting. However, I know a few users that are looking forward to it, and for them, I feel pretty bad.
Nice week! I am becoming more and more interested in Jett Rocket, so I may very well pick that up soon. Mario Tennis is tempting, but i'm not sure...I downloaded Super Smash Bros for nostalgic value and haven't touched it really since I own Brawl, lol.
Thats really cool! I know I have been watching it on and off, and it looks like they are having a lot of fun, which then makes us viewers have lots of fun. Congrats to breaking a record and to earning more for charity.
I am with a lot of people on this one, and the wait kinda stinks but it is a good thing. Any holiday/birthday money I get I will save up for it. If this thing launches with some strong titles I will be spending...ALOT.
Thanks for the heads up, NL. I submitted my entry, but I doubt I would spend the 1,000 points on Furry Legends. I have my eye on Art of Balance at the moment. .
Their reactions are priceless. I think Kinect is interesting and great technology, however, it just seems like it is mainly aimed at the casual crowd...which I am not part of.
The 3DS is amazing...and it hasn't even come out yet! I can seriously name 5+ games I want out of the announced titles. That is rare to see such a strong (hopefully Launch) line-up. I cant wait until we hear pricing, so I can start saving.
Heh, my buddy who is a Microsoft fanboy, won't shut up about Kinect. I really don't care if Sony and Microsoft have more of a 1:1 experience, for me it's about the properties and software, and I will always be a die-hard Nintendo fan.
I am with many on here that well sure, I could be angry that its a pretty "meh" week and that yet again there are no VC titles. However, I've begun to just not care lol, saves me money. At the same time, I really miss the excitement I got every Monday when I logged onto the site (when it was just VCreviews.com) and we were getting 3 solid titles a week...I wanna feel that again.

Re: Animal Boxing Looking for New Contenders on DSiWare
If this plays like a portable Punch-Out and we don't HAVE to it doesn't have "stylus-only" controls...then I am interested.
Re: Review: Pop Island: Paperfield (DSiWare)
I don't have any friends with a DSi, is this still worth getting, even if I will probably never try the multiplayer mode?
Re: Headstrong Hard at Work on Trio of 3DS Games
How is the team going to make us a game, when they are all decapitated?
Re: Review: LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 (Wii)
I am worn out on the LEGO franshise, to be honest. But I hear from Harry Potter fans that this game is great.
Re: Interplay Moulds Us Some ClayFighter DSiWare Screenshots
I used to love Clay Fighter back in the day. Just not sure what I think of this DSiWare version...looks a bit rough.
Re: Review: Divergent Shift (DSiWare)
Doesn't look like an awful game, but yeah, I would rather play Chronos Twins.
Re: Nintendo's Q4 Schedule Outs BIT.TRIP FATE
Stinks that Super Meat Boy and Shantae don't come out until the "holiday season". However, can't WAIT for DKC Returns and Kirby!

Re: Angry Birds Making Their Nest on WiiWare
Like many said...seems more of a game I would pick up on my DSi. If i had an iPhone, I would just buy it there, but oh well, DSi works.

Re: Review: F-Zero GX (GameCube)
Great game, glad I still have my copy! I remember when it came out, I had friends who actually felt sick while watching.
Re: Review: BlayzBloo: Super Melee Action Battle Royale (DSiWare)
When I saw this was out, it looked interesting, but after seeing gameplay vids...man, does it look clunky!
Re: NES-Style DJ Hero is Bleeping Cool
Very neat, and it kinda makes me want to pick up DJ Hero, now that it's cheaper.
Re: And Yet It Moves Tears Up North America on August 23rd

I feel so bad for you Corbs, having to review this crappy game.
Re: And Here's Your 2010 Club Nintendo Awards, North America
While some may not care for this prize, I think it beats the crap out of last years prizes. I just ordered mine, so I can't wait for it to arrive
