When it comes to handhelds, I actually do like the physical media. Since there isn't much memory on the 3DS, download-only would require a lot of storage. I know I recently bought an Xbox 360 Slim, and it has a 250 gb hdd, so it is rather convenient to just download a game "on demand" on XBL since it takes like maybe 5 gigs of space (nothing to a hdd so big). Nintendo should maybe look into that in the next handheld, but also have a slot to play games from previous generations.

I am probably going to pick up the classics Excitebike (if its free) and Legend of Zelda. As well as Super Mario Land.

So we get this eShop goodness the same month as Zelda: OoT? good times!

While I am not a Saints Row fan really, I did have fun with the original and 2nd game, because they are so off the wall. Not disappointed its not coming to the 3DS though, I wouldn't of picked it up anyways.

Sounds like a great deal if you rent a single-player game with a rather short campaign. You could beat it over a weekend or even in a day if you have the time, for just around $2-$4. For people complaining about the price, it's better to pay that for a game you know you can beat in a few days, then what Blockbuster charges (I think its around $10) and sure you get it a week, but many games you are already done with by then. I think GameFly is still your best bet if you play enough games, it's pricey but you can play A LOT over the course of a month.

I'd rather just see this as a 3D Classic on the eShop. A Link to the Past is great, but not my favorite Zelda game (that goes to OoT).

If this is a full retail release, consider me sold. I only owned BEAT and RUNNER, but wanted to play the others. I would love to replay the two I owned in 3D, and like that there is no such thing as a bad Bit. Trip game.

I would buy Banjo in 3D in a heartbeat. So mad I don't have a 360 to play those games (or an N64)!

I am just happy to be getting games like Zelda: OoT 3D, StarFox, and Super Mario 3DS this year, if I have to wait until 2012 for MarioKart and Paper Mario (two I am most looking forward too), then so be it, you won't hear any complaining from me.

Excitebike is seriously one of my favorite NES games. This is fantastic news! It seems like it would lend itself very well to added dimension, seeing as its about switching lanes and making jumps and all.

Gorgeous...simply gorgeous. That theme never gets old, its so beautiful and ominous.

Really can't wait to buy some old Game Boy games!

Just took my 3DS to Target to grab a few items, and to my surprise I got a Streetpass visit. Was very exciting to pop open the 3DS and see it there! I will definitely start bringing it with me whenever I go to stores or the mall.

This will be THE reason to own the 3DS. Maybe not the best headline ever, but at least the best this year.

I love the art direction in this game, will most likely give it a download.

The 9 is well-deserved. This was THE Mega Man game that got me into the entire series.

While I don't usually care much about boxart...the EU boxart really does blow the U.S. cover out of the water.

YES! I haven't bought a VC game in ages, and MMX will change that.

The day this comes out, I am going to turn off the cell phone, make sure all my errands are run...I want it to just be me, Zelda, and the 3DS for the day so I can enjoy one of my favorite games of all time...for like the 20th time. =]

Such great news. Seems far away in a sense, but I know it will creep up on us sooner than we think...I just hope the US/EU release dates aren't far behind. Early August would be cool!

While I am not the biggest RE fan, the screenshots look fantastic. I can only imagine how awesome this will look and play when it finally comes out.

Sounds good to me, really. I think it would be too much for gamers if they wanted to play a game on the home console, then took their DS maybe on a long ride to school or work. If all that time you were staring at 3D screen, your eyes would really hurt. I would just love to see the new console with great graphics and better online.

Very interested, because I liked the WiiWare release, and I think it's worth a second go-around.

When I bought the 3DS I got some reward zone coupons and a giftcard, so I should be able to pick this up for $20 after I use all of that stuff. I liked the original, and this seems just wonderful, as well.

I am with Tj92 on this one, I haven't updated mine yet, and I will wait till there is official word that the update doesn't cause the problem. Now if I get the BSOD without updating, i'll probably just say to heck with it and DL it, heh.

Such a bummer, hope they add more in the near-future. I JUST got my 3DS last night, so I will be sure to find my FC once I fiddle with it in a bit and add it to the FC thread.

Own this on my PS3 (as a PSOne port), so i wont be picking it up, but it would be fun to play portably.

Great news, haven't bought a SNES game in ages on the VC, so these titles would be nice to pick up. I loved the original Adventure Island, and it seems that people seem to really enjoy the SNES versions.

This game looks very boring and generic.

I hope they use the budget wisely. Spend more time working on the physics and momentum like 47drift said, and I would be pretty happy. Hopefully they could also throw a little more time into the music.

Well that's exciting. I know I am still waiting a while before I get one, either the end of the year, early next year, or maybe even for a better version a couple years down the road.

Wow, that was an amazing tribute! The only Neo Geo games I can really remember playing a lot were the Metal Slug titles. This video made me want to pick up a few on the VC, though...

@odd69 - You should really check out 3D Dot Game Heroes for PS3. It is basically the original Zelda by design, and everything is made out of little cubes/pixels, it's a really great game.

After watching King of Kong, I really am a huge fan of Wiebe and the nice guy he is. However, I am really excited to watch Doctor Kong, because just from those clips, Dr. Chien seems like a really likable guy, as well.

Awesome. I played the original a lot as a kid and hear good things about AI2, so I am sure I will download this title!
