The fact that Squares marketing team apparently doesn't see a reason to port games onto the Switch, really shows how we ended up with the KH cloud versions. Like you can argue day and night about if 3 could run in the Switch. (It could) but there is absolutely no argument for the rest of the games to not be able to run on it.
@Shellcore Dude, Mario and Rabbids gets deep in its combat then you would think. Just because it has Rabbids in it that doesn't mean the overall game design is impacted by them. The combat system(While obviously being a reskin of a certain other RPG) is just as deep.
@AnimeGamerFan Alot of people will say that the Ninja Storm games are the best way to experience the Naruto story. So in a way you kinda are watching the anime, just in game form.
Now heres the thing people are forgetting. This is a "Rewards" program. They are rewarding you for buying software. So I can imagine that just because a game gives you 5% back, that doesn't mean the coins you get will only be worth 5% of any game. Rather the gold coins you get may be far greater than what you payed, similar to Club Nintendo
Ok so if Super Mario Odessey is a 60$ game and I got 12 Gold coins from it being 5% of the games actual worth. Then you would need 120 Gold Coins in order to buy another 60$ game. Which makes sense when you look back at how Club Nintendos Platinum Points added up when you bought new games on there as well.
@MrGawain And Switch games you didn't, and Switch games that will come out in the future. Also theres a chance you could even buy a full switch game with the points you have, so its more than just a discount
@crackafreeze I am almost certain that Miyamoto has confirmed before that the Koopalings do infact have a mother, but Miyamoto's not ready yet to show who it is.
The reason Mario Doesn't have a Belly Button is simple. Mario was not birthed like normal people. Mario was delivered by a Stork who was attacked and accidentally dropped him on Yoshi's Island. So its as simple as that, mario just never had a cord to cut.
@aaronsullivan Like I said, the second set looks like it is what Project Giant Robot was meant to be. And if it is a fully fleshed out Nintendo game then I say it would be worth what their charging for it. But still I will need to see more about what the games themselves offer first before its clear on the games worth.
Also ya it seems like the first set comes with like 6 games while also including the materials, which make sense. But I have no idea why the second set is 70$. I still think that's what Project Giant Robot ended up becoming after it was canceled on WiiU.
Nintendo:"We have found a way to make Cardboard fun as hell for Kids" Random Guy:"Ya but just because you did something amazing with Cardboard and made it for kids doesn't mean Jack-S*** to me. So you should have never made it just because I don't like it"
@thesilverbrick Again you forget all the 3DS retail games past E3 2017, with only 1 this month. But you can't ignore all of the 3DS games that came out last year, after E3 no less. So its too early to say Nintendos giving up on the 3ds. Especially when people said the 3DS would die last year
So ya nothings changed. The 3DS is still in the same shape it was years ago. Eventually, it will die out, but I would give it another 2 years. Since the 3DS can still make a ton of money given how many people own it.
@thesilverbrick As Dillons Rolling Western: The Dead Heat Breakers. The third game of a strong series of 3ds games. So thats 3 games coming from Nintendo themselves this year. Which isn't bad given that late 2017 we still got a ton of 3DS games as well, including Mario Party Top 100, and Metroid: Samus's Return. And given that E3 2017 revealed 3ds games to release after E3 through 2017, and through the beginning of 2018. That shows what E3 this year could do.
I see the Switch as being for the main games like Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odessey, while the 3DS will continue on with games like Link Between Worlds or Samus's Return. And don't forget, Eiji Aonuma already stated his plans for the next 2D Zelda game, so the 3ds may end up getting 1 last Zelda game, which should change the way we see 2D Zelda games, as he put it.
@thesilverbrick Wait till E3. This direct was mostly focused on Switch announcements while 3ds just covered most games already announced last E3. I doubt the 3DS is going to die this soon as there is still a ton of money to make off the system. And don't forget that they aren't wasting any resources by having people work on the 3DS games, just like how they have a Handheld team for Zelda, and a Console Team for Zelda. And trying to move members from one side to the other would only slow production down due to the different methods and system each team has to work with.
@thesilverbrick Well, it depends on your tastes really. if Pinball doesn't keep your attention then it's obviously not for you. But I have always loved Pinball. Watching the ball bounce around, gathering points, building a ever higher score with new routes and actions unlocking with each area your ball hits. Its definitely something I enjoy from time to time, especially in a competitive setting. Its kinda like why people like watching colored blocks fall to make rows for points.
Also from the sounds of it, this is just going into what is better graphically as well as performance wise. Not going into the changes in how the game plays or the small additions to it. So even if it is slightly downgraded from the Xbone version, it may be the better version to play.
To see Nintendo put so much effort and time into what could have been a very simple and dumbed down phone game shows just how amazing of developers they are.
@Kirbyfan One Punch Man is very similar. Both dealt with a world full of heroes. Although My Hero Academia is a take on Western Super Heroes, while One Punch Man is a parody of anime cliches.
@eltomo When asked about bringing back the "Children" mechanic from Fates and Awakening, the developer said that there may be a surprise in the near future. So either we will be getting more of the children characters in a banner, or we will be getting a feature that lets us get kid characters if we own certain characters for it.
I always said Splatoon would make an amazing platformer. Using your Ink to climb walls, Platform onto certain things, grind on rails, expand the sponges, and so on. A Splatoon platformer would be amazing, and if Nintendo were to make a Single Player only Splatoon, I would want it to be a 2D Shoot Em Up/Platformer. There's so many possibilities.

@MarioPhD Why does a Cartoon plumber need villains That try causing the end of existence thanks to a book of prophecy, a giant turtle that causes a black hole that could destroy the universe, An evil cult trying to summon a demon upon the world, An alien race trying to take over the world thanks to the power of time travel, and the list goes on.
@JTMnM Funny how instead of trying to counter my argument you instead try insulting me with such petty things like grammatical errors. Well unlike you I will actually counter your argument. 1. You are against the Nintendo switch port. That's it and that's all. And so if you are against it, that means that you don't want others to have it as you are entirely against it, as you said in your argument. To further prove this point you even claimed KH fans want another side game for the Switch instead of the port of the major game, which looking at the response for the 2 DS side games, I don't know what gave you that crazy logic. 2. My use of grammar has nothing to do with the argument itself, instead you choose to point out my 1 to 2 grammar mistakes just to try and make yourself look more skilled in comparison, when really the fact you pointed out such tiny mistakes just shows how much you care at the fact that you have nothing to argue against. And 3. KH3 was built for the PS4 and it's getting a Xbone release, a hardware it wasn't built for as Xbone is just a port. So if you're not so against that, then your own counter argument is well......Stupid xD
@JTMnM You need to read more carefully apparently as I said, "You're against having a port on the Nintendo Switch" That and its implications afterward are based on what you said in your statement. But yes your right, cause I mean look at the reception of Recoded and 358/2 days. Kingdom hearts fans would just love new versions of those instead of a Nintendo port of Kingdom hearts 3. But I find your logic questionable. Square Enix put out a ton of versions of KH 1 and 2 and people bought all of those versions. Yet when it comes to KH3 you don't think any KH fans would be happy to get multiple versions for different consoles? Having 1 to play at home on the PS4 and 1 to play on the go?
@JTMnM So your against having a port of Kingdom hearts 3 on the Nintendo Switch for others who either don't have a PS4 or Xbone, or just those who want a hand held version. But another Recoded or 358/2 Days on the Switch sounds just soooo much more amazing than a KH3 port? But people forget Square Enix is usually really good with ports of their games, they can work with limited space to amazing degrees. So it may not be as great as the PS4 version, but its not gonna be watered down to unplayability. If anything the change would be slight.
@JTMnM true but Kingdom Hearts also found life on Nintendo Hand Helds. I know alot of people will be getting the PS4 and Xbone releases. But who wouldn't want a handheld version of KH3?
@Tempestryke true, yet untrue as the games have you slaughtering horde after horde of gruesome monsters.
