Re: Review: Blippo+ (Switch) - An Uncanny Channel-Surfing Sim That Perfectly Captures '90s TV

orbots

Interesting concept

I was a small kid in the very early 2000s era, in the early 90s i wasn't even born yet, im from the era of the gamecube (never had consoles from the eras below)

I remember the old medium square tvs and annoying distorting screens that you had to squeeze your eyes or get close to the tv to see things better and that's the reason im nearly blind and i need glasses today

I think this thing should be cheaper for something that is not actually a game

Or include some of those old games but that's more a thing of the satellite tv era and not the FTA tvs era

I remember that in satellite television era i loved playing satellite streamed games using the tv remote , including a something i recall calling "Johnny Megatron" i think it was not actually named that way kids usually misname things and associate it with similar named things (in this case megatron from the old transformers series) and also a game of a rabbit that had ladders kinda like donkey kong and had to avoid some foxes crabs or something

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl - Duel: Inazuma Eleven

orbots

Ah i really loved this anime
And of the games I preferred the wii inazuma eleven strikers and the new victory road (i played the beta)

I vote Europe
While the pose of axel/goenji with the fire kick that showcases his fire power is cooler
i prefer the green ⚽️ pitch background with the goal on the end and the images showcasing some of the players

ooof i was looking for underrated wii hidden gems to get, this one is definitely not one of them , i never play anything lower than 5 stars

Re: Random: This Upcoming PS5 'Cozy Life Sim' Certainly Rings A Bell

orbots

@Anachronism If you want a good animal crossing copy then play magicians quest mysterious times, is a ripoff but a good one that even vastly surpasses the animal crossing of that era (wild world)

And very SURPRISINGLY released on a nintendo console (ds)

This game is even more identical to animal crossing has everything that animal crossing has Clothes shop fishes hair salon, clothes shop, flower shop, furnitures, creatures that repeat catch phrases ,a post office , town tune , floors,

But somehow it has more quality of life changes and that were introduced even before the animal crossing of that era had them (pro patterns, unnatural hair colors like green blue and purple)
Heck even some of those aren't still on the newer games like being able to storage up to 100 of every single individual item, or being able to customize pants, or making a villager follow you (when you chose to)

Has an actual plot ,magic classes where you can learn spells, vehicles for transportation, more species aren't just animals, like flower folk , demons, zombies, cake folk, (they are randomized like on animal crossing), more personalities (making each villager feel more unique) you are actually able to play music, and weirdly also romance one of your villages using the love potion

Also one thing that i like about this game is that you can transform your wand with spells into

The fishing rod ,the bug net, the watering can and the shovel Which means you have more space and you don't have to carry those around

Also it had noseless player characters

Can't really believe how good and underrated it is and also can't believe that nintendo didn't sue konami and even allowed them to publish that on DS

However i don't think this Playstation game will be as good as any animal crossing game

Re: Review: Disney Universe (Wii)

orbots

the game is only fun if is played with 2, 3 or more players in single player gets boring , the game itself is not bad just not outstanding, i remember that some parts were hard playing solo, also the costumes of humanoid characters like jasmine, alice , aladdin and jack sparrow look good, but the rest costumes look horribly weird ,like simba , mickey , mike ,nemo, wall-e , looks like someone killed the character and wore their peeled skin as a hunting trophy prize i would have preferred if they had used big headed chibi versions of the actual character like the funko pops, or like the towsfolk of dinsney infinity that looked like cute bobblehead toys , they also had

https://i.ytimg.com/vi/xYkUpIC3Gc0/hq720.jpg?sqp=-oaymwEhCK4FEIIDSFryq4qpAxMIARUAAAAAGAElAADIQj0AgKJD&rs=AOn4CLBYYFGJPypOLKmnDIY9_G1gzSukLg

this is an image of how wall-e and EVE look on disney infinity for reference, keeps the uniformity in size and style

Re: Review: Scooby-Doo! and the Spooky Swamp (Wii)

@CanisWolfred the 3d character designs of this game despite being an extremely old game somehow are kinda similar to the ones of the young mystery gang from the 2020 scoob! movie except that shaggy's nose looks different

Re: Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Scores Free Single-Player Demo This Month

orbots

@Inaroomalone that's more of a skill issue

I was glad that the kart handling was kinda similar to mario kart 8. for the curves you use the drift flicking trick

You start to drift then flick this left and right as you do

The plane handling was what caused me more troubles as is hard to know at what moment to use the boost

The boat handling is not that easy you charge a lvl 1 jump do a stunt and gain small boost the curves are the complicated part took me a while to figure
You must keepn holding the boost button since it slows you down as you move through the curve then release after you have crossed it the timing must be precise or else you will bump against the wall

Re: Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Scores Free Single-Player Demo This Month

orbots

Sadly while i downloaded the game during the time of the online beta
I was NEVER able to connect online to a single match, this is something they MUST fix i always got ERROR CONNECTION TIMED OUT
BUT i really enjoyed playing the grand prix and time trial modes even if they always were the same 3 tracks
And i still am ,since i wasn't online when the beta ended and never closed the game and never turned off the switch i was able to keep playing the game offline

But i have been fearing that if i close the game it i would lose everything FOREVER

So i had myself locked out and completely unable to change to other games

However do we know if the demo will include all the offline modes that the beta did? Donpa grand prix, time trial
All the vehicle customization options? The same parts, the ability to place stickers and change colors,
The gadgets and all gadget slots?
The rival levels (that oddly never increased more than 8 in the beta)
And all the 13 characters INCLUDING joker

I fear that the demo might not include joker and arsene wing since he is a collab character

I think they should have just added the ability to keep playing the sonic beta offline and the ability to get in and out at any moment without connection instead of releasing it separately as a demo

Like the inazuma eleven victory road beta that i still have in my switch despite it can't connect online anymore, oddly i was actually able to play online during that beta period while i never could with crossworlds , maybe cause it was a 1vs1 game instead of a 12 vs 12 high speed game
I didn't delete that game cause i didn't want to lose my max lvl best bois.... and goldie (not a boi)

Re: Review: Drag x Drive (Switch 2) - A Real Baller With Friends, But Is There Enough To Do?

orbots

@Ulysses
I think the main problem here is the aesthetical aspect

Most nintendo games had had colorful environments and characters especially new ips
Like splatoon, arms, wii sports , nintendo switch sports
It would have been better if they used the switch sports aesthetic for the characters
Giving them wide face and hair customization , the futuristic aesthetic and the wheelchair basketball are good concepts but kinda wasted

The colorful vibe and fun gameplay concepts are what differenced nintendo games from the more dark, edgy and gloomy multiplayer titles from other Plataforms

Also it would have really benefited from a story mode, that is not the main selling point of these games but splatoon had it and provided more depth , also would give something to do for those without switch online cause if you don't have switch online buying this game is pointless

If the game is good but aesthetically boring people won't be interested

At least they are not selling this for 80 dollars and is just 20 which justifies the review based on quality price
But i still think should be a 6
We are talking about a nintendo game
Not just a indie game or third party or a shovelware , the bar is high and the expectations of this game were high too

Re: Review: Tales Of The Shire: A The Lord Of The Rings Game (Switch) - The Hobbit, Or "There It Crashed Again"

orbots

I don't mind playing a game that has old and crappy graphics as long as it is good and fun (otherwise i wouldn't keep playing retro games)

But really hate games that are NOT fun and with bugs that cause frequent crashes bugs thaf hinder gameplay and bugs that cause cursed rendering

Can't believe that there were a lot of people saying "this will be the animal crossing killer"

Re: Back Page: Mario Kart World's Roster Is Full Of Deep Cuts, So Where Are These Guys?

orbots

@BlueBCA rubbish? the mario kart world roster is amazing

is a good and varied roster
would you prefer a full babyfied roster , baby waluigi baby wario baby dk
or a roster full of pallete swaps (metal mario gold mario , pink gold peach)

the only thing missing that would make this roster more perfect are the kongs and guest characters from mario kart 8 (link isabelle inklings unless they are saving those for super smash kart)

Re: Back Page: Mario Kart World's Roster Is Full Of Deep Cuts, So Where Are These Guys?

orbots

they have brought pauline and k rool and obscure forgotten enemies from old games like cataquack
and obscure enemies from recent games like stingby to the spotlight

so why not wart (however i would prefer k rool in a mario kart) or tatanga
but i would prefer the buff tatanga with black spacesuit from the nintendo comics
the short tiny tatanga makes daisy look more fragile, wimpy, and weaker than pauline or peach
cause while one was kidnapped by a big ape
and the other kidnapped by a giant turtle dragon koopa being kidnaped by an unimposing cute naked funny purple baby-like alien is ridiculous

or lorewise maybe that's what caused daisy to become a tomboy could be good for an interesting backstory of character development , training to become strong and though to overcome the great disgrace that caused that hidden feeling of shame , doing everything to make sure something like that never happens again

would be good make daisy a more complex character (like how pauline was turned into a more deep character in bananza)

Re: Feature: 27 GameCube Games We'd Love To See On Nintendo Switch 2 NSO

orbots

@BlaizeV mario power tennis was amazing but i only played the new play control wii remaster (same as with donkey konga, pikmin, and metroid prime) it was really fun with motion controls cause you can aim to where to swing the ball, and used the remote as a racket similar like on wii sports (however on long rounds your arm gets tired) i don't think the gamecube game can compare to the wii version

i still can't believe that mario golf didn't got a new play control wii remaster it was OBVIOUSLY a perfect fit for the wii remote motion controls and many people would have bought it since sports motion games got popular with wii remote

Re: Review: Rampage: Total Destruction (Wii)

orbots

i only knew about rampage by the movie with the rock and the albino gorilla, i had this game but i lost it

is good if you want a kaiju simulator in which you kill and destroy things
i recommend to play it multiplayer cause is more fun than on single player

the price of second hand seems to be between
9 - 14$ so it won't be that expensive

Re: Cruis'n

Re: PSA: GoldenEye 007 Rip-Off Removed From The PSN Store Resurfaces On Switch eShop

orbots

If the original goldeye 007 is already on switch eshop through the n64 online subscription then why buy this *****

In the wii era they were many shovelware titles but some of these were enjoyable and had creative uses of motion controls
Also they prices were cheap which was proportional to their quality

But in switch all shovelware is overpriced trash and also what is worse is that they SELL thousands of dlc add-ons like ,character packs, booster items, and different re releases of the same identical game and with double the price

You know the eshop is F#####D up when above zelda echoes , stardew valley and donkey kong country is another dating sim visual novel

Also time ago When searching something to spend my gold points before they expired
I found that there's a came called RÔ that is clearly a ***** maR i O ripoff
Plataformer starting a short man with mustache in overalls with turtle enemies
You can find it easily is the lowest priced game in the whole eshop, why they haven't done a lawsuit against that and is in their own eshop
Nintendumbs don't know the enemy is already within

Re: Best Star Wars Video Games, Ranked - Switch And Nintendo Systems

orbots

@batmanbud2 my favorite of the lego games was the clone wars mainly cause is one of the only few star wars game that actually focus on the WARS part
besides the usual puzzle fun levels and the vehicle testing hangars, it features a very complex real time strategy mode in which you must manage your resources in order to purchase troop fabrics (clones for the republic side , droids for the separatist side) and also vehicle fabrics , turrets and other defensive buildings
While you simultaneously focus on gathering coins to build the fabrics and killing the incoming enemy troops + vehicles and destroying the fabrics that spawn them
Unlike most real time strategy games you don't just oversee the battle you also Partake in it,

you could ride the vehicles produced and lead the land troop squads and use them to move faster and to destroy enemy bases easier, if your vehicle is destroyed you must try to quickly find another nearby deployed ally one

also WHAT outlaws is closing? i didn't download it cause i was scared to end up in another F2P game that could be a whale-ish pay to win game
but now that is closing i really should play it before is gone forever and i regret doing it

Re: Review: Survival Kids (Switch 2) - Konami's NS2 Debut Is Cosy, Competent, Kid-Friendly Co-op

orbots

I loved moving out on the nintendo switch
and this seems like one of those fun multiplayer cooperative games but looks looks more cozy and relaxed

However i wouldn't buy a switch 2 just for this, so is a shame that it isn't on switch 1
And i wonder why it isn't , cause doesn't look very graphically demanding
So i might try to get the ds survival kids (lost in blue) instead

Also i don't think i would recommend something like this for FIFTY dollars
I don't have a switch 2 but there are better looking games for the same price of this

Re: Every Nintendo Switch Online Game Boy (Color) Game Ranked

orbots

@Perpetual_Change contrary to you im exactly the opposite
i prefer gameboy color games than gb games

cause i really dislike the monochrome black and white of gb games, i know is cause at those years they were many technical limitations regarding pocket consoles and they had those LCD sreens but i wish most of these had gotten new color DX versions when gameboy color came out like link's awakening
and the lack of color has turned me down from playing most gb games

maybe is cause i grew around the late Gameboy advance and early ds era when all the games had really vibrant and detailed sprite colors and is just a case of generational gap

Re: Poll: Pokémon Scarlet & Violet's Free Epilogue Lands On Switch Today, Will You Be Playing It?

orbots

@Rayquaza2510 technically the base game feels kinda empty and short without the DLC cause there's 0 post game in the base game
(And also I love the DLC synchro machine that lets you turn into your own Pokemon)

But you have a point
Old pokemon games included everything in the base game and without any additional purchases
Adding DLC is something that almost every videogame does nowadays but pokemon didn't do it before not even in the 3ds era in Wich most Nintendo games had DLC like smash bros

Re: Pokémon HOME Version 2.1.0 Now Live On Mobile, Here Are The Patch Notes

orbots

@TanukiTrooper @Sisilly_G @Yosher
This app is free and is a lifesaver for me since I don't want to pay for switch online services, however i use it ONLY for trades and transfer Pokemon between my switch instead of using it for storage
The Pokemon home free plan gives you a single storage box with 30 slots , the ability to transfer Pokemon between your switch games and you have trade functionality in the phone app through the GTS and through friend trade (however you are limited to 10 trades per day)

You don't actually need to pay for Pokemon home
(Except that the function to transfer Pokemon from 3ds games to switch is locked to the paid version of home)
The paid plans are indeed extremely overpriced but you don't actually need them

Re: No Gravity Games Is Handing Out 12 Free Switch Games This Month (North America)

I'm currently partaking in this free giveaway , when i see a free opportunity i take it
1 After buying Pokémon violet and some 3ds games i don't have money for anything else
2 i don't really have anything to do this month
3 i put an alarm on my phone to remind me in case I forget
4 free games are always appreciated
5 if i don't like the games i will just use the "archive software" function

Re: Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: How To Beat The Elite Four And Champion

orbots

In the first question I chose in my pokemount and i didn't fail

Also I chose keep improving in the fourth one

The hardest gym for me was the water type gym of kofu, the rest were fairly easy crabominable took out almost all of my Pokemon, i defeated it with jumpluff and i only bought her to the gym just in case cause she was my pokemon for capturing not battling
