Compared to Club Nintendo, My Nintendo is a bit average. But it's better than the nothing Sony and Microsoft offer (cheers Inafune!).

GameStop's confirmed that the NX won't be download only, but they don't know what medium it's using.

In more interesting news (as they've actually released games on Nintendo consoles, including Wii U): Take-Two have said they're interested in the NX.

The NX Mario launch title will probably be the new 2D Mario franchise they were hinting at last year.

It was pretty good, but that wasn't really hard when everyone else delivered a poor performance (looking at you, Bethesda). Probably could have done with showing off those eShop games in the stream rather than on Geoff Keighley's show. But, still pretty decent.

Next year's may not be that good unless Nintendo only show off launch titles when they reveal the NX and then drip feed the rest of the games through E3 and Directs.

@invictus4000 To be honest, Pokemon should have been after Zelda. If they'd shown Pokemon before the Zelda trailer, people would've still been clamouring for BotW. At least showing it afterwards would've allowed for Pokemon Sun/Moon to get the attention they deserve.

It might have actually pushed me to pre-order the NX when it's announced later this year (hoping there's a Zelda bundle, but I don't remember that with the Wii).

Really liked that last Shrine outside of the Plateau (and Chiko - can she just play all of the games from now on?!), the art style is gorgeous in motion and the subtlety of the soundtrack is a huge difference from most games (even Nintendo's).

I'm really interested to see how the temperature affects game play.

All Nintendo has to do is show more than a hour of Zelda footage to 'win' E3. It's just been massively disappointing this week, to the point where I can count all of the interesting games so far on one hand.

Actually, if Pikmin 4 is one of the unannounced games shown tomorrow, then they'll 'win' E3 for me.

The only good thing in that entire conference was Skyrim: Special Edition, and that's just a remaster of a really old game. This E3 is just getting worse and worse.

My Nintendo's been pretty good in Europe at least: free games and discounts aplenty.

Given how long it's been since Splatoon's free content updates finished (not including Sheldon's picks), I wouldn't be surprised if the team started work on a couple of DLC packs, maybe one for the summer and one for Christmas.

This year's E3 can be summed up in one sentence : "See games you saw last year all over again." Who wants to bet on Sony showing a trailer for The Last Guardian with a release date of 2017? Or Microsoft showing another cinematic trailer for ReCore?

No chance of a demo on the eShop - releasing a demo for this would completely overshadow the demos for Nindies that will no doubt be released.

I'm confused - that second photo is all new, sealed games. Also, my local CeX has lots of Uncharted 4 and Quantum Break copies but that doesn't necessarily mean they're bad games. It just seems to be the case that people trade in games nowadays once they've completed them, regardless of the quality, because it means they can get new games, especially as the price of games keeps increasing with each generation.

@rjejr The Vita was new tech, and that tech was better than the 3DS, but the games available at launch paled in comparison to what the 3DS, at a cheaper price, was offering. The Wii U, in spite of its good library now, had a weak launch line-up for what is effectively an underpowered console, (depending on where you live) cost too much for just the basic bundle with no games, and was suffering from third-party developers like EA both abandoning it and launching puerile attacks online.

For the UK (and most of Europe), Gamescom would be the big one, which is mainly the reason why it's the biggest convention in terms of attendance figures.

@rjejr New technology, if it's good enough, will sell whenever. As long as the games are there at launch, the NX will sell well in March.

Showing NX at E3 would be okay, but it's much better for Nintendo to announce it either at a bigger event (like the Tokyo Game Show) or a dedicated event where they will be the centre of attention.

@Danrenfroe2016 Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection went offline in 2014, two years after the launch of the Wii U and Nintendo Network. It wasn't like it went offline the very day the Wii U was released.

Also, considering they only showed a fraction of the map back in 2014 (and even that was quite a lot), there's clearly going to be a lot happening in the demo so it's not like it'll be hours of Link riding Epona.

It makes more sense to announce new games at gamescom, where there's a much bigger audience.

I think it's worth having a score, just as long as readers remember that it might be skewed based on the reviewer's opinion of the game - a game they love might have a higher score than expected, a game they hate might have a lower score. If you really want, you could also ignore the score and focus on the crux of the review to make your own decision.

@MitchVogel I don't get why they don't release the campaign and then release an update when multiplayer is eventually ready. At least that way backers will finally get to play the game.

Emphasis on 'focus', not 'dedicated'. Yes, as their biggest game in the next 12 months, Zelda UX will be at the centre of their presentation. But that doesn't mean there will not be other games on show, not just from them but any potential third-parties who would probably be able to announce games for the NX without showing off the console. We also know there will be other games in the presentation because of Paper Mario: Colour Splash.

Then, there's also this year's World Championships (which will no doubt happen given last year's reception).

@XCWarrior Wait, what? We saw a good few minutes of footage at The Game Awards in 2014. The game then clearly had its art style nailed, it was just lacking in content.

It makes sense - you can't provide playable demos of NX games without showing off the console, but you can show the games as part of your presentation and keep the console under wraps.

@Dankykong The thing that makes me doubt we are getting the NX this year now is Paper Mario: Colour Splash, which would probably be released around the same time as the NX - how often do companies release first-party games on old consoles rather than promote the one that's just been released?

Of course, we could still get it this year and that would be fine, but I'd be happy with the Wii U for another 12 months with Zelda U and Pikmin 4.

The funniest thing about this: what if Nintendo doesn't reveal the NX at E3 (given they never said they were)? Imagine an entire year of NX rumours...!

The main problem is that the world is too realistic, which doesn't really feel right when you've got a kid who's dressed like an elf.

I'm still really interested to find out what they've been working on for the last two years, especially after their E3 tease last year that led to nothing.

The gameplay's alright. I'd rather buy a game where you control the out-of-tune trumpet though.

Also, if EA is going to release any games on the NX, maybe start with a remastered Mass Effect Trilogy to make up for only releasing Mass Effect 3 on the Wii U.

@shonenjump86 Yeah, EA isn't the company Nintendo need here; get exclusivity for Grand Theft Auto VI and you'd definitely be selling some consoles. Hell, maybe get Rockstar to throw in Red Dead Redemption 2 as well.
