@Harmonie yeah, we dont need a new zelda game this year. I would be fine with or without a port, or any zelda concept. And yes, the constant asking for ports by people can get a little redundant, its what they want (and I want as well, who wouldnt want a nice WW/TP port). But history has shown that we get one every year, so i see no harm in letting people get excited. Of course its a whole other conversation if people dont get what they want and then are genuinely mad about it, then thats just stupid

@ALinkttPresent abandoned?! What, is botw2 just a nice suprise as well? We got SSHD, LOZ:LA, Hyrule warriors, Hyrule warriors: Age of Calamity, Cadence of Hyrule. Oh, and also just the biggest zeldas of ALL TIME, Breath of the Wild! If anything, we've got more zelda on our hands than we know what to do with. Be patient, and all of our zelda-y dreams will come true

@Harmonie what they mean is that every year, we get at least one mario or zelda game, whether that is mainline or spinoff. Since BOTW2 is no longer coming out this year, its anyone's guess to what the zelda game will be announced. Personally, id like one of the old, 2d games (but a new 2d would be nice as well).

@Royalblues i think nintendo has a lot of different peaks for different people. I grew up with the era you tout as the best, but i think the gamecube/gba might've packed more of a punch gamewise

@Gwynbleidd i mean you need to play it if you wanna know if its worth it. and i really dont see how skins are anti consumer, given that all of them are only a 10 extra dollars. I mean if it bothers you, then ok, but it just seems so miniscule compared to something like pokemon unite or any free-to-play game or dlc that adds actual content and launches the same day. I see where youre coming from, but ya gotta pick and choose your battles. And i really dont think this one is worth all this trouble. of course none of this is saying you HAVE to like the game, just that making this the reason and that youd like the game other wise is a little silly. Let me know if thats the reason

@Gwynbleidd i mean are you sure? did you play the game, and how is the dlc coming out w/ the game anti-consumer? I mean i get the fact that you should get the full experience, but thats just kind of buisness as usual. I really cant think of a reason why it wouldnt be worth the wait unless youre not a fan of the series. The pros easily outweigh the cons imo

@Gwynbleidd oh my goodness gracious, patience. Its finally here, its incredible, ya dont need to poop on it for taking time to make. Of course not saying you HAVE to play it, but if the wait irked you this much, then i feel like you have your priorities mixed. I mean i cant buy it right now because, yknow, life, but id like to. Also want to play kirby but cant rn because life but hey what are ya gonna do. If you want to enjoy a game, thats awesome. But dont bring down the mellow of a cool game coming out!

i think the yellow glowy ball is link getting one of the runes (or what will be replacing runes). His hand is glowing the same color as the ball, which makes me think he's getting a new power. And fi's probably telling him something about the power he just got. or maybe link's hand is the monado from xenoblade chronicles, i mean there is XC2 armor in the original lol

@roboshort im assuming sky with link and underground with zelda and a pretty different overworld to really make breath of the wild's hyrule shine like never before

@eleven as much as i agree, you can't live life without escapism. You should always live life fully informed, but unless you're a super-active social worker, then being informed and just being sad about the things that go on around you does nothing for the people in the world and for you. I mean, you're on this site, you play games! You may not play games for the sole reason of escapism, but when you're playing a game, your mind isn't on the world. I think to work more effectively as humans we need periods of time where we can just rest our brains, kind of like how we need sleep to rest our body. And to be clear, i'm not saying to be ignorant. Be educated, be smart, be aware. Heck, do service! I work at Second Harvest food bank when I have free time; it's not a lot, but it's something. Also, why can't we accept that there can be multiple golden ages? It just means we have more quality games to play! Anyways, I hope this didn't sound angry or preachy, I just wanted to give my 2 cents on the whole topic. Have a nice day!
