I have very fond memories of playing the Gamecube version of this cube. Truly a tragedy that it's not coming to the Wii U

This is insane...NOW is the time for Nintendo to release more VC games on the 3DS while everyone is waiting for Fall to come around for all of the big releases. My gut feeling is they really want their fans to buy Mario Kart 8 and a Wii U at this time--cutting off new releases on the 3DS puts more focus on the Wii U. They must not realize it makes buyers like me start to look at the PS4 and the Xbox One more positively.

I saw them last weekend at the San Diego Comic Con...I was very impressed by their sizes. I expected them to be smaller like the toys you get from bubble toy machines. I hope the final versions are close to the prototypes that they had on display.

I'll be at the Con. It's not going to happen, but if Sega announces Phantasy Star Online 2 for the Wii U, I will literally go and get a Wii U. that evening. That's the only Sega property I care about now.

I hate Sega...they shovel Sonic on us but they hold back releases like this or Phantasy Star Online 2. They're just a lifeless cash machine now.

I'm 45 and got an NES my first year of college during my freshman year living in the dorms. Fave memory: on the day I got the first Zelda, there was a huge party on our dorm floor (kegs, pot, etc.). I played Zelda until 6am and everyone had literally passed out around me (wasted or just tired). Eventually I earned the nickname "Meltendo" since the younger brothers and sisters of my college buddies would literally call me for video gaming tips (there was no internet like today in 1987)

I have fond memories of playing the first Resident Evil reboot on the Gamecube. It would be sweet to see Nintendo update Resident Evil 4 for the Wii U.

The true prize here is Monster Hunter.

Awesome....I love collecting good figures. At least these will have a purpose outside of just looking good on a shelf. On another note, they could have really hyped this up by giving out a special E3-only amiibo this year.

I like watching streaming video gameplay...why? When I'm deep into a game, I can't pause and enjoy the graphics since I will be focused on the game. When I watch someone else play, I can look at whatever part of the screen I like and see things I would have missed while playing.

I'm betting it's part of their own take on the whole Skylanders/Disney Infinity platform. Create little levels that your NFC figures can play in...or unlock items for level creation via the NFC figures.

I would die if it's Metroid! The timing is perfect...the Metroid games seem to emerge when a platform is mature and the 3DS is surely at that point. Please Nintendo, I would die if it was Metroid and even better if it's back to the Metroid Prime vibe!

As long as they don't change the in-game Kirby at all, I'm fine with the box art. Imagine the horror if they redid all the cute elements in the game for the Western release...!

I would buy a Wii U in a heartbeat if they put Animal Crossing on it....

I can't for this game but the DLC better be stuff we actually download and add to the game. I cannot stand the DLC being a 10K key that simply unlocks content already in the game. I hope it also means that maybe after a year or so, they will offer new items to download and add to the game. On another note, one thing that makes me sad with added content: how will it be 10+ years down the line when we want to pick up and play this game and all of the DLC content is offline?

Do this Nintendo and please get over trying to create your own multiplayer Halo-Gears of War-Call of Duty franchise. Like what someone mentioned above, I love Samus when she's alone in the universe and fending for herself.

Great game but the whole haggling thing feels weird...I wish we could "haggle" Nintendo to lower the price of their releases... $39 is too much for the 3DS early released Zelda:Ocarina of Time. By this point, it should be $19.99 like Capcom's 3DS Resident Evil.

They should strive to do HD versions of all of their games so down the line they can continue to offer it as a VC game w
hen the Wii3, Wii4, etc. get released.

If Nintendo believes they can sell more Wii Us by withholding it from the 3DS--I think it's a bad strategy. I would much prefer to play it on the go than to be locked down at home with the Wii U. I think they're strategy is to just piss us off.

Odd that I'm super excited for this game to come out! Haven't played it in years. I wish Nintendo bothered to give as much love to their VC releases as Sega (and M2) does.

Yawn. I give up. I'll stick to the big releases and wait for some surprise at E3. I still love you Nintendo! Barely.

Getting this game but this is a perfect example of my belief of why Nintendo refuses to release any SNES games on the 3DS--they're retooling them as new games to resell to us. Look at the brilliant Zelda game they made from a Link to the Past. Hopefully they're thinking about redoing Super Metroid for us because I need to play that game again--preferably on my 3DS.

The sunny weather on Nintendo boxes look just right--perfect weather where the sun is not too burning hot. Love it! (Typing this as I prepare to run in the burning sunlight in San Diego, California)

Atlus demos always get me since you usually get to transferred over your saves. I also applaud them for putting their games on sale (in the eshop) for those of us that missed the original release window.

I would want any HD rereleases to be done in batches...not as a big event like Wind Waker. Give us an HD game every 3 months instead of only 1 a year. I would hate Nintendo to get lazy and believe they can simply release an HD game for the Holiday quarter instead of giving us something new.

It's too late for this one, but the next Golf game should be Nintendo themed like Smash Bros.: have character like Metroid's Samus as unlockable characters...make courses themed from Nintendo games: Animal Crossing course, Zelda Hyrule course, etc.

Hmmm....they really want us to buy a Wii U. by really pushing the VC games on that platform instead of the 3DS. I'm so confused.

Dear Nintendo, withholding VC games from the 3DS won't make us buy a Wii U.--if that's one of your strategies. If you're holding back games to piss us off--WINNING!

I seriously think Nintendo is holding back SNES VC titles from the 3DS so they can resell them at a higher price point as new games--see how we got the amazing new 3DS Zelda instead of the VC version of A Link to the Past?

Nice but they need to leverage their other characters more--show us Yoshi, etc. It doesn't scream "Pick me up and buy me right now!"

I wish they would have the courage to price the digital download
prices for games cheaper here in the US like what they do in Japan....

Hey Sega....bring over PSO2 to the Wii U! The game is already done.

I'm starting to think Nintendo DOESN'T want to release their big titles on the VC so they can re-release them as full-priced games in the future. Why release Star Fox 64 on the VC when they can sell it as a $39 3DS cart. I love how we got Urban Champions on the 3DS...yet none of the SNES or bigger NES games in 3D. The listed DS games are great but I think Nintendo has less popular titles in mind for the DS release. ...and then in the other corner, we have Sony liberally putting games from the past year for free to PSN members.

Mario Bros>???? But the NES version? It would be cool if Nintendo released the arcade versions. I would buy Mario Bros., Donkey Kong, and Donkey Kong Junior in a heartbeat if they offered the original arcade versions. On another note--I've given up on SMB3. I think they're saving it up to coincide with the next big Mario sidescroller release (some time in 2015)

Hey Nintendo, do you guys only come out of your shell during the busy Holiday season?

All I want are great, adventurous games and Nintendo hasn't delivered...yet. Give us the more open-world joy of Mario 64 or Metroid Prime. I feel like every release lately has Nintendo holding our hands (linear gameplay, too many hints about what to do next). C'mon Nintendo--deliver the games some of us want. I will die if the next big game announced is another 2D Mario.

Nintendo, why can't you have BOTH play modes? I think Nintendo is still very afraid to go online with anything that lets kids play with complete strangers. They'll never get out of the "kiddie" console label any time soon.

Nintendo is playing us with SMB3...they'll release it when sales of their holiday titles start to go down...yawn Nintendo. ...and get your e-shop back up, I'm about to spend my extra money elsewhere.

System outages are never good. I'm super annoyed I can't get into the e-shop. ..not cool especially if the competition has networks that can handle this stuff better.

Got Streets of Rage and again I'm impressed with what Sega is doing. Nintendo on the other hand...I'm starting to think they believe in pushing only their big releases like Smash Brothers and leaving us high and dry in between those major event games. Boo. We'll be forced to play on other machines.

I hope they don't allow us to buy games that will allow us to get the version for the 3DS and the Wii U. I love my 3DS and this means I'll have to go out and buy a Wii U. ASAP. Wait, maybe Nintendo is finally thinking clearly? Do it Nintendo and I'll run to the store to finally get a Wii U....!

Phantasy Star 2 in 3D por favor! (or the first one from the Master System if possible)

Ok...Nintendo...what is up with no SNES games on the 3DS? Sega is giving us Genesis games like Sonic--where are the Nintendo SNES games? I was hoping Goemon was coming to the 3DS. I can't even think of any SNES games that have been ported to the 3DS...

I felt burned by the original. Wii even though I thoroughly enjoyed nearly all of Nintendo's First Party releases.....What bummed me out the most? The long crazy waits between the big releases. For months I never turned on my Wii. I remember having to run out and buy new batteries to play Skyward sword. I can't get myself to get a Wii U because it looks to be happening again. I love my 3DS though--there's plenty of third party games I can't wait to play after I'm done playing the new Zelda and Pokemon.

Aargh! Nintendo had a one year lead! Imagine if they gave us a NEW Zelda this holiday season (not just the well reviewed 3DS Zelda game. Oh well--many of us still love and stand by you.

Boo. Oh well...it's not like Nintendo wants to solidify gamers socially around their machines.

Anything but linear/hand-holding 2D/pseudo 3D games please! Please make something open-ended in parts like Mario 64 or Sunshine. We gamers can handle ourselves given choices.
