Yep. I'll get this. But what I really really want is a slot machine style casino game for the Wii U, or perhaps just a Casino game with various modes and games to play.

Hard pill to swallow. As much as I would love to support Indie developers, if the game isn't up to scratch, most people won't budge, unless they have some extra e-shop credit laying round. Thanks for the honest review.

Please... release... Tetrisphere !!! I have been dying to play that again since the late 90's. It's a well forgotten little gem.. you can't even see a page for it here on NL. But it rules! Oh, and Banjo-Kazooie!

Looks fun.. but if the price is too high, I just might say no. Seems like the novelty would wear off really easily, don't you think?

P.S. The 3DS.. I also own one, but all the games 'coming out' for it seem like the usual Japanese cutesy-kiddy-type games (including Pokemon, I know, the haters will hate me) but I just can't stand that stuff. Vintage arcade, Zelda, Mario and innovative apps is what I love

Art Academy: Wii U... all the way! Sketchpad is amazing! I'm guessing AA:WU will also include the ability to share your creations across the Wii U-Verse. That is half the value right there, imho

Ok, after saying on the 3DS review of this game that there was nothing in this version (I own the iPad version) to draw me in, I purchased the Wii U version earlier today and I'm hooked all over again. Great graphics and sound. Wonderful value. I now highly recommend the Wii U version P.S. I still play Cake Ninja 2 on my 3DS (Cypronia) and I love it, I don't care what the reviewers say. lol

Perfect review! I purchased this game for my GameBoy Advance way back when it first came out.. I remember shelling out like $30-40 for it! lol And back then, it got a 10 in my book! (This was/is on sale at the moment in the shop, for around $5, totally worth it!) But, as times progress and technology advances, I understand your 7/10 review. I totally agree with it, and I give this a huge thumbs up for value! (One complaint: On the Wii U screen (flat screen TV) some of the text and graphics come across as extra blocky or splotchy. Only to be expected. But, otherwise, perfect vintage release!

@IrateGamer @Rosebud is right. For those of us on a budget, we can justify skipping a pay release when a free one is readily available. The only difference between the Wii U and 3DS version is the hardware it runs on. In the case of Nintendo.. Wii U better graphics, 3DS more portability.

I actually think this is THE best Zelda (portable) game to date. With "Spirit Tracks" right on it's tail, and the new Zelda 3DS game. This is a wonderful journey! I remember buying this as a kid with money I'd saved up from my first job, played this on my GameBoy Micro until my fingers bled lol 10 out of 10 for me!

Looks pretty bland to me. Would rather spend the $2 on ice cream and chill.

Actually, it's a very old and wonderful MARKETING PLOY. Do you guys ever wonder why sometimes you see "Laundrymat" signs upside down? It was an old gimmick in the 60's-70's, etc, to get people to come in. It sticks in their mind, etc. Either that, or the employee was stoned out of their mind. lol Or both.

Back in the day when this came out (I was verrrry young) I beat this game in about 3 weeks with my older cousin. Great memories, and a fantastic game that demands a sequel!

I'm sad. I'm a huge pac-fan. I love the new Pac-Man game released last year or the year before on 3DS. Was looking forward to this! ;/

This is obviously aimed at younger kids, so all you 30 year old reviewers, please keep this in mind. lol

I think the review for this game is quite harsh. The music, the gameplay, the fake hints, the loose bricks, it's all part of a very awesome game, imho. I would give this a 8/10, with one of those points for the music alone

Life Force is a terribly underrated game! You guys with a 3DS who like Virtual Console games (and shooters) should def check it out. I remember having so much fun with this game when it was released.

I just knew this title wouldn't get anything above a 5 or 6. And yet, Nintendo advertised it heavily in the e-shop and other places, plus, it was the only download available the week after Christmas for 3DS systems, pretty much. Hopefully we will see SMB3 soon and other gems that other countries have already seen.

...and Darts Up 3D is like 99 cents, the perfect price for a cheap on the go type of game.

Simons Quest IS a great game. I'll totally be snagging it tonight. This is the game that saves this week for me, imho.

The soundtrack to this game has stuck in my head for the better part of 20 years or so. Great game from what I remember, too. Will have to download it onto my 3DS.

Pokemon. Sheesh. If I even liked Pokemon, I might understand, but I have always hated that little yellow creature. Gives me nightmares. lol I'm glad Nintendo addressed the issues publicly and let's hope that they are upgrading their servers as we speak.

Got it. Love it. You are so right. The pace is kind of slow, but the scenery equals great value for the money. Until we get Asphalt: Elite Racing on 3DS e-shop, this will do.

@Webby-sama Who wouldn't? lol I was an early adopter for the 3DS and as an ambassador, I gleefully downloaded all 20 of the free games they offered. Of course, that was a special case, I paid much more for my 3DS.

@PinkSpider It's her choice. I actually tried to talk her out of it, saying it's the holidays and it will pass in a day or two. A lot of these parents don't have someone they can turn to for this kind of advice, and I hate to think of the ones who will return systems without asking questions.

I don't think Nintendo should offer up free goodies to apologize, but maybe a declaration that they will improve servers. That would do it for me.

@PinkSpider I work for Starbucks, and that's exactly what we do to our customers, and we haven't lost customers for giving them a free drink for their inconvenience. EVER. lol

@PinkSpider One of these friends of mine tried calling Nintendo and all lines were busy, so she told me she's returning her son's 3DS XL back to Toys R Us tomorrow morning.

Downloading "EDGE" from the e-shop as we speak I finally got through. If I can reach her tomorrow, I will let her know to try the e-shop once more before returning it.
