Re: Review: Retro Pocket (DSiWare)

@ShawnWilson I'm glad I have some support here. lol I guess it's all subjective. Some people will like it and some won't, as with any other game. There are other reviews for this game on the Internet already that give it higher scores. Don't get me wrong, though, I admire Philip's reviews and sometimes agree, too

@Happy_Mask I have. I have all of the dsiware game and watch releases, plus a couple of originals in their cases. Yeah, these games are wonderful in their own right. Superbly created and masterfully done.

Oh WOW. I totally disagree with your review! This original selection of games created by UFO are way better than most Game & Watch games, and in my opinion, the great vintage music, combined with the 8 games (both with A & B modes) provides a great experience for old school video gamers. I give this game an 8/10! I urge you guys to go check it out for yourselves, look at other reviews on other sites before you make a rush judgment based on this one opinion above about this game. I think it's wonderful!

OMG! Retro Pocket is AMAZING!! Just played all the games a bit, Candy Factory is my favorite. It's addictive, fast-paced (as you go on) and the music totally kills me in a good way, reminds me of the late 90's gameboy and SNES/NES games. I give this a 8/10 so far. Get this now!!

Re: Review: Rising Board 3D (3DS eShop)

Sounds like it was kinda rushed into development. Which is sad because Odenis Studio doesn't have a whole lot more on its plate other than a whole lot of time to develop a game, does it? However, the price is right and I've also heard some good reviews from members on here in the forums so I may get it. Ok. Scratch that. I just did

Re: Review: Bookstore Dream (DSiWare)

I picked this one up as soon as it was released, but haven't played it very much. I got about 5 minutes into it and had NO idea what I was doing! A thorough instruction manual or tutorial would have been nice. 5/10 for me.

Re: Talking Point: Five Reasons to Buy a Wii U

grumblegrumble

I don't need a Wii U. Hell, i didn't even get a Wii! I play with my friends at their house (those who have one) but I play solely on my 3DS and my GBA system, as well as my old Atari 7800 and my original NES. You guessed it. I'm a retro gamer at heart, most of this new HD crap doesn't suit me. But I do love my 3DS games. Portability is a major factor for me.

Re: Review: Akari by Nikoli (3DS eShop)

@Marioman64 Thanks for clearing that up. Still, I think I'm puzzled out. I have more Sudoku games on my 3DS than I can count on one hand, and too many other fun puzzle games to play to worry about this one. Good review, though

Re: Talking Point: The Rules for Violence in Video Games

grumblegrumble

My idea is this... Instead of complaining about a $4 video game and how that is so terrible, why not use your time wisely and join PETA or go volunteer at your local animal shelter, where real animals need your help today! This is a video game and we can't lose sight of the fact that there are more pressing concerns in the real world. Also, I totally agree that its hypocrisy to gun down humans in a video game and not animals. While I'm a total liberal and a democrat in life, I don't see this game as being harmful to society. People need to take responsibility for their own lives, you can't blame video games for 'making' people violent, no more than you can blame a parent for what their adult children do. So please take your complaints down to your local PETA headquarters and give your help where it's truly needed and where it truly counts.

Re: Nintendo Download: 30th August 2012 (North America)

Ok. It's official. I'm in LOVE with Toki Tori and Speed-X 3D both at the same time. Two wonderful games, both so different. Played them throughout the day today and I love them so far. This has been a great week for the 3DS E-Shop! I'm so happy with this new gameboy color game, I hope Nintendo releases more in the not too distant future...

Re: Review: SpeedX 3D (3DS eShop)

Got it today, played it, love it Whoever says this game sucks is, imho, off their rocker lol For the price, it's a great game... The graphics are intense and nice on my XL, very vivid and fun.. I like the soundtrack. This is a perfect 'time-waster', also a great game to show off the 3DS capabilities. Frame rate is perfectly fine. 8/10 from me, too!

Re: Meet The Man Who Brought Nintendo To America

Wasn't it Howard Phillips who had cartoons in the early days in Nintendo Fun Club News and in the early issues of Nintendo Power? I remember those as a kid, he was featured prominently in Fun Club News (every issue) and in the first year or so of NP. It's sad that magazine is expiring in just a few short months ;/
