So the point (in terms of the suit) isn't that there was a leak, it's that the leak was presented in a way that tried to purport it to be an official Nintendo stream. That's the angle the suit is going for, and that's why it's a violation of a trademark. Trademarks exist because the idea is that seeing the trademarked logo means you know it's legitimate and from that company. Nintendo's suit maintains that Genki tried to make it look like it look like an official Nintendo stream.
Is it really about the leak? Probably, yes. But they're going after the violation of trademark. (And which Genki almost certainly tried to do because they knew they could get more hits that way.)
It's a shame, I own several of Genki's products, I like them a lot, but that bed was on fire when they laid down on it.
@VHSGREMLIN Agreed! The two trilogies feel like no-brainers, and with all of the Ace Attorney games now on Switch, the crossover between the games would be the cherry on top for those of us who missed out the first time around.
@amongtheworms I can only imagine the lack of re-release is from the publisher going bankrupt; chances are the rights were sold off as part of that to pay back debts and who knows where they are now?
I know most are thinking it'll be a Johto Legends but I'm going to buck that line of thinking; Arceus and Diamond/Pearl were in the same areas, and we'll probably see the same again with a quiet/subtle link or two (like there were in those). So I'm saying Blinding White/Jet Black, and Legends Kyurem.
@sdelfin Yeah, I look at the EU/JP cover and I can see the NA team being surprised that Link isn't front-and-center in the layout, which would have fixed a lot of design issues. And yet, I do find myself liking the bright colors and overall look of the EU/JP cover more... but it would've been easy to put Link in the center and still go with this overall idea.
@Lizuka I hear you, but I like that half of the "events" aren't new things, so to speak, which keeps them from being must-haves. So this past weekend was Cinderace (new!) but then the next one is something already in the game, so not quite so pressing, followed by another chance for Cinderace. It looks like a lot but it's (in my opinion) actually a pretty reasonable pace if it's only one new-to-the-game Pokemon a month.
@ZealMajin Yeah, this feels like a hard push to get a new game out in time for the 2022 holidays when everyone should've had another 6-12 months to really, properly finish it. It's frustrating because there are things I'm enjoying about the game but the distractions for the technical issues are mighty. It's probably too much to hope for some updates/fixes pushed out but it sure would be nice if that was concentrated on before the inevitable DLC next year.
@AstroTheGamosian Yeah, I appreciated that in some of the newer games they've tried to actively do something different. Team Yell not actually being villains is a good twist on the basic formula, but deviating from the basic formula is never popular by the more vocal fans. (See also the lack of a traditional 8-gym setup in Sun/Moon, which was similarly unpopular simply because it wasn't the 8-gym setup.)
@RupeeClock Not really that many. Baloo's origin means that the character from Kipling's short stories is in the public domain, but Disney's figured out that while anyone can make their own derivative version of Baloo, what they can indeed still protect is their own specific visual depiction of the character. (Sort of like how other people can create a Winnie the Pooh story but don't draw him with the t-shirt like Disney did.) If anything, Tale Spin was a very savvy move because having him as a pilot is so different than anything from the source material, it really locked in ownership of their own, derivative creation.
I came here hoping someone had figured that out. My second character (created for storage and also for a haunted house) doesn't have it, and in fact if he walks into a recipe-crafting home they won't even give him the recipe! I'm guessing there's some sort of minimum something that needs to be done for it to appear, but what that is I have no idea.
Obviously we won't know until the ACNH Direct what's being offered. But earlier this year they promised a substantial update to ACNH. And like others have said, an entire Direct just to introduce Brewster (or even Brewster and AC Amiibo Card Series 5) seems like overkill. I think it's a reasonable assumption that there will be more added. But who knows, right? Only Nintendo, for now.
@Whitestrider Then by that logic, give everyone more health. As exciting as it is going back through the same room a dozen times to try and not die, only to get hit by something and instantly die and have to start that room over again, it will eventually get old enough that I'll probably quit the game entirely.
Honestly even fixing the health/death issues would go a long way. I told a friend that I died in the Galleon — the first dungeon — more than I probably did in all of Breath of the Wild's hundreds of hours of gameplay. I spent far too much time trying to figure out if I'd accidentally set Baldo to "super-expert mode."
@SepticLemon Agreed, I feel like eventually Celeste will be moving in. After all, she'd need to be on an upper level! (Personally, in terms of not-yet-arrived-SPs, I'm more eager for the arrival of Brewster.)
@marandahir I'm a big fan of cashing in research on the 1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd. If you're on that same cycle, you can get a fifth try on the 29th rather than waiting for the 1st of January to roll around.
@Gowtu_Games Agreed, if you want to buy some Nintendo stock (and especially if you're looking for long-term benefits), now's a great moment to pick up a handful of shares and just sit on them.
Can we please merge/average the ratings of Pokemon X/Y, as well as Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire? Giving two slots to X and Y when they're really the same game is a bit frustrating.

Re: Talking Point: Where Should The Next Pokémon Legends Game Take Place?
Next stop Unova. Pokemon Legends: Meloetta, released soon after Pokemon Darkest Black and Pokemon Brightest White.
Re: Another Limited-Time Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Tera Raid Battle Event Announced, 7-Star Revealed
@RupeeClock I'm guessing eventually these will be in the DLC Pokedex additions. Like you, looking forward to the inevitable announcement.

There is no way, after a global pandemic, that the Pokerus virus is getting added back in.

@UnseatingKDawg Legally they don't have a choice. They cannot force you to buy something to get the free card, here.

Re: Video: Are 'Pokémon Presents' Showcases Becoming Too Predictable?
I can't believe the Pokemon Presents talked about upcoming Pokemon games. UGH. So predictable.
Re: Target Announces Pre-Orders For Extremely Cute Pokémon Advent Calendar
@Jamie64326 There was, but the advent calendar exuded so much affection it evolved in the box into Sylveon.

Re: Commodore 64 Games Are Being Teased For Nintendo Switch
Archon and Lode Runner would both be some pretty sweet spots.
Re: Best Pokémon Games Of All Time
"Pokémon Sun and Moon are some of the best Pokémon games that Game Freak has ever produced."
Rating: 15th place
The moral of the story, of course, is that the ratings here mean absolutely nothing.
