It's almost Christmas, by which we mean that it is almost exactly as far away from Christmas as you can get, which is the perfect time to start thinking about Christmas. At least, that's the case for superstore chain Target, who have just put up pre-orders for a "Pokemon Battle Figure Multipack Deluxe Holiday Calendar 2022" exclusive to the store.
It will cost $69.99, and includes 9 chipboard accessories and 15 figures, some in Christmassy gear, and all with an "exclusive red finish to celebrate the season", whatever that means:
- (1) 2-Inch Holiday Charmander Figure
- (1) 2-Inch Cubchoo Figure
- (1) 2-Inch Snom Figure
- (1) 2-Inch Squirtle Figure
- (1) 2-Inch Sneasel Figure
- (1) 2-Inch Psyduck Figure
- (1) 2-Inch Holiday Bulbasaur Figure
- (1) 2-Inch Sylveon Figure
- (1) 2-Inch Alcremie Figure
- (1) 2-Inch Holiday Meowth Figure
- (1) 2-Inch Mew Figure
- (1) 2-Inch Holiday Rowlet Figure
- (1) 2-Inch Vulpix Figure
- (1) 2-Inch Holiday Pichu Figure
- (1) 2-Inch Holiday Pikachu Figure
- (9) Chipboard Accessory

There doesn't seem to be a release date, but we would guess November/December. Unless Target really likes pre-prepping for Christmas.

No, Eevee? Isn't Eevee like the secondary Pokemon mascot?
Xmas in July is pretty common actually.
@Jamie64326 There was, but the advent calendar exuded so much affection it evolved in the box into Sylveon.
@gregmce Found that funny. Still seems odd without Eever.
And I thought my local Lidl was bad for sticking up ads in the middle of October.....
It looks pretty cute though. I'm only really into advent calendars if they're either really cheap or have an exciting incentive to opening them (I want that Pokemon TCG one so badly) but I could see myself giving this to a relative as a Christmas gift.... if I lived in the US at least.
Looks pretty cute.
Pokemon is great at making stuff I kinda want but can never justify buying.
Eevee should be there seeing as he was voted as one of the cutest Pokèmon.
@Jamie64326 Beat me to it. First thing I thought of when I saw this was Eevee, nope not here. Seems a bit odd to me.
@Anachronism : Sums up my sentiments exactly. I compensate by buying Pokémon-related gifts for my wee cousins though.

In America every year Christmas season gets earlier and earlier. Used to be around Thanksgiving you would start hearing Christmas Music in stores.
I have literally walked into a store and heard Christmas music only a couple years ago on Holloween no less.
They start "Decking the shelves" asap these days.
Horrible design.
Bought a similar Pokemon advent calendar last December. Had to buy another because kids kept fighting over pokemon figures. Now their room is littered with pokemon. 10/10 will buy another (different) one next time.
Pretty cool. I would love to have one of these. No I will never be to old for this.
No Meloetta?...
What a pity...
Oh well, anyway, the figures are very beautiful and cute ^^
IT'S THE MIDDLE OF JULY!
I'm confused is that Applin part of it or not? Also it says they're all 2inch figures but they look wildly different sizes.
@Ogbert I’m guessing the sizes look strange in the photo because it’s likely a composite and not a picture of an arranged setting. Kind of like how movie posters never look quite right. That or 2” refers to a sort of baseline or average for scaling.
I did just recently see some toy advent calendars come through receiving at work but not many, and not these ones. We’re primarily working through literal tons of back to school stuff.
