"when the bosses' shield comes up" seems like it should be singular: boss' shield. btw this just led me to learning that it's not boss's before shield, so thanks for that.
@MitchVogel if i may just try to make the website a tiny bit better, may i just say: the thing that tells me i need to login to comment should tell me instead to log in to comment. as in phrasal verb instead of noun.
obviously that feature would benefit users, but i think it would harm nintendo. if they just made it possible for you to make worlds, with lives and items carrying over, and switches to unlock colored blocks in the whole world, then no one would ever buy a 2d mario game other than mario maker.
orrrrrr, they could make full games purchaseable for like 50 cents each. that could make them money, but it could cause outrage.
i think project guard being added to star fox only leaves one possible logical conclusion: zelda u will only be playable with project giant robot controls.
wow. what were they thinking? just the number of stupid ways for sonic to express his love of rings — how did no one on the team at one point say, "guys, i think 18 of these is too much"?
this is why nintendo simply isn't doomed, nor will it be doomed in my lifetime. this is an app that was very easy to make profitable, all while working in partnership with another company so as not to divert resources from let's say metroid and piss people off. it's ridiculously creative and quirky and charming, and it's also financially responsible. so there you go.
it's by platinum games, makers of goty 2014. if anyone's gonna say this game is bad before they try it, then there's no talking to them. know what a bad game is? just look at those games on metacritic with an 85 from critics and a 3.2 from users.
nintendo isn't completely innocent there, as amiibo festival comes to mind, but that sure as hell wasn't an action game by platinum, and it sure as hell wasn't delayed to meet quality standards.
i don't know what the hell they were thinking when they first started deleting things. i myself collect the greatest levels i come across to have them available offline. so my coursebot is crammed with those. so i was thinking, "okay, i can download these levels and save my own creations safely by uploading them." but nope, gone. in what universe would users be made happy by this?
i think "just for you" doesn't mean at all that it will be tailored to what the user really wants, but just that those are partial discounts that cannot be transferred, as opposed to full games you can get as codes to be redeemed by someone else.
i wonder whether clever third parties will start pricing their games at $10 instead of $9.99 to give the buyer 10 extra coins. the only game i've ever seen priced at a natural number is 1001 spikes.
just following up, the second paragraph from nintendo's faq seems to contain the answer:
There are many ways to earn My Nintendo points:
Complete missions on My Nintendo to earn Platinum Points. For some missions, you will need to select "Collect points" to receive your points after completing the mission. In these cases, you will have 30 days in which to collect your points after completing the mission. For a current list of active missions, click here.
To earn Gold Points, you must first link a Nintendo Network ID to your Nintendo Account. Next, use your Nintendo Network ID to purchase downloadable games through the official Nintendo homepage, Nintendo eShop, or through a retailer. You will automatically receive Gold Points for any eligible purchases. (Please note that downloadable content, passes, and themes, as well as physical software, do not qualify for Gold Points.)
Redeem a My Nintendo point code. From time to time, Nintendo will distribute point codes that can be redeemed for My Nintendo points. If you have received a point code, click here to redeem it. The points will appear on the points history page of the My Nintendo website when signed in to your Nintendo Account.
@ThomasBW84 might be too much to ask, but i do think it's important information. can you find out whether redeeming a download code from amazon gives you those gold points? thanks.

Re: The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth Coming To Wii U "In The Coming Months"

Re: Guide: Unlocking Every Stage in Star Fox Zero
looks like there are two minor errors.
"clear get the alternative"
and then
"when the bosses' shield comes up" seems like it should be singular: boss' shield. btw this just led me to learning that it's not boss's before shield, so thanks for that.
