Re: Fitness Boxing 2 Quietly Sells 500,000 Units, Reaching 1.5 Million Across The Series

@Desrever they made a lot of small "quality of life" improvements for the second one (to be honest: they should have made them as updates for the first - but they didn't!), like when there are some movements that the game doesn't register correctly you can check an option where these movements are always counted as "ok". (I let my kids play sometimes and they really got annoyed when their movements were mostly counted as misses - also for myself I had a lot of problems with some sidesteps and ducks to be counted properly).

I own both games and there are so many small improvements that I won't go back to the first one. I'd suggest you get the second game if you plan on sticking with it for some months!

I stopped playing the first one because it never recognized my side-steps and ducks and this was too frustrating. When I heared that you can set some moves to be always counted as "ok" I ordered the second one and play it since three days. Loving it very much so far!

I don't have much time left each day and was pretty active before my fitness-studio closed the doors due to Covid, so I try to get the most out of my playtime: when you do 10 pushups everytime the front-foot changes and play on the new "no mercy" mode it's a really intense workout for 20 - 30 min and worth your time!

Re: Bandai Namco Offers "More Fun For Everyone", Except Switch Owners

I had the first one on 3DS (Pac-Man and Galaga Dimensions) and loved it there. Because of the Coop Mode I got the Switch game on sale for 5€ and really enjoy playing it with my son! It is very challenging for us (he is young and I am bad) - but the game is really well thought up! They didn't just throw in a second player, they also changed a lot of the gameplay to "force" you to interact with each other. You get captured by ghost and the other has a short time to free you and the powerups have to be activated together. You destroy ghosts by squishing them from both sides simultaneously. We love it!

@Heavyarms55
Unlike Fitness Boxing and things like EA Active (for Wii - actually a great fitness game) you don't need a lot of space. You basically need room to run in place, sit down with straight legs and bend to the side while standing. I was positively surprised by this. Also no uncontrolled jumping or sidesteps here.

Already got it and played a lot today, switching accounts with my 2 kids every 2 levels so we could progress it in parallel.

Great game, and when you bump up the difficulty, it really is a great workout, too! More on the cardio and interval side, so it could accompany a regular gym training perfectly.

At max intensity and difficulty each tiny enemy encounter takes two workouts with 20 reps each, which feels a little disproportioned, but otherwise the game does a great job to motivate you all the time!

Re: Review: FIFA 20 - A Shamelessly Cynical Attempt To Swindle Switch-Owning Footy Fans

@scully1888 You are right. It just annoys me that so many review sites and magazines often don‘t even mention when games are frustrating and unplayable without doing additional microtransactions. Most reviewsites and alike are to afraid to loose a publishers goodwill that they don‘t point out the evil stuff. Take each years VideoGameAwards for example... celebrating predatory games and evil publishers without considering when games are designed to force you into continuous spendings and so on. Just to not upset the publishers. I am so sick of this :/

Re: Nintendo Just Teased A Brand New Fitness Experience For The Switch

Nice Idea! I already had a lot if time with EA-Active and Wii Fit on the Wii and Fitnessboxing on the Switch (in addition to traditional fitness), the Problem was always that these games are not very extreme to the muscles. But having a flexible ring to press against could really be great for beginners and experienced alike!

Don‘t be so against fitness games, they can be great fun and improve your coordonation and fitness quite a bit!
