Is it possible Nintendo gave Ubisoft their most beloved IP to help boost the low quality of Rabbids for some other deal later down the line? I know Rabbids have a lot to gain from being associated with Mario without Mario benefitting so Nintendo might be getting something good out of this that we have yet to see.
As much as I wish it will be Ni no Kuni, I don't think it will be... Everything Level 5 makes is quality though so I'll be happy with anything to be honest. Actually, maybe not an Inazuma Eleven game though since I just have lost interest there but if it's something like Fantasy Life, I'll die of happiness.
I felt it was kind of cringe worthy but good editing and good for them trying to skydive with a Switch. That scene plus the guy not washing his hands after using the toilet at the start gave me so much anxiety though.
I recently had my Macbook Pro Charger break so I had to go buy a new one. When I bought it, not only had the charger never changed design but it had somehow become more expensive than it used to be. I need my laptop so I paid $120AUD for it and since my chargers always seem to break, I'll probably have to buy another one in a year and a half or so. Anyways, I think companies know they can charge whatever they want when they know people will buy it. My consolation is that I genuinely love Nintendo's products and I don't feel like they are cold-blooded monsters out to get me. Also, Nintendo generally cares a lot about build quality so I don't feel like I'm necessarily getting a crappy product for my money although the Switch Dock's design is not exactly flawless.
Rhythm Heaven is probably my favourite series ever and I want it to continue on somehow with the Switch. I'd love to see where the game heads to next!
Also I should just point out that the translation is a bit off. They didn't just tell Nintendo they are looking forward to the next installment but also directed it to the Music Producer of the game, Tsunku. It's not really a big deal but I am a massive fan of Tsunku because of his work with Rhythm Heaven and his own music so he deserves to not be omitted I think. He really is the one who has made Rhythm Heaven the game it has become because of all his amazing music.
If I had to pick a favourite, I definitely have the most fun memories with Double Dash which I still enjoy till today (but definitely MK8 is very close to overtaking it). What just pushes it over the line is the creativity I felt in that game and how it did a lot right that Nintendo never really repeated. In MK8, I never had a moment where I strategically chose my character like I did in Double Dash. Their specials really made me enjoy the game so much more and changed how I played the game a lot. Being able to swap characters also meant you could swap items and save items for when you needed them and I wish they had included that in MK8D.
It's so hard to choose because they actually all appeal to me pretty well. I don't know why but I'm really surprised at how many people like Min Min! She is really cute and designed well but her special ability doesn't really excite me as much as some of the other players gameplay wise. Either way, I'm so excited for ARMS!
Not the biggest fan of EA outside maybe the Sims 4 which I can still enjoy sometimes, but bring all the games you want EA! Lots of people love EA games so if they can get more people playing Switch, I think that would be great. The best thing for Switch is to appeal to the widest audience possible I would assume!
I don't know if it's only me but does anyone else get frustrated that the title of the game isn't written clearly for each game on the eShop? I know generally the thumbnails have the title including the name of the game but it just disorients me so much when I want to scroll through the games that are available and I can't really tell what games I'm looking at more immediately. I kind of hope they update titles of games to be written clearly next to the price even though it's probably not that big of a deal.
I think a nod to the classics is better than relying on it to drive sales. Even with using Mario, they generally try to keep his formula both a mixture of old and new to keep pushing Nintendo's IPs forward. If they produce NES Minis forever then I feel like that's a bit of a backwards step even though I would love one for myself. Keep innovating, Nintendo!
So does this mean what will be sold in stores is the New 3DS, the New 3DS XL, the 2DS and the New 2DS XL? I guess there is some logic in that as customers can decide between both size and the ability of 3D in their decision to get into the 3DS family. All they need now is a New 2DS and if they can get enough users to the 'new' family, they might support it with more games than Xenoblade.
What a cute Pokemon! I wasn't that excited to catch 'em all this time round with Sun and Moon even though I loved the game but for some reason seeing things like this definitely make me want to pick up the game again and just explore a bit more of Alola.
Good for them! It is still way too overpriced even as an early adopter but it's found its market which is good. When a cheaper option comes around I definitely will be ready to buy it! I probably need a few more games to justify bringing it everywhere because I'm happy with Zelda at home to be honest and nothing pops out as a game I need to bring with me on the go everywhere just yet!
I haven't played Tokyo Mirage Sessions yet and haven't found a copy anywhere so if it came out on Switch that would make me happy. I don't want to really see direct ports though. If it's like Mario Kart, Pokken and Smash where they can throw in previous DLC or locked content to give a 'fuller' experience I'm down for that but just the same game is kind of lazy. Use the same graphics or engine and make a new game from it aka Splatoon 2 style and I think that's much more effective.
I love the first game and bought the N3DS just to play it again so I really have lots of hope that this game will deliver! Reading this article just made me even more excited and I'm really hopeful it will be released this year!
I can't tell if I'm pleased with this list of games or not but there are definitely at least 3 titles I want from here. Mario is a must and Xenoblade I'm hoping brings back more of the original's story telling because I could never get sick of that. ARMS is something I still have a lot of hope for and I think Nintendo still has a lot to reveal for that and Splatoon 2 is in the same situation except it's gameplay is already a proven success.
The only other game I'm really, really excited for is actually Stardew Valley which I didn't see on the list. I never played it and it is the perfect game for me to have on the go!!!
Even reading and watching different reviews, I realised I'm going to definitely own this game anyway just because it's the kind of thing I like. Reviews can't be everything and I'm way more interested in what the backers who understood the concept of this game have to say more than reviewers.
I saw all the previews for this game and felt unsure so I guess this will stop me from making an impulse buy (yay?). Let's see how other people like it and if it's worth buying for the Switch.
This little detail made me really happy. This game really is just a fun sandbox to explore within. I slowly am understanding all those people who say the main character of the game is infact Hyrule itself or whatever.
My Switch refuses to connect to wifi unless I'm a metre or two away from my router. If that doesn't get fixed, I can't really enjoy Splatoon or any streaming apps so I hope something can be done about it.
The song isn't bad at all but I was kind of hoping it would be a bit different from the DK Rap to set the game apart and give it a bit more unique flavour. It's basically the same song with some new instruments and lyrics so it plays into nostalgia a little too much maybe for me. I feel like they could have done more with it. Either way, can't wait to play it on the Switch later this year (hopefully soon!!!!) I'm really excited for its release!
Also, people writing how upset they are at politics entering this discussion are basically sharing their own political views so it feels a bit counter productive. At the end of the day, everything can be linked back to politics.
