Wow, a musou game getting a 9/10 by 4 reviewers. Even if they’re die hard Zelda fans it’s a game design with limited appeal. I absolutely love musou games and will snatch up as many as I can get. But I totally understand that for most people playing a few battles will probably be enough to satisfy em. I’ll easily drop 100+ hours into each game just to unlock all the characters and what not but still have soooo much to do. Hyrule warriors really hooked me with the Zelda theme and even then I could on do so many repetitive missions in the adventure maps. Interested to see how a more story focused game works.
Wow, I’m shocked by hatred for the term gamer. I wear my heart on my sleeve. I don’t know a single person who reads gaming websites, let alone comment on them, that I wouldn’t consider a gamer. If someone doesn’t call me a nerd a least once a day something is wrong my life.
I’m also a hiker, a painter, a builder and a drinker.
Each to their own though, you do you.
Flying like a unicorn isn’t really an appropriate reference. Unicorns aren’t naturally fliers according to my limited cryptozoological knowledge . I think a Pegasus would be more fitting.
Ridiculous Fishing is one of the most unique and entertaining mobile games. Most games that use gyroscope (or whatever) for motion controls end up feeling gimmicky whereas Ridiculous Fishing I couldn’t imagine it being half as fun with out. If your playing out in public you will definitely get looks as you swing your phone around while you attempt to get your fishing lure, with chainsaws and toasters equipped, to the bottoms of the lake, or sea. Just reinstalled it on my new phone and gave it a replay. Highly recommended.
Forager was a fun little addiction for a few days but after I saw most of what it had to offer I haven’t looked back.
Stardew Valley for Life. Lost count of my playthroughs.
Graveyard keeper has so much promise and is definitely for the more hardcore sim players. You have to really work for success and it only comes in small bits but they are pretty satisfying. If it had the balance and polish of Stardew Valley it would be a real contender.
AC: New Horizons gets a thumbs up but couldn’t hold me for more than a month.
Not choosing the cover I’ve known and loved for 20+ years feel like sleeping with by best friends girl, but I always settle the box art brawls with whichever one I would rather have as a poster. And based off that Japan gets my vote.
If we’re porting Criterion games then please give me Burnout Revenge. My favorite racing game of the time. The crash mode in that game has never been done better.
Considering how hard it is to buy a switch right now they may be saving any amazing news like that until they get some consoles out there to buy. We already have Switches, Nintendo could care less about advertising to us.
Gameplay is what counts for me. I could really care less about the presentation of a game. The EDF series is one on my favorite and when ***** gets crazy, single digit frame rates become the norm. But no other game can really capture what’s its like to be a lonely solider fighting off an invasion of the earth by a combined force of aliens and insects. Games like deadly premonition are the ones who define the games are art debate. Most artist create because they love it. Regardless of what others may feel. And games, like art, don’t have to appeal to everyone.
Stop your complaining and go play a AAA game, that’s probably a 12th remake, made with a profit focused formula, and support an industry that lacks imagination.
I feel like BOTW is more of a spin-off of the traditional Zelda format, like the CD-I games. It had a lot of fun parts that I really enjoyed but on the whole it rarely felt like a Zelda game. I think the game engine could be used to make the one of the best games in the series if they did a more classic style game.
I assume it parents that only touch the switch to make purchases from the store from a kid who says I want the new Pokémon thing. As a 35 year old pokemon fan I understand that most “normal” adults probably stop listening as soon as the word Pokémon comes up.
And I can see said parents getting very upset when a Huge company would quibble over a $30 exchange.
I’m sold. After replacing a iPad screen this looks pretty simple. Lots of steps but nothing special. I’ve got an old SEGA Nomad (the OG Switch) that I really want to mod though. A rechargeable battery and a better screen would make that worth the bulk.
Nintendo are going after people who are profiting off it. It’s all about money. They could care less what you do with your console after you give them 300 bucks. Design and build your own mod chip, create an emulator, run all the games you want for free, whatever. Just don’t sell it afterwards. I promise you Nintendo won’t give an F.
I’d rather have Shadows of the Empire for a Star Wars port and Diddy Kong Racing or Waveracer for my racing game. Podracer just didn’t do it for me. I might plug the cart in later and see how it holds up.
Just finished my second max randomizer run and I still can’t get enough. The Zangetsu playthrough was fun but I probably won’t repeat it. Keep it coming though. I’ll take all the DLC I can get. If you like metroidvanias then the quality will outshine the performance.
Love the big N and I love LEGO but this doesn’t feel like either of those things to me. Mario is all about perfect execution of simple pick up and play family fun.
LEGO is all about encouraging your imagination and creating something unique and special.
This looks like a bastardized version of both ideas. Even if I could get all of this for $100 I’d still pass. I don’t need another box of stuff that I only used once. Can’t wait to see the speedruns though.
I really enjoyed the Randomizer included with it. It was wild. The only movement tech I found for the first 8 hours was Dimension Shift. Made for a cray game.

Re: Feature: What's The Best Way To Play Super Mario Bros. In 2020?
I’ve got a huge box of NES games in the basement. I’m pretty sure I can reach in and have a 1/3 chance of pulling out some version SMB

Re: Bloodless Is Joining Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night As A Bonus Playable Character
If you’ve already beat the game once A new game plus run on normal difficulty only last about 4 hours. Easy peasy.
I’m a big fan of the randomizer runs. I’ve probably done about 10 of them so far. Love this freaking game.
Re: EA's Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Remaster Expected To Be Announced Next Week
Burnout Revenge is the Criterion game of choice for me. Paradise doesn’t even come close to the crash happy spectacle that I can’t get enough of.
