Re: Epic Games Rules Out Unreal Engine 4 For Wii U

Wildfire

Probably I'll get a scold from some of you for saying this, but...
Am I really the only one that's not imppressed at all with that video, tech demo or whatever?
Anyway like most of you I also don't have a single game on my collection that uses UE, so I can live just fine without it and so does Nintendo. That jerk can laugh how much he wants, when the industry finally collapses we'll see if is still laughing when Nintendo is still around and the others aren't.

Edit* I just wanted to rectify one thing. I actually have a game that uses Unreal Engine and that's Batman Arkham City. Oooops!! My bad.

Re: Talking Point: An Open Letter To Nintendo

Wildfire

Well I agree with the fighting spirit part, but nontheless this comes right when I and many of us are having a blast with Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate and soon with Lego City. I speak for myself when I say I can't let go the gamepad thus being extremely happy with the WiiU at the moment!
I also worry with some of the points on this letter but man!Get a hold of yourself and stop doing what the so called "especialized press" and the PS clones and Xbots keep doing. Wich is bringing Nintendo down. And for that we Nintendo fans have enough already I think.
Nintendo will turn around I can feel it!
The storm is just brewing for E3!

Re: Talking Point: The Download or Disc Dilemma

Wildfire

This talking point really comes at the right time.
Seeing as I vastly prefer boxed games with the manuals and for all the reasons you mensioned, it's strange as I saw myself downloading this weekend Assassin's Creed III as part of the sale and also to experiment a download retail game for the first time.
First of all let me say that the prices of the retail downloads aren't very atractive and that's one of the main problems to me, but the fact that the download of Assassin's Creed III took almost 8hours and ended up filling up the memory of my Wii U is enough to validate my stance on this matter. So I'll keep doing as always, going digitally only for the Indy and VC games and buying the boxed retail games.

Re: Cliff Bleszinski Sees A Future Where Nintendo Is Out Of The Hardware Business

Wildfire

This isn't news to me. After all this seems to be the main goal of all that negative press towards Nintendo! That's why they keep ignoring Nintendo, like saying Wii U isn't next gen and such.
Anyway Nintendo will stay on bussiness for a long time now and If dare I say Nintendo went down ( Yeah! That's preferable than turning into the next SEGA and like them be a former shell of themselves) I would stop playing videogames altogether.
And Cliffy...Last time I saw the PS3 and Xbox360 are the ones with the almost identical catalogue of games(and the lineup of games to their next boxes seem to be even more identical, since the third parties aren't making anymore exclusives), so... certainly one of them can get out. Not Nintendo.

Re: Criterion Lavishes Nintendo and Wii U With Praise

Wildfire

Well it's not only because of the praise but also the fact that he's legitimate trying to do something with the machine, instead of the usual nonsense of the "controller being so different that we can't make it work on Wii U". And let's not forget that this guy isn't properly saying anything wrong. The graphical power isn't everything and gameplay indeed matters!
