Re: Feature: Our Staff's Thoughts on Wii U - Part One

Wildfire

Miiverse is amazing and whenever I can I will draw or write something related with the game I'm playing at the time. I also got to say that I like the youtube app, it really surprised me. Just let me end this by saying that Wii U is an outstanding machine that already made me spent hours in front of it just like the good old days playing Mega Drive and Nintendo 64.

Re: Wii U And 3DS Firmware Updates Go Live

Wildfire

I've already updated my wii U and it didn't take half an hour to finish.
But I gotta say that as some of you said above, I'm also fearing the freezing screens, since mine already freezed 2 times and I had to unplug the console.
Let's hope that this update solves this!

Re: Feature: The Nintendo Life Crypt of Downloadable Horrors

I think you forgot Anima: Ark of Sinners for wiiware.
I almost had an exorcism performed to me only to erase the memories of playing that crap and liking it a bit. But after that I clearly saw how my body had been possessed by evil spirits and how rotten that game actually is.
Though I haven't erased the game from my sd card yet, where it's securely confined!
Maybe I'm still possessed by it afterall...shivers

Re: Talking Point: The Challenges When Writing About Games

Wildfire

Listen guys I used to go all the time to Game trailers but then I started to notice a bias torwards microsoft,Sony and a anti nintendo vibe from that bunch that I simply couldn't stand going there anymore. Then I found your site and I've never stoped coming here since for nintendo news and reviews. Well...here and gonintendo!
When I want to see some general news about games I'll simply go to Ign.
What I'm trying to say here is that I trust your reviews guys, so keep the good work!

Re: Feature: Nintendo Life's Top 20 Wii Games

Wildfire

I agree with the major part of this top only changing a few things. For example I would have only one game per franchise, that way I could put Sonic Colours, Red Steel 2 or Madworld on this list. Anyway I'm happy for the single fact that No More Heroes made it's way into the top!

Re: Feature: Looking Back at Six Years of Wii

Wildfire

There were some times in wich I had lost faith on Nintendo during the lifespan of the Wii, but then I would play some new games like New super Mario bros. wii or Metroid other M or Donkey Kong country returns and I was all Nintendo again.
Now that I think about it, the wii actually had lots of great games to offer, one of my favourites and one of the few 3rd party games being No More Heroes(as you can see by my avatar). And there was also Tatsunoko VS Capcom, Epic Mickey, Sin and Punishment 2, Silent Hill, Monster Hunter, Muramasa and some more!
Other great atribute of the Wii was definitely the Virtual Console! Being able to replay some of the gems from the golden age of gaming was a move of genious by Nintendo. Most of the time my PS3 is cast aside covered on dust while I keep playing super Castlevania IV on Wii's VC.
One last thought to wrap up things. The Wii was the videogame system that turned my girlfriend into a gamer. Starting with wiisports, passing through Just Dance and ending up playing Kirby to buying a 3ds for herself (she's a prof.Layton maniac )!
At the end it was one hell of a ride and most importantly, a truly worthwhile journey.

Re: Guess What? Michael Pachter Isn't a Fan of The Wii U

Wildfire

@fchinaski The comment from childofacid makes total sense, since sony is the one who keeps boasting about how their vitaps3 combo can do the same as the Wii U. And Microsoft with their smart glass or something. We all know that's not true but whatever...I don't even care anymore about what Pachter has to say.

Re: Wii U Pro Controller Feels "Amateurish", Say Kotaku

Wildfire

I'm one of the few persons that never liked the Playstation controllers while everybody else seems to love them. What I mean by this is that it's just the opinion of that guy, only after trying them out will I be able to pass on a judgment but I gotta say if it's anything like the classic wii pro controller I'll be fine with it! Or without it, since the wii U gamepad IS the main control pad!

Re: Metroid Blast Joins Nintendo Land Roster

Wildfire

As a big metroid fan I'm really not impressed with this or any of the other suposed atractions on Nintendo land. But as long as others are having fun with this minigames or demos or whatever, it's fine by me.
