This is such a fun series and generally misunderstood I think. Its bizarrely way more cute and wholesome than people realise, when you look past the obvious ecchi side of it. Ive really enjoyed both previous games, but never played the xbox original.
@HotGoomba I know right? How does this even happen? Am hoping Dungeon Defenders doesn't fall foul of this. Another random port I'm looking forward to playing on Switch.
How did this not end up great?! I played this so much on Xbox. Actually a really scary amount. Was kind of interested to revisit on Switch... maybe less so now.
Hades, Spirtfarer and Nexomon all worthy third party entries there for sure. Always amazes me how the first party stuff stays so popular. Surely EVERYONE own Mario Kart already by now?
@JayJ its legit the best thing about this game. Its SO good. Borderline revolutionary - honestly. Its the singular best thing thats happened to the genre in ages. Every car essentially makes it feel like a while new game.
For reference. I played the prologue on Steam for almost 20 hours, and thats just 2 cars and 2 tracks!
@JimmySpades I would absolutely reccomend. I have both Steam and Switch versions. The mechanics are incredible once it clicks after the first 10 mins or so of play.
The Plants vs Zombies shooters don't get anywhere near enough credit that they deserve. Not a massive EA fan tbh - but they PvZ stuff like Garden Warfare are really well made.
So sick of stuff getting review bombed these days. Sure you can take an issue with something, but the digital pile on, on some games is kind of childish.
Evergate easily my favourite. Mechanically the most refreshing platformer I've played in ages. Mad flexibility around the way you move and a crazy high skill ceiling if you're willing to explore and push the mechanics. Wonderful game.
So many great Arcade Racers coming out at last. I'm probably going for Inertial Drift first as the PC demo was incredible, then maybe pick this up when it goes on sale.

Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Tactics Ogre: Reborn
Glad Square managed to get at least one thing right this year - they've got a pretty ropey track record with their remasters.
Re: Random: Fan Remakes Pokémon Yellow In Link's Awakening-Style 3D
This looks so cool. Day 1 for me ^_^

Soooo, Slay the Spire with anime girls then.

Re: Round Up: 14 Switch Games Showcased In The New Game+ Expo
Gunvolt series is so good. Basically the spiritual and modernised successor to the Mega Man Z series (same dev)
Re: Valthirian Arc: Hero School Story 2 Casts Its Spell On Switch This Year
Oh wow, this got a sequel? That's cool.
Really liked the originals concept and it was really fun - well worth the $5 I spent on it.
Pleased it's getting the chance to grow. Will keep an eye on how this goes.
Re: Review: F-Zero X - The Best The Series Has To Offer
GX without question. X has aged badly - and feels so empty and lacking in charisma. GX still holds up as an excellent racer in its own right.
Re: Talking Point: Which Game Stage Have You Replayed More Than Any Other?
Right now, any of the Dauntless escalations. Love that game.
Back in the day, the opening to Resi 4 got played so much back when the Famitsu demo came out.
Re: Feature: Best Visual Novels For Nintendo Switch
When you put Worldend Syndrome in the feature image, but don't mention it in the article? Also, Worldend Syndrome is a top tier Switch VN.

Loved this series. Would be great to see the originals on eShop.
Re: New 4K Switch Model Could Launch For $399, Analysts Suggest
Given Switch sales haven't even peaked yet, this is still way off. Why would Nintendo launch a new console when year on year sales are still rising?

Re: Reminder: Version 2 Of The Monster Hunter Rise Demo Is Now Live

Re: Soapbox: I'm Tired Of Ports And Remakes - Where Are All Nintendo's New Ideas?
Ports of old games are great. And old game is still a new game if you've never played it before - don't ever forget that.
Re: Farm-And-Fight Game, Kitaria Fables, Details Its Multi-Class Combat System
Loved Cat Quest, and this looks waaaay better tbh. Can't wait.
Re: Nintendo Is "Rigorously Responding" To Demand For Multiple Switch Consoles Per Household

Can we just skip this and have another Virtua Tennis please?
Re: There Are Currently No Plans To Bring More Kingdom Hearts Games To Switch

Re: Nintendo Download: 27th August (Europe)
The Last Campfire and Captain Tsubasa for me for sure - it's been too long since someone made a really fun OTT football game.
