We have yet to see Queen Sonia playable, though. None of the existing footage features her directly, only as a partner for sync strikes.
This makes me think that she might be among the "temporary units", where you can take control of them in certain missions, but you don't get to freely pick them. Which would make sense...
In some cases I passed on old hardware to family members, but only when it truly became redundant and when it wasn't some kind of special edition. In case of the Switch, I currently own the Tears of the Kingdom OLED model and as a Zelda fan I'm going to treasure it for the rest of time.
Whether I'm still going to use it or not once I have the Switch 2, that's a different question. Probably not.
Believe it or not, I'm actually quite excited for this... Not the Mega Man episode or most of it really, but Unreal Tournament. This is still one of my favorite games and the franchise has been in ruins for a while now, so it's thrilling to see... something.
@Lxlxrxzx The amiibo outfits are all recolors of outfits already existing in the game, so there is no omission here. The Royal Attire can be obtained from a side quest.
I'd argue that someone who has the time and energy to devote an entire video and Twitter campaign about supporting an outfit option in the newest Zelda game must have a pretty awesome and otherwise carefree life. Like, imagine THAT is your biggest problem right now. I'm envious.
It's clearly meant to be part of the Downfall timeline, where the Hyrule looks very similar to the one from ALttP and ALBW, and Ganon looks the same as in all those games as well. Keep in mind that Ganon gets killed, revived and killed again in this timeline, so there are plenty of possibilities here.
However, since this Hyrule looks a lot more developed, I think this takes place long after ALBW. What used to be Death Mountain, for example, looks now heavily mined (which was started by Rosso in ALBW) and is now covered in snow, while there seems to be a new Death Mountain to the west of Kakariko.
That VR is so expensive right is now is exactly the reason why I could see Nintendo try something, where they disrupt the competitors with a cheaper alternative. I guess it would work similarly to what we already had with LABO, just not made out of cardboard. So, you would insert the "Switch 2" as a screen into the VR headset, which in itself then wouldn't have to be as expensive as what you get with competitors.
Of course it also wouldn't be as good. But does it have to be for it to be a fun new way to play with your Switch?
I've recently replayed Link's Awakening on Switch and I definitely want to replay Breath of the Wild in Master Mode, also on the Switch, before Tears of the Kingdom comes out, mainly because I have only played and completed the game on Wii U so far and I also want a completed save on the new console. It will also be nice to go into the sequel with a fresher memory, of course, where I can get a better sense of what has changed.
I might also replay Skyward Sword HD, but I would have to be very bored for that. It's just that I haven't touched Hero Mode since the remaster came out and I kind of want to complete it. But I might do this after Tears of the Kingdom.
Otherwise, I've also been replaying Hyrule Warriors with its Definitive Edition a bit, but that's something I just do from time to time, where I'm just going through the beast that is Adventure Mode once more. I've fully completed Legend and Adventure Mode before on Wii U and New 3DS, where this is quite the commitment, so I don't really want to focus on it for a third time. But I still enjoy going at it from time to time.
I noticed this during my first playthrough back in 2017... I wouldn't count it as an easter egg, though, but it's certainly some nice attention to detail
@dudujencarelli I wouldn't this as part of 100% completion. Whether you have taken the photo or not, it makes no difference for your save file at the end. You can still take one if you just want to have it.
I mainly want Four Swords. Since the games can be played online with friends now, this would be a huge game changer for me personally, since I rarely had the chance to play this with others.
Since The Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD already got sold on their own for the Wii U, I could imagine them doing a double pack for the Nintendo Switch. Maybe even a triple pack, where the put an HD remaster of Link's Crossbow Training on top, since that could just reuse the assets from Twilight Princess HD.
About GREZZO... They had released an artwork of their next major project last year, which didn't really look like Zelda. I'd love to see remake of the Oracle games, but I don't think we're going to see those before BotW2.
As for the Broadcast Satellaview games, I've wanted those for years, but it might be somewhat tricky to modernize them in a satisfactory way. They were like television shows with four episodes each, because they had actual live narration. There is a really great restoration project out there, which even has some good voice acting, but the episodic format really makes this something quite weird, where Nintendo just might not be interested. These games were also super short and easy, since you had to be able to beat them within four hours.
Got FAST Racing NEO for 2.99€, because I always wanted to give this a try. I like it so far, I love the insane speed. Sadly, the DLC still costs 5.99€, twice as much as the game currently.
I may get FAST RMX in the future, but only if it becomes available via cartridge.
I haven't restarted the game, but I have only started playing it in late August. And since I don't want to time travel, I was really excited about this new feature, because it might have given me the chance to experience some seasons ahead of time...
But no, you already have to live an entire year through the game to unlock all those islands? Thanks for absolutely nothing, Nintendo. What's even the point?
The lack of any rating system somewhat ruins this DLC for me. Your own island and home in the main game are constantly rated and this might motivate you to do things in a certain way, even if you don't necessarily want to...
Happy Home Paradise is now a game all about satisfying your clients. It would be ideal for this type of rating system, where they may give a number of five stars. And the more stars you get, the better the payment. But this is not the case. As long as you have placed the mandatory items, they will be happy. You can even go completely against their vision and still get the job done. It's completely pointless and everything you do is just to satisfy your own sense of style. It still can be a lot of fun, don't get me wrong, but I just wish that there were actual goals here than just going through a number of clients.
You could argue that this is fine and it's just a tool to have a good time, where games don't need to have scores all the time. But then why does the main game rate YOUR own personal home once per week, where it really shouldn't matter what you do with? And now that you're designing the home of others based on their wishes, it suddenly doesn't matter what you do? Eh... I don't get Nintendo sometimes.
Yes, but this was only the case for treasures and insects. Hearts didn't have this issue, at least not in the PAL version. Not sure if this was different for the NTSC release, however.
This is factually wrong, both from Nintendo's end and even NintendoLife.
The original game did not explain what a heart is every single time. It also only did so just once in the beginning of the game and then never again. Even after turning the Wii off and starting the game again. The same with Stamina Fruits, where it seems that no one from Nintendo's marketing department has ever played the game on Wii.
The problem only occurred with the treasures and insects. And this is what they have fixed in Skyward Sword HD (according to their press release), not the hearts or any other items.
Not entirely correct. Afaik it doesn't come with the Portal themed extra "Test" world that the Wii U version had. Or at least I couldn't find it after completing all the levels...
@smashbrolink No, to all of these. It's a separate item, which doesn't replace the lantern, it doesn't require Lantern Oil, and it only makes a spooky light, if there are Poes around.
@Stuffgamer1 I know and I absolutely agree. I was also hoping for a way to either make the Poes appear during day or change the time of day. You can understand my disappointment, when I learned that this item does neither. It's like Nintendo acknowledged the issue with the Poes, but ultimately decided to not really change anything about it...
There seems to be a big misunderstanding here. From what we've seen so far, the Ghost Lantern only tells you, where the Poes are during day. It doesn't make them appear during the day, you still have to wait for the night. It's actually a very useless addition to the game. I hope, I'm wrong about this, but I have yet to see this item make the Poes appear. It only shines...
And no, waiting for the night doesn't make the game more difficult. Was Ocarina of Time easier, because it had the Sun's Song? Some people...
@GamerFromJump Wow! You're so right. How dare Nintendo to lock a COLOR dungeon for play on new hardware with a color screen?!! Seriously, the comparison of yours don't hold any ground. You might as well complain about not having colored graphics on the original GameBoy. There was new hardware and the game supported it. And buying a GameBoy Color is sure different from buying a toy figurine that unlocks content. With that GameBoy Color I could play the Oracle games for example...
It's a hardware thing. The color dungeon would not be possible without the GameBoy Color. Most of the amiibo content on the other hand would be entirely possible without the amiibo. It's just a scam, where you have to buy figurines, which you may not want, in order to get the content and ingame features that you want.
Well, it sounds like they're going package the DLC with drabland areas. So, one pack could potentially give you a new area with four stages + 12 challenge missions + one Coliseum arena + new materials and outfits for that area.
Maybe they even do the preorder system from Hyrule Warriors and Mario Kart 8 again. I would like that. As long as it doesn't go down the same route as Smash 4, I'm not opposed to DLC.
Best news in a while! I want to enjoy collecting all the costumes in TriForce Heroes without having to track down figurines, which I don't want. I already got really mad, when they announced that I had to get the Link amiibo, if I wanted to use the Spinner in Hyrule Warriors. That was a massive disappointment.
amiibo is an huge issue for everyone, who just wants the content, but not the figurines. I think amiibo are great in Smash, because they don't take anything away from the game, but add an interesting idea. However, their inclusion in other games usually just results in locked content... and either it's not really interesting or worth it for the amiibo fans or it angers the people, who want to buy a complete game. In any case someone will always be unhappy with amiibo and it's good that they keep it out of this Zelda title.
The original source of this data was Brawl Custom Music back in November. It's very likely legit update data similar to the leaks in Hyrule Warriors, which all were real.
Nin3DSFan on GameFAQs just had some fun with this leak, nothing more. His obvious jokes are not a "proof" that the information would be fake. He's just toying around and professional sites like NintendoLife and NintendoEverything should rather take a look at the actual sources.
@DBPirate
The predictions from BitBlock were based on the BrawlCustomMusic leak. So, they still might turn out to be real.
I really dislike this concept of amiibo locked content. I'm not a figurine collector, but I usually want all the content for a game, so Nintendo is putting me in an awkward position with their new business practice of amiibo. I'm not happy with this.
Smash did amiibo right, but in most of the other games they seem like a physical key for normal DLC content. They should offer the possibility to buy the content without amiibo and I wouldn't have any issues.

I still think that it has to do with them sitting on lots of Nintendo 3DS XL units, which now became obsolete with the New Nintendo 3DS XL. I mean, they are even at the same price, so why would someone buy a Nintendo 3DS XL now...?
Super Smash Bros. 4 was a good way of selling through the old 3DS models, before they released the new one(s).
@AJWolfTill There are unlockable weapons, which haven't been shown yet. Two very crazy ones... Actually one of these weapons could be considered to be a character on its own.
As a Zelda fan, who has put more than 150 hours into this game already, I can say that Hyrule Warriors is tons of fun and very addicting. Easily my game of the year... I don't care if the environments don't look as nice as in a usual Nintendo product. The game is fun and that's all what matters.
Also, the music in this game is awesome... what's wrong with your ears?
So, don't get scared by the 7/10 here. Best try it out for yourself.
I just bought a Nintendo 3DS XL with the golden A Link Between Worlds Limited Edition last year in addition to my Zelda 25th Anniversary Edition 3DS...
So, unless they will make another Zelda special edition, I'll probably pass. And now I feel like my 3DS XL is an inferior product, because it doesn't have the c-stick or the better 3D... way to please your fans Nintendo, all of this should have been including in the original XL...
Trine is not that good, so I would advise to play Trine 2 first and play Trine later, if you liked Trine 2. The story can be understood without playing the first game.
Anyways, I'm happy to see the Enchanted Edition coming to the Wii U. I will definitely buy it, even though I already have it on the PC (the beta).

Re: Poll: Tell Us What You Think of the New Nintendo 3DS
I just bought a Nintendo 3DS XL with the golden A Link Between Worlds Limited Edition last year in addition to my Zelda 25th Anniversary Edition 3DS...
So, unless they will make another Zelda special edition, I'll probably pass. And now I feel like my 3DS XL is an inferior product, because it doesn't have the c-stick or the better 3D... way to please your fans Nintendo, all of this should have been including in the original XL...
Re: Poll: Is Online Co-Op a Major Miss in Hyrule Warriors, or is Local Multiplayer Enough?
That's not a deal breaker ... they could always release it later with an update or so, if the demand is there.
I'm a lot more interested in the final roster. That's where the big disappointments could happen.
Re: Two Tribes Announces New 2D Shooter, RIVE
I really enjoyed the Toki Tori games and this looks really good.
Re: The Link Outfit and Gear in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is Almost Too Cool
This trailer is ten months old ... still nice to see again.
Re: Trine Enchanted Edition Will Be Casting A Spell On The Wii U Later This Year
Trine 2 is one of my favorite games of all time.
