Better to have a digital only release rather than not at all. Day one for me. Have a feeling we might eventually get Kiwami 2 and maybe a two game physical release.
@dil_power Same here. I find i am playing more and more retro titles nowadays thanks to all the greed, mtx, battle passes, cosmetic and pre order shenanigans. Whats worse now is so much content is advertised and held back even before games are released. Its the kind of greed that will eventually wreck the industry.
@Rika_Yoshitake Im kind of with you on this one. His voice tends to grate on me and he is negative all the time. Unlike the other Digital Foundry presenters I do tend to skip to the bits I want in his videos or skip altogether. As for the game I know Switch ports will be lacking graphically compared to there counterparts but that comprise is outweighed by the fact its on device that I can take with me. Games like Persona work brilliantly portably because you can just dip in and out when you feel like it.
@MidySeaCloud Liked Silhouette mirage was a shame its locked to the past now with no conversions likely to come.
Can imagine mischief makers coming to switch online
@alexybubble Tbh that is more what i was meaning to say with regards to the time period I mentiined. Pretty much all games that have been done so far have been 2D games which I would imagine is a lot easier to emulate than some of the exotic hardware used in early 3D arcade machines.
This was one of the highlights for me in the recent Direct. With Konami, SNK,Taito and Namco among others it would be great to see Sega release older titles in the Arcade Archive cillection. Anyway, now that Namco are aboard with the Arcade Archive series Im hoping that we see more of the lesser known Namco games that never feature reguarly in their collections.
I dont tend to collect sealed games as honestly I dont see the point. I like many of the posts above tend to collect games that I had when I was younger or couldnt get or have access to. I also tend to go for games that I enjoy and not just collecting for collectings sake.
So many great memories from the Commodore days. The Amiga was king among those. Sensible Soccer, Project X, Cannon Fodder, F1, Walker, Stunt Car Racer, Wings and X-Copy 😀 among others.
