I can't wait for this, its a shame that it increases the pressure to rush through my (J)RPG backlog though!

Bang Bang by Jessie J, Ariana Grande, and QUEEN Nicki Minaj was a good choice.

I played Runescape for like what, 7+ years? The various lives remind me of that a bit, with mining / woodcutting / blacksmithing etc. But combined with the life sim style of one of my favorite series, Animal Crossing? Count me in 100%. Has the makings of a great classic-styled RPG with a modern life sim twist. Props to Level 5!

Why does Shulk have a speedo outfit.. O_o I'm looking forward to trying out a bunch of new fighters, but I'm most looking forward to Villager & Zero Suit Samus. There was a shortcut to switch to Zero Suit upon the start of a match in a previous title and I would always use that to play as her. Villager probably will be difficult to master but I plan on doing so at all costs, lol.

I live in NA but just got around to picking this up last week and it is insanely addicting. I would encourage you patient Europeans not to give up on this game despite the delays- it is one of the best titles I own for the 3DS and I would say I'm maybe 15% through all of the content It is perfect for October as well- being creepy as hell and all... after this and Conception II I am really starting to love Atlus.

I prefer physical copies for games such as Pokemon as well, so this isn't an issue for me- but I do hope it is indicative of a large amount of content. From what we have seen already it seems to have more content than XY. I'm glad my favorite Pokemon region to date is getting such an amazing overhaul. Mega Altaria looks amazing and can finally be used without that crippling 4x ice weakness!

At first I thought I would only get the Wii U version, but as the release draws closer my itch to play smash is making we want to pre-order this. I probably will soon enough. Its good training and the added portability is perfect..

This really upsets me as I want to play Xendoblade Chronicles very badly, but I most likely will not be able to upgrade. Having the cartridge and stylus slot on the bottom like that is also a major inconvenience, something that would irritate me consistently.

What is next, a "New Wii U" with exclusives? I just hope that when Xenoblade Chronicles X comes out for Wii U that we get the original game too, like Bayonetta 2 is doing.

In the meantime, I guess I'll stick to the upcoming games for the 3DS that I can actually play, like Pokemon OR/AS, Smash, and Fantasy Life..

To all the people saying "Oh I just bought a 3DS XL but I just HAVE to get this too hehe, love you Nintendo!" - It's great that you are fortunate enough to be able to afford both, but that is not the case for everyone and this is a slap in the face to the average XL owner. NFC compatibility and exclusive port(s)? When I buy a system, I expect it to be able to play that gen's games and not have to worry about exclusive ports of games I want coming to an upgraded version. 3ds -> 3DS XL -> 2DS -> "New 3DS"? Really? I get that Nintendo wants to make improvements but pardon me for being a little angered by this as a loyal Nintendo customer.

I first read this as A World of Klefkis. It is safe to say I am disappointed.

Why is everyone saying there is nothing coming out for 3DS? Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire, Smash Bros., Fantasy Life, Persona Q: SOTL, etc. Not to mention, I'm pretty sure Professor Layton Vs. Phoenix Wright just came out. Maybe its because my 3DS backlog is huge or the fact that I'm playing three JRPG's on it at the moment, but I don't see how its strapped for news. In addition, we finally have news of Yokai Watch coming to North America.

I'd enter this if it wasn't for the fact that I only have a personal account and people would think I'm insane, lol. I'm tempted though..

The problem isn't the Wii U itself, its how Nintendo marketed it. When I mention to people that I have a Wii U and they tell me they have one too, only to later find out that they actually have a Wii, it is disappointing. I never saw a single advertisement for the Wii U.

The Wii U is a fantastic system and the gamepad is an asset, people just do not know about it.

I'll probably get it for the new tracks (especially the Animal Crossing one) and the villager.

I'm not really interested in any of the other characters this has to offer.

Zero Suit Samus is 100% tasteful. Women are allowed to have boobs. Zero Suit Samus is no more sexualized than half the male protagonists out there (not referring to male Nintendo protagonists because most of them aren't designed for slightly more mature games like Metroid.)

EDIT: I would also like to add that shirtless males with bulging muscles are just as sexualized, if not much more than, zero suit Samus. You will also notice she is fully clothed and even her alternate costumes are tasteful.

This is my favorite thing to happen in a long time. Can this fish please beat the game?

Shovel Knight is definitely a great game. I actually haven't played any on this list. I better change that O_o

Edea and Ringabel were my favorites, but Agnes' return is definitely welcome. And what are you people talking about, Bravely Default has wonderful writing/story/translating.

I tend to distrust most hacks, but I have to say it is interesting to see what else is hidden within the game.

Nice! I don't usually get the same game twice, but maybe if I reallly like it. Downloading Steamworld Dig for 3DS today most likely due to the temporary sale.

@HandheldGuru97 I've never seen that gif animated before, but its even better! I'm insanely excited to return to Hoenn, my favorite Pokemon region. I might get both so I can do weird playthroughs like only using Kecleon.

All I have to say to those in regions that Shovel Knight hasn't come to yet is.. do NOT pass on this game. Waiting is annoying, but the quality is simply perfection.

I'd prefer a Wii U version. Also, Minecraft wasn't designed around the 3DS system so that is why its not optimal. Games made FOR 3DS run fantastically.

Smash Bros. U, Bayonetta 1+2, Hyrule Warriors, Captain Toad. Waiting on Project CARS review and have Watch_Dogs already.

My wallet is really angry. I have such more important expenses coming up this year too >_< Oh, and amiibo..

Absolutely not. They're just being spoon-fed poor excuses for "games" entirely designed to generate revenue. The difference in gaming with a console, like the 3DS, is that you are paying for depth and quality. They are designed to generate revenue, but you are actually getting video games- a label that 99.9% of tablet games do not deserve.

@biglittlejake I have to say yes. I'd check out some guides on the unending amount of content as well. Most casual players pass over a lot of the customization options and content. I have 290 or so hours on NL and I am nowhere near completion, haha. Beware: addicting! Its a great series, but Animal Crossing isn't for everyone. But those that can get into it get /really/ into it.

Its a cross between Dante's Inferno and RuPaul's Drag Race! LOL. Seriously, I can't wait to play this.

What I love about this particular prize is that it emphasizes diversity and public engagement, to quote this article. I think New Leaf deserves to win from just looking at the description of this competition. GTA 5 is a ton of fun and who doesn't love a good simulated crime rampage, but I personally don't think it should win this specific competition..

I'm going to get the Wii U version this weekend to support Yacht Club Games and the Wii U. I had intended on getting this but the review made me all the more eager. Good job @ Yacht Club for making this game, hopefully we see more of them in the future. Happy shoveling, lol. I /really/ hope this game is a success because I've been following its development for a while and it really looks like a deserving title that should become somewhat of a beacon for this particular genre of indie.

Looking forward to this. What really interests me is the fact that Splatoon devs were taken from the core Animal Crossing team. You can kind of see it in the art style a little bit. That could indicate no Animal Crossing U though

What he is doing essentially calls attention to the fact that there IS a neighborhood watch using recognizable characters. I can't see a downside here, so props to him!

The incorporation of branding in Animal Crossing: New Leaf is done seamlessly and actually contributes to the trading/player interaction of the game. I'll be darned if the 7-11 set I payed 15M bells for isn't a prized part of my home collection!

I think this article is a tad too pessimistic. Instead of ripping on Nintendo for establishing itself commercially, we should be praising it for NOT selling its soul for cash like many major companies already have. Nintendo is not the kind of company with a history of exploiting its consumer base for a quick boost in funds.

The Mercedes in Mario Kart 8 should be viewed as a positive thing, as it signifies that other DLC (which everyone has called for, including this site) could be on the way.

This would be great. Especially because Minecraft dev(s) would have a whole new market in Japan, where minecraft is anything but mainstream.

Nintendo's new IP's look great... Project Guard is doing things no Tower Defense game ever has. People say it looks boring, but you must remember its a /tower defense/ game- its probably the most exciting game to hit the genre!

Splatoon is definitely a breath of fresh air in the shooter genre, but the mechanic that has me most interested is the territorial aspect. You can see your territory very plainly and move through it via squid transformation. That is something that just wouldn't work in an IP like Call of Duty.

Project Giant Robot, Project S.T.E.A.M (lets not forget about this 3DS gem), Captain Toad.. so many possibilities. And it looks like Kirby and the Rainbow Curse is going to make fantastic use of the Gamepad. This E3 was exactly what the Wii U needed.

Combined with Zelda U, Bayonetta 1&2, Devil's Third announcement, the promise of (two?) new Metroid games, Mario Maker, Yoshi's Woolly World and even more I'm forgetting- of course Nintendo triumphed!

This is a game specifically designed to make use of the Gamepad. This first impression review actually increased by interest in this game quite a bit.

A friend of mine, who recently declared the Wii U a "worthless piece of crap not worth 50 bucks," is considering buying one after E3. The event generated some buzz in the gaming community, but more needs to be done to spread the word about the console. I mentioned to non-gaming friends that I got a Wii U and they asked if you could "play it on the Wii."

That figure is probably a bit too generous. Maybe $80 and a 20% off any item coupon.

Now I feel guilty for playing Conception II, lol. In all seriousness, I don't know much about anime, to be perfectly honest. Perhaps they just need a stricter rating system? I applaud Japan for stepping in the right direction with this.

If I have the time and money I might pick up Persona Q, Harvest Moon: Lost Valley, and Shin Megami Tensei IV because I've yet to play it for some odd reason. There are tons of indies / e-shop titles coming too. Combined with that and my insane backlog, I'll be content until Hyrule Warriors.

This article made me smile for several reasons:
1) These South Koreans are SO enthusiastic and I love it.
2) This is unexpected.
3) That cat in the background of that picture is priceless.
