Re: Without iOS Support Nintendo "Doesn’t Reach Today’s Kids" Says Apple Advocate John Gruber

I have a 10 year old son, a five year old son, four 3DS', a gameboy advance, a gameboy, 2 iPhones, one iPod and and iPad. At this moment, my 5 year old is playing a 3ds, and my 10 year old is playing the gameboy advance. Our iPad hasn't been touched in weeks. It all depends on the family. For that donkey to make such an ignorant statement is folly. He can't make statements based on his own living room and transpose that onto everyone else. There's plenty of room for it all.

Re: Out Today: The Wonderful 101

You lucky Europeans. I wish NA release date was this upcoming week. I'll be on vacation from work and would very much like to play it while I'm off. Oh well, I patiently await its arrival and will get caught up on a couple of other games I've been meaning to complete.

Re: New Super Mario Bros. 2 Coin Total Passes One Trillion

I still dig it out from time to time to best the Streetpass records. Other than that I feel like I've played the hell out of it. I beat the game with all shiny stars and my Streetpass record stands at a maxed out 30,000 coins. I have only 650,000ish coins. I really don't see the need to get to one million.

Re: Masahiro Sakurai Outlines the Challenges of Smash Bros. Development

@rlopez1996
I dont know... heres what he said. "Every time, you know, I try to the point where I think I can't go on any longer. For example, I think pretty much the limit when it comes to creating characters for a Smash Bros. is about 20, counting those from older games."
20, counting characters used in older games. That sounds like only 20 to me, unless he miss-spoke. Heres who's confirmed for sure so far: 1) Wii fit trainer 2) Luigi 3) Villager 4) Mega Man 5) Samus 6) Link 7) Mario 8) Bowser 9) Kirby 10) Pit 11) Pikachu 12) Captain Olimar 13) Donkey Kong 14) Fox

If 20 is the correct number, there is 6 still unannounced. I would just assume peach and Zelda will be playable, or else another round of "Nintendo is sexist" talk will resume. That's four slots left. Thoughts? I'm still guessing Pacman will drop in.

Re: Legendary Adventure Title Myst Receives Permanent Price Cut On 3DS eShop

I played and beat it back in the early 90s. The game has literally zero replayability. Once you know the ending, there's no point to go through the hassle again. You get a code from one of the last books you find. Once you know the code, you can beat the game. If you start the game over from scratch, yet you still remember the sequence code, you can beat the game in under 10 seconds. It may be fun to revisit Arkham city after beating the batman game. It may be enjoyable to peak into the mushroom kingdom after beating a Mario game. It is lame and wildly unsatisfying to revisit Myst.

Re: Nintendo Zone StreetPass Relay System Announced

Shworange

The only problem I see with this happens when (for instance) you and a family member walk into a McDonald's. One of you may get a new Streetpass. The other will get nothing. Presumably I just streetpassed my friend. I will get the new Streetpass and he will get nothing since he all ready streetpassed me and the Streetpass clock hasn't reset yet.

Re: Michel Ancel: Working on Wii U Provided the "Main Excitement" for Rayman Legends

I agree with him in that it's not easy for the masses to click with why a game pad is great. When we have people over, they always ask about it. Two hours later, they get it and love it. I love when functional, creative uses for the game pad are employed by developers. With that said, when showing the system to new users, they love simply having inventories on the gamepad, or streaming full games to it as well! All of this needs to be highlighted in advertising, but for whatever reason Nintendo just doesn't bother featuring the benefits on ads. A big miss for sure.
