I actually contacted you Nintendo Life (and GoNintendo) back on September 27 about this but you obviously thought it wasn't newsworthy. GoNintendo were the only ones to post this news but no one else picked up the story and it went over everyone's heads.

I attempted to pre-order this game last year and couldn't. It was hard to get for a while but has since had numerous price drops. I've been wanting to get it but then I heard about these expansions a few months ago so I've held off. I will not be buying them digitally but I hope for a physical complete edition.I wonder what the chances of that are?

I'm surprised they're starting with so many of the heavy hitters.

Thirteen out of twenty I have never played before so a lot of them will be like new games. I'm not sure about Breath of Fire. I remember playing one or two of them on an emulator in the early 2000's but I'm not sure which one. I remember enjoying it very much though. The cover of Super Soccer looks very familiar so I think I've played it. I had a lot of soccer games on the SNES.

Donkey Kong Country next month please? Oh, and Mario's Time Machine.

@DrJoson I LOVE Star Fox Adventures. I wish we'd get a remaster (or better still, a second game).

No buy, once again. I'm sick of download codes. They think by putting one game on the cartridge (the most popular one), it'll get people to buy it.

They don't deserve our money but I WOULD buy this triple pack if they released all three games physically and I suppose the only way that'll happen is if there's an Asian version.

There doesn't seem to be an Asian version of the Origins collection yet but I'm still holding out hope.

I hope they're all on the cartridge and not just two or there of them.

@BacklogBlues I got it from Amazon for only $55 (Australian) back in April (it's currently $159!). I didn't realize it was so gigantic until it arrived. I should've gotten two copies as well but I wouldn't have had the space anyway.

So there won't be a regular version in stores? I've missed out on all physical editions sold through these websites as shipping costs and the conversion rate into Australian dollars is a killer.

Hell Warders is also coming out physically.

Persona 5 will be announced at the next Nintendo Direct (before E3). Just wait and see.

It's like they don't want our money. Well if this is true, they won't be getting mine. Digital is bad enough (at least for me) but a code in a case is downright insulting. I wish this ridiculous trend would end.

@Anti-Matter Your comment stuck with me after I first saw it and the possibility of a Switch playing 3DS titles is exciting, especially since sales of 3DS are dwindling. There's a new article titled "New Nintendo Switch "Lite" Will Have an Impressive Secret Feature". This immediately made me think of your comment, as did the following paragraph from the article:

So much for that article saying it's unlikely we'd get both versions. I can't wait to hear more about the Pro version. I'll most likely get it.

@GetShulked Besides Cuphead, Rare Replay is the Microsoft title I want the most. At this point in time and considering everything that's happening lately, I don't see why it wouldn't happen. In fact, I'd say expect it.

As long as it's not released by Limited Run or Super Rare Games, it'll be a day 1 purchase for me. I knew it would make it to the Switch eventually. I've been dying to play it since it was first announced.

I'm guessing these will be limited releases as usual? I'm not against small companies releasing physical versions of games that otherwise might've stayed digital-only but it can be very expensive for those of us outside the US and only doing one print of a few thousand copies means you have to rush to buy it before it's gone forever. I'd love these games to become MOD (made on demand) in the future.

BUT, the Australian ratings board already let the Castlevania collection slip. Perhaps it doesn't work like the ESRB (as in, they only rate physical games) but I have a feeling these collections will eventually get retail releases.

I'm so sick of Capcom. They've stuffed Ace Attorney up and now this. I thought if anything, it would be Resident Evil 0 as a download, not the others. I will not buy them digitally and that is that. If there's a physical version of all three games in South East Asia then I'd buy it in a second. They're $40 each on the Australian eShop. I'd pay that for physical but I won't ever get these digitally.

@CairiB I completely agree. Not everyone can play everything for one reason or another. For this game, even if I did play it before, I'd be thrilled to play it with new coat of paint and new mechanics.

Great news but Gamestop? If it's exclusive to Gamestop/EB Games then Australians will have to make do with unsealed, ratty copies the staff have probably played.

$31.95 Australian??? Do me a favour! Of course, I'd happily pay full price if this was physical. Maybe it will be eventually. I have a feeling they'll do a physical version of FFVII.

I've...never heard of it. Disney Magical Kingdoms would've been better (and of course Kingdom Hearts, which will come eventually).

@Ludovsky That's exactly what I figured. SNES games wouldn't appear in the NES app. They'll have a separate one. Shame there wasn't an announcement today but it'll come eventually.

I hope to see Contra on the NES app next month. I would love to see Crackout (anyone remember that?) and Iron Tank. They really need to do more than two a month.

Unlike mpst people here, I'm really happy about this. I only played a little bit of 3 but never played Liberation (even though I bought it several times over). I'm just glad to finally have the series on Switch.

BUT...they BETTER not make Liberation download-only. This was only just announced so I haven't had time to look into it yet.

@CairiB I'm a massive Zelda fan too but I also never had the pleasure of playing the original either. This looks fantastic.

It angers me that things that are considered "controversial" are not really controversial and everyone suffers for it. A small minority of whingers complain that their feelings are hurt and have to go running to mummy. We want the game and are more than willing to buy it. I could give two you-know-whats if people are offended. Chances are they wouldn't even play it anyway. They just want to ruin it for normal people. No wonder this world is so miserable.

I didn't know this was getting a "physical" release in the first place. It came out on the eShop ages ago. A while ago, Capcom released Ducktales as a case with a download code. Eventually they rereleased it with a disc. I wish Bandai Namco would stop being so stingy and just use a 32gb cartridge. No one despises digital games more than me. Let's hope for an Asian version at least.

I've had a break during the last month or so as I've wanted to start some new games but I can't wait to get back into it again.

@DanteSolablood The first AC game was an oddity for sure. It took me ages to really get into and it was much different than I expected. Somehow, AC2 clicked with me straight away. AC2 is the game I expected the first one to be like.

Finally! Assassin's Creed on Switch. I have little reason to believe this is fake. Should we expect an official announcement in the the next couple of days? Or better still, a new Direct to announce it in?

I didn't get too far into 3 but I liked it (even though it was very different from the Ezio trilogy). Never played Liberation, despite owning it three times over. I wanted to finish 3 first, which I never did.

@impurekind Agreed. It'd be the perfect time for an announcement. They can't possibly wait until the year Metroid Prime 4 is released. There have been rumours for a while that footage of the game was supposed to have been shown in the January direct. I wonder if today's news has anything to do with the direct's continued absence?

@bluesun You, and some others, keep mentioning Play Asia when it comes to the Asian version of FFX/X-2. Does that mean it'll be exclusive to Play Asia?

I wouldn't be surprised if we're looking at 3-4 years until Metroid Prime 4 is out but I really hope we see the Trilogy this year. To hear that Nintendo have "more Metroid stuff" in the works is great. They could remake an older 2D one in the meantime or even make a new one. Until 4 releases, I hope they'll push the brand as much as possible. They'll need to make back their losses for the past couple of years. I'd love to see Metroid become a huge brand and considering 4's delay, they've got plenty of time to make it happen.

@JaxonH Amazon was the first store mentioned in a couple dof articles (including one on here) to have it for pre-order but ozgameshop actually had it earlier, as I posted in the comments on a previous article about this topic. They probably all just copy and paste the same information so it's hard to tell for sure until confirmation. The game is out fairly soon so I don't know why it takes so long for confirmation for the remaining versions.

@Silly_G Yeah, the sizes are huge. Resident Evil Revelations 2 takes up so much space and I had to delete LA Noire to play Doom. I couldn't even fit one Atelier game at the moment let alone three!

@Silly_G That's a shame. I knew about the Japanese version already and it's disappointing that English isn't included. I'm still holding out hope for a physical release somewhere. I never buy digital and would certainly not pay the outrageous prices on the Australian eShop.

Off topic but does anyone know if there's an Asian version of the Atelier trilogy (with English) on Switch?

@Juanblue85 I don't know which country you're from but ozgameshop (UK-based, Australian prices) have been stocking Japanese and Asian versions of a few Switch games. 365 Games is the UK equivalent (I'm guessing the original) so they're bound to have similar stock.

I should point out that the links in my post above are for a UK store that sells to Australia but they're UK releases. I'd like the information about X-2 to be wrong but I'm just going by what's listed on the game page.

Luckily they'll both be getting physical releases but X-2 will unfortunately be digital-only (again!) I'm getting sick of this. I'm sure they'd both fit on the one cartridge.

@NEStalgia It's currently about $130 for the trilogy on the Australian eshop. That's outrageous.

@SwitchForce Japanese language only though. I'm still hoping they'll reconsider a physical release in th West or at least an Asian release with English-language support (not sure if there is one already so I'll have to look that up).

@Toads-Friend I love that game to death. I have fond memories of it from the 90's and played it so much on the 3DS. I can't wait to play it again.

@OorWullie I played around 80 hours of Splatoon 2 last year and thought I was finally getting sick of it. It was mainly Turf Wars and then I eventually started getting into Ranked Battles. I stopped playing for a while a couple of times and even after all that time playing, I wasn't very good.

When I did pick it up again few months later, I stuck with it and have played it most days since. My skills have improved dramatically. It's certainly a tough game to master. I disliked Clam Blitz for a while but I think it was because I had no idea what I was doing and even after I did, I was piss poor at it. It always came up so often and I dreaded the sight of it. Now I love it. It's very challenging and intense but loads of fun. I go under the name "Seph" if you ever want to battle.

I hope one day, they (and Super Rare Games) will offer games MOD (made on demand). Perhaps it goes against their original business model but at least that way, they can offer games to people who want them and not have a warehouse of excess stock that's not selling. Everytime I hear about a game I want finally getting a physical release, I'm always disappointed that it's being released by them. I know that without them, the game may never get a physical copy but the cost of the games, and shipping to Australia, is just too steep. I like to be able to buy games when I've got the money and they just never come at the right time.

I loved the demo so much. I had a feeling it'd get a physical release, especially after one was announced for Japan.

Many sites are reporting a digital release on November 30 and a physical edition on December 7. They still fail to state if this is for North America only.

Was hoping for a Mario Golf announcement in the direct Oh well, it's bound to happen eventually.
