Developer Frozenbyte and publisher Modus Games have announced Trine: Ultimate Collection will be coming to the Nintendo Switch this Fall in physical and digital form.
The collection contains all four entries in the series: Trine Enchanted Edition, Trine 2: Complete Story, Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power, and the upcoming release, Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince.
In addition to this, the Ultimate Collection will include an original soundtrack (download code), Trine 4 digital art book (download code), collector's reversible cover sheet and physical Trine 4 world map. If you pre-order now, you'll get a Trine 4 cloth poster and bonus in-game content.
The Ultimate Collection (currently limited to the US) will set you back $49.99. According to the Trine 4 website, a standalone copy of the fourth game will cost $29.99 / £24.99 - £29.99 / €29.99 - €34.99.
Trine is also currently celebrating its 10th anniversary by offering fans the chance to win one of three grand prizes or hundreds of runner-up prizes in a special giveaway. Each of the three grand prize winners will receive a gaming console and a copy of Trine: Ultimate Collection. This competition is limited to certain regions. For more information, click here.

There is no listing for Switch 1-2-3 + 4 boxset.
What's with the dollars in the article? Where is the UK pound and the European Euro? How hard it is to make it a rule that all Nintendo Life writers follow?
Nice! Day one purchase for me! These are great games and the pricing for the Ultimate Collection is fair too!
@SwitchForce never satisfied... Either case I'm happy they included all 4. That was the reason I didn't buy them individually.
Any indication if this will also be a digital release or is it a physical exclusive? Obviously a digital version would be unlikely to include any of the goodies, but I'd be very interested regardless. Or are we going to just have to get them all individually?
Will probably require some breaks to avoid platforming fatigue, but I was hoping they would bundle everything like this
I played Trine1 and 2. Very fun games with beautiful art
Gee, this kinda stomps all over the $40 1-3 set at GameStop, doesn't it? Seems pretty harsh.
@Cosats Sorry about that. The PR made no mention of pricing, so I had to go to the official website for extra information. I've got all of the regional prices in there now.
@BoilerBroJoe Again, the PR was incredibly vague - it didn't mention an "eShop" release. There is a single mention of being able to digitally pre-order the game, but it wasn't really clear until I checked the official website, where it reveals a digital version of the collection is coming soon to the Nintendo Store.
I was waiting for them to put this together:) same people who made Nine Parchments. I have over 200 switch games now and NP is one of the best. I will gladly give those a try
Wig! $50?! I’ve never played a Trine game but was waiting for this to go “all in.” But 50 is a bit much to risk whether I’ll even like it or not :/
me... get... now✋😍
Also, @Stuffgamer1: I don't mind at all stomping on LAMEstop as they have been stomping on gamers for YEARS.
@gloom GameStop is charging $40 for the first 3 and the stand-alone 4 is $30. So think of it as a $20 savings.
Damn I have the first one already and now all 4 will be in one package damnit!! Wish I would've waited but oh well, I still might get it for the hell of it but not sure as of right now. Good game and quite challenging when playing solo but still fun and enjoying it.
@blackknight77 I bought the first two Trine games on the Wii U and to date, they are one of the more visually impressive games for the poor thing (I still play it to this day).
Then bought the games again for my PS4 for the 1080p/60 performance and more conventional control setup. I love the graphics and music in the games thus far and perhaps this might get me roped for a physical release be it on Switch or PS4.
Nuts. I bought Trine 1 and 2 just last week.
You can't select switch in the pre-order as yet, this entire article is wrong.
Also, many people have asked (via twitter) if all games are on the one cartridge, but no one has replied, therefore don't think so.
Edit: "The Store" just chucks you through to another site to purchase, the switch version is only available on Amazon.com so far
I hope they're all on the cartridge and not just two or there of them.
I'd buy the Ultimate Collection right away, if only it was actually already available to purchase for the Switch and would ship to the Netherlands. ^^'
All of them better be on the cartridge, don't be like Capcom, Activision, Bethesda, Namco Bandai, and Square Enix and cheap out.
So just to confirm the 4 pack isn’t available now for switch???
@retro_player_22 it’s not listed as physical for switch just digital.
Xbox, pc and PS4 only on their store
@Stuffgamer1 It does..and I'm cancelling my gamestop preorder immediately lol
@N8tiveT3ch "never satisfied... Either case I'm happy they included all 4. That was the reason I didn't buy them individually."
huh, what kinda logic was that. Your "never satisfied" make no sense. If you been keeping up to date you would know but looks like you didn't listen to make such comments.
Sounds great but don't buy this day one. Trine games go on sale very frequently.

Just got a reply tweet saying they are “planning to” put them all on the one cartridge

@Bizzyb only found the switch version on Amazon.com if you use select the PC version, then change the platform
@Bunkerneath Amazon currently has the Switch version as "currently unavailable"....sigh
@Stocksy What but the article says it's coming to Switch as both physical and digital.
Developer Frozenbyte and publisher Modus Games have announced Trine: Ultimate Collection will be coming to the Nintendo Switch this Fall in physical and digital form.
You mean the devs and Nintendolife lied to me?
@retro_player_22 check the website. Let me know when you’ve ordered it 😀..... strange it’s not up at the same time as the others no????
Whatever fella....
Nintendo life article are always bang on 😂
Edit - at least says “coming soon for switch” wasn’t an option at all before
Not sure why they post articles when links aren’t live yet
It list for Switch but no retailer showing.
@Stocksy I came to this article so to get info on the topic game, I didn't came here so I can go check another one. Also I was asking you a simple question which you failed to answer.
