INTELLIGENT SYSTEMS has been quiet for way too long! I can't wait to hear from them again! I, however, am NOT going to get my hopes up for a Fire Emblem reveal. I know all about Murphy's Law, and the laws of reverse psychology, so I'm going to say that I really don't want a new Fire Emblem game. Fire Emblem freakin' sucks, and should never get another entry into its series. Nintendo is not going to reveal a new Fire Emblem game. You saw it here first.
No, way. This is actually for real. There is a good chance that I'm going to pre-order this, considering that all the other RCT games have been top notch. This really is exciting news.
What Nintendo needs to get this thing kicking is a much better advertisement strategy.
To the general public, the 3DS really does look like just another DS with a wider screen; people don't want to pay extra for something that has barely changed.
Nintendo needs to make commercials that pound the 3DS's capabilities into consumers heads. I've had enough of those "This is sooo neat! Oooo, look at that 3D, oh wait, you can't! I guess I'll just wave this thing around like an idiot while you switch channels." commercials.
How often do you see 3DS advertisements? I watch all of the commercials in between my shows, and I watch many different things on many different channels. I've seen one 3DS commercial on TV, and no 3DS advertisements in magazines. When Nintendo starts to advertise more, they'll probably get more sales.
As long as the DLC is substantial, and not that should have been there at release, than I'll accept this as good news. If they try to pull any "This new update will make the gameplay the way it was supposed to be at launch!" crap, then I'm out.
Oh, man. Fire Emblem: PoR, Wind Waker, Paper Mario: TTYD... Having copies of those that I can actually play again would be ace. I'm glad that I got on the internet today.
Something tells me that Nintendo is going to find a way to win. They might even pull some scumbag-moves, but they'll win. If they do something really low, I may end up boycotting the 3DS.
Inchworm animation is really impressive, but it would be even more impressive if it had: the ability to select things in shapes other than rectangles, the ability to move something selected without copying it, the ability to zoom-out to go along with the ability to zoom-in, the ability to rotate selected areas, the ability to change the size of selected areas, everything that he mentioned, and many more things that I can't remember at the moment. If all of those features were added, I'd be willing to pay 20 bucks for it. The constraints of a five dollar app are cruel.
"My wii is playing Happy Birthday at 1pm every day and I don't know how to stop it, can you help please as it is really annoying! I have unplugged it and it still does it!!"
This. This right here. This made my day/week/life. If Valve starts to make its games for the Wii U, then there's a chance that I won't be using a PC for gaming anymore.
EDIT: Never mind. I just remember how much Left For Dead sucked on the 360 when compared to the PC. Mouse+keyboard=ten times better than any console's controllers.
@zordixAB How about an exploration&adventure-based game where you sail around an ocean to different islands which you can explore? The user would be given complete freedom of where to go, and the goal would be to become the greatest explorer/pirate/adventurer of all time (your class would be based on your actions). You would find lost civilizations, new civilizations, busy towns, etc... , and some islands would be gigantic when compared to others. Randomly generated oceans would be ace, that way the islands would never be in the same places on different games. The game could switch from a top-down ocean (while sailing) to a side scrolling platformer while on an island. Lol, I only thought of all that because I was listening to this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tKhEzVJQdxM
I actually found the gameboy cart for this earlier, and have been playing through it again. The controls and level design are much better than I remembered! It really does deserve a 9-10, I am pleased with this review and score.
If you think that a game with as much depth as your standard Nintendo game should only cost 1$-6$ at launch, then shame on you. Seriously, I could by one burger with a drink and fries for six bucks. You're putting the value of Super Mario Galaxy at the same level as a cheaply made piece of junk food!
That beard. That beard! He looks freakin' awesome with that beard! I may not like most of his movies, but that beard! I don't want to tick him off now that he has that beard! That beard!
I was expecting the Wii U to be .5%-1% more powerful than the Pee-eS-Triple, so this is pretty big news. I just hope that Nintendo doesn't think that we only want good graphics in our gam-OH WAIT!! Check out that fancy new controller! Whoa, did you see the way they used that sucker? That was cool! Wait, they mentioned graphics in the press conference? I didn't even notice! They were completely focused on the way their new controller would change gameplay for the better!
I'm really glad to see that Nintendo is still putting gameplay on the forefront. I thought they would just improve the graphics of the Wii and only use the classic controller pro (or something like that) for their next console. I'm glad to be wrong!
However, for the first time in the series' history, Sakurai is aiming to leave character and gameplay balancing duties to other members of his team.
Will the Zelda characters be higher on the tier list now, and will metaknight be dumbed down? I really don't want Ganondorf to be made into a "good" character.
That's very reassuring. I was expecting it to just be a basic Mario Kart game with a few things tacked on, but from what you've said, it's a whole new game. I'm very glad.
Impressive. If this is the case, you won't even have to buy new controls for the WII U, you'll just buy the console then be all set (if you previously owned four Wii Remotes.)
It's not the console itself that defines the core/casual, it's what games it has and how the consumer plays them. I found that there were plenty of hardcore games for the Wii.
When I first saw the new controller, I immediately hated it. I thought it looked retarded, but looks can be deceiving, and in this case, were! So far, it looks like this controller is going to be amazingly great for gameplay. I can't wait to try it!

Re: Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Limited Edition Details
I don't know, the fact that there's no real gold may make this a no-buy for me.
The game looks good and all, but, no real gold? Come on, Nintendo.
Re: 1950s Lawn Mower Kids to Release Next Week
Pre-ordered: because it comes with a free plastic lawnmower toy, and a free kid to push it around.

Aonuma and his team, are, cookin', up, trouble.

Re: Iwata Shoulders Blame for Low 3DS Sales, Cuts Salary in Half
Ouch, 50% salary drop? Maybe that will change after the 3DS goes on sale for 170.
Maybe it will sell as well as the DS after that.
Maybe.
Re: 3DS Drops to $169.99 from 12th August
This is scary. I had a strong whim to buy one yesterday, but I put it down.
Thank God.
