Toss up between Japan and NA for me, however the tagline "Get the place jumping" really didn't resonate with me. Japan this week.

@PLATINUM7 It is indeed the latter. I guess I went into it expecting it to be a non-turn based pokemon introduction, as I have never played any pokemon game before, and expecting it to run in real time made it feel off to me. Maybe it's not that the controls feel weird, just its not my kind of game. Thanks for the info.

I played the demo, liked the concept but was turned off my how off the movement felt, almost as if there's a delay. Won't be picking this one up, even if I like the art style.

That's a bit sad for Sakurai. All his momentous effort and he doesn't even get preference over character choices.

@OorWullie It's only a set number of winners per region, 999 in NA, and 99 in Oceania for me.

Your point stills stands though, it's rewarding grinding rather than skill.

I can't really think of a fairer way to do this though, lesser skilled player still have to grind more than highly skilled player to win.

The Wii U had many great games, but good games can only help a system's success so much.

The Wii U was a commercial failure, and so in order to run a more successful company, they released their next console more quickly.

In regards to the exclusives, if you don't like some of the exclusives on the switch, or even the ports, you are in the minority. Just take a look at the sales numbers of any first party series on the switch as compared to the wii u and you'll see that many more people are happier on the switch.

The promised first party games also came out at a much slower rate during the wii u era, so this experience is no different. Only this time, there are other first party games, sometimes smaller sometimes not, to bridge the gap between major releases more consistently.

As a side note, golf story is far, far better than jedi fallen order. (In my opinion) It's also waaay cheaper. Would 110% recommend to anyone, especially as it's on sale right now.

Anyone else think that an xbox one controller is not a good choice for one of the top 10 "influential and important" gadgets of the decade? I'd barely put it on a 2018 list let alone the decade.

If you haven't played golf story yet, I would thoroughly recommend it. It may not be a mini golf game (although there is a very small amount present), it's my favourite indie game on switch i've gotten so far.

@Riderkicker The lack of a standard vs mode meant playing offline (on the go) meant you couldn't choose whatever track you wanted to play. Particularly annoying if your favourite track was at the end of a cup.

This is such a great, cheap game. Over 30 hours with my friends already, and we have no plan to stop.

It seems a little bit over the top, why not just go to sea to get a feel of it and then make it in an office? That would seem much more practical
