@Shambo Seriously they were complaining that there were not enough Zombies...
I liked the Idea of ZOMBIU but there's not enough to keep you there playing it, If it had an "animal crossing" vibe of finding items to trade or fix up your hideout with, then that would have kept people coming back, "scavenging" for items would have been a good fit with the style of the game.
You don't want to make games for the Wii U, we get it!
I don't know why people just can't come out and say that? Basically MS and Sony give devs the freedom to do what they want (good or bad), Nintendo don't. That's the bottom line really..
@Shambo A lot of the ZombiU reviews seemed to mark it down for not being an FPS and not having more Zombies... lol
@xNoktemAeternus Rayman was built from the ground up for Wii U, so it's very much a "Nintendo game" in that respect, the PS3 version is actually a port of Rayman, a good port but obviously not as good as the system that it was originally made for..
@Peach64 Obviously you would have to make a few changes but it would work very well on the Wii U, plus you could maybe add Mii support for the player mugshots and Miiverse features, would be awesome..
@SMEXIZELDAMAN Why do americans have to try to ruin everything?
@ferthepoet The Wii U gamepad would be fantastic for playing FM, plus it would be a great alternative to PES and FIFA. The Wii U needs some decent football action and FM would be a perfect fit..
@bezerker99 Good luck selling "soccer manager" in Europe
People need to get out of this "iGeneration mentality" of thinking that every product is an upgrade that they must buy...
If you actually sit down and think about it the 2DS makes perfect sense. No 3D means that it's easier to market for kids, so they can play Mario Kart and Pokemon without getting headaches or falling over.
The 2DS also has the eshop which has cheap downloadable content like indie games and apps like brain training and art academy that allow kids can learn and doodle. There's also wifi so they can watch videos (nintendo zone/netflix) and browse the net, not only at home but there's hotspots in places like McDonalds and Airports etc..
The design has a kid friendly "fisher price" vibe, plus the one screen and no hinges cuts production costs way down (Nintendo are extremely clever in terms of making a profit from their hardware), which makes the 2DS more attractive to parents who will be paying for these things.
So obviously if you already have a 3DS, you really don't need this!
I'm not bothered about buying early, I've been playing MH3U, ZombiU, Nano Assault Neo and earthbound up to now and if the price drop means more sales and games then great! I want this console to succeed!
@Shiryu I remember buying the japanese version at the time, plus a HoneyBee converter. Then I got home, read the Mean Machines review and come across the cheat code that allowed you to use the same character in two player mode.. good times
I really want to like the PS and XBOX as most of my friends own them but I just don't find the games that appealing to justify buying one.
Stuff like Blacklist and Watchdogs are on Wii U and use the gamepad, since Konami have decided not to release PES Playmaker for the Wii U then PES is the only game that I'd be interested in on those platforms. I think that I'd rather wait with fingers crossed for a 3DS version than buying another console..
The 2DS is a cheap option for the kids to play Pokemon on, they are even being released on the same day. I don't know why people are having such a hard time with this?
@banacheck I'm not presuming at all, your logic is fundamentally flawed, whether you choose to accept it or not..
@URAmk2
Actually I'll come back on this, at no point did I say that digital sales would push the game much higher in the charts.
I was simply suggesting that the digital offer (that's still on) may effect the amount physical copies that were bought more than they usually would. so that MIGHT entice a FEW more people to pick up both Pikmin and W101 through the digital service.
You don't have the sales figures so digital could have POSSIBLY pushed the game up to 20 (but we don't have the figures so we will never know) which is what the article is pretty much based on "The Wonderful 101 Misses the Top 20 in UK All-Format Charts".
So i haven't contradicted myself in anyway whatsoever, you're clutching at straws,
@unrandomsam The Super NES was capable of more detailed graphics and better sound, but the CPU ran less than half the speed of the MD.
Some slowdown on SNES games were down to bad programming but it still couldn't match some of the more intesive MD shoot em ups. The SNES also needed a lot of custom chips in most of it's games to help out.
@SCAR392 said: "No one is clinging to the 30% discount. It's there, and no one has numbers based on it. It still contributes, even if it is a low number. That's the point most were trying to get across"
I'm amazed that some people are unable to grasp such a simple concept..

Re: Eurostyle Neo Geo Shooter Gunlord Is Blasting Its Way To 3DS And Wii U
@BerendJan They can keep FIFA as long as the Wii U gets PES Playmaker.

Re: Bethesda: The Time For Convincing Publishers And Developers To Support Wii U Is "Long Past"
Bethesda would probably have to spend six months fixing all the bugs before Nintendo would even let them release anything..
Re: Eurostyle Neo Geo Shooter Gunlord Is Blasting Its Way To 3DS And Wii U
@Fusion14
It's based on the Turrican series

Re: Rayman Legends on Wii U Wins Digital Foundry Face-Off
@JaxonH
This is why I hardly trust reviews anymore, for the majority of the games that I own on Wii U the GamePad is an absolute joy to use..
Re: Rayman Legends on Wii U Wins Digital Foundry Face-Off
@ScroogeMcLz Similar thing happened with Wonderful 101 in regards to a lot of reviews that I read..
Re: Rayman Legends on Wii U Wins Digital Foundry Face-Off
@ScroogeMcLz Very strange review...
Re: Rayman Legends on Wii U Wins Digital Foundry Face-Off
@jpfan1989 Well quite.. the "reviewer" in question also gave Skyward Sword a 7.5/10
Re: Rayman Legends on Wii U Wins Digital Foundry Face-Off
Only Gamespot marked the Wii U version lower than the others apparently.. Didn't like the gamepad levels..
Re: Review: Street Fighter II' Turbo: Hyper Fighting (Wii U eShop / Super Nintendo)
@unrandomsam Champion Edition for the PC Engine was probably the best port out of the three consoles IMO.
Re: Nintendo Download: 5th September (Europe)
I've got a US 3DS so I'll be getting Bit Trip. at $4.99 and maybe Resident Evil Revelations at $19.99.
Re: Feature: The Biggest Wii U Games of 2013 - Autumn / Fall Edition
Sonic Lost World could be a surprise hit, I haven't been this excited about a new Sonic game since Sonic Adventure was released.
Re: Feature: The Biggest Wii U Games of 2013 - Autumn / Fall Edition
Zelda, Watchdogs and probably for the first time since Sonic Adventure have I been looking forward to a Sonic game..

Re: Weirdness: Football Manager Fans Can Now Show Off in Animal Crossing: New Leaf
@Macarony64 FM + New Leaf cross over = No Life!!
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Sixteen
New Leaf
Donkey Kong (original)
Trine 2
W101
RUNNER 2
Re: Rayman Legends is Still a Wii U Exclusive in Japan, Apparently
Well if you think about it, there would be no point releasing it for the 360 over there..

Re: Assault Android Cactus Will Blast Its Way to the Wii U eShop
@MadAussieBloke The MD version's problem was the controller, the system required a multi tap for two player games!
Re: The Voice Of Mario Is Coming To London On September 7th
He's also the voice of RUNNER 2, which is one of my favorite games right now..

Re: Review: Street Fighter II: The World Warrior (Wii U eShop / Super Nintendo)
@Kirk Mean Machines was in a different league, I basically stopped reading games magazines when Mean Machines SEGA came to a halt.
I still have the SFII SCE, pull out special somewhere..
Re: Review: Street Fighter II: The World Warrior (Wii U eShop / Super Nintendo)
@Kirk I sold all my old copies on ebay recently... and yes I had the Contra Jigsaw

@samstreet101 They only have one Premium Pack left atm...
Also strange how the MH3U Pack is £339.99..?
Re: Assault Android Cactus Will Blast Its Way to the Wii U eShop
@Shiryu Hahaha, awesome!
Re: Nintendo Download: 29th August (North America)
I'd imagine that a lot of people will be upgrading their Wii VC version of Zelda this week
Re: Assault Android Cactus Will Blast Its Way to the Wii U eShop
@luminalace The Super NES version was incredible... (waits for @MadAussieBloke 's thoughts on the MD version ) sad not to see it in the VC line up
If this is half as good as Smash TV then we are onto a winner there..

Good to see Bit Trip. getting some love in the voting. You can't go wrong for $4.99

@cheleuitte I've got a HDD ready for games like Blacklist. Seems like digital is the way to go for this one..
Re: Splinter Cell Blacklist Wii U Version's Performance Put Under the Spotlight
@MadAussieBloke I was always partial to thunderforce III my self.. Not the SNES version of course.
