Re: Rayman Legends on Wii U Wins Digital Foundry Face-Off

@Shambo Seriously they were complaining that there were not enough Zombies...

I liked the Idea of ZOMBIU but there's not enough to keep you there playing it, If it had an "animal crossing" vibe of finding items to trade or fix up your hideout with, then that would have kept people coming back, "scavenging" for items would have been a good fit with the style of the game.

@Shambo A lot of the ZombiU reviews seemed to mark it down for not being an FPS and not having more Zombies... lol

@xNoktemAeternus Rayman was built from the ground up for Wii U, so it's very much a "Nintendo game" in that respect, the PS3 version is actually a port of Rayman, a good port but obviously not as good as the system that it was originally made for..

@thanos316

People need to get out of this "iGeneration mentality" of thinking that every product is an upgrade that they must buy...

If you actually sit down and think about it the 2DS makes perfect sense. No 3D means that it's easier to market for kids, so they can play Mario Kart and Pokemon without getting headaches or falling over.

The 2DS also has the eshop which has cheap downloadable content like indie games and apps like brain training and art academy that allow kids can learn and doodle. There's also wifi so they can watch videos (nintendo zone/netflix) and browse the net, not only at home but there's hotspots in places like McDonalds and Airports etc..

The design has a kid friendly "fisher price" vibe, plus the one screen and no hinges cuts production costs way down (Nintendo are extremely clever in terms of making a profit from their hardware), which makes the 2DS more attractive to parents who will be paying for these things.

So obviously if you already have a 3DS, you really don't need this!

I really want to like the PS and XBOX as most of my friends own them but I just don't find the games that appealing to justify buying one.

Stuff like Blacklist and Watchdogs are on Wii U and use the gamepad, since Konami have decided not to release PES Playmaker for the Wii U then PES is the only game that I'd be interested in on those platforms. I think that I'd rather wait with fingers crossed for a 3DS version than buying another console..

@banacheck I'm not presuming at all, your logic is fundamentally flawed, whether you choose to accept it or not..

@URAmk2
Actually I'll come back on this, at no point did I say that digital sales would push the game much higher in the charts.

I was simply suggesting that the digital offer (that's still on) may effect the amount physical copies that were bought more than they usually would. so that MIGHT entice a FEW more people to pick up both Pikmin and W101 through the digital service.

You don't have the sales figures so digital could have POSSIBLY pushed the game up to 20 (but we don't have the figures so we will never know) which is what the article is pretty much based on "The Wonderful 101 Misses the Top 20 in UK All-Format Charts".

So i haven't contradicted myself in anyway whatsoever, you're clutching at straws,

It's a little pathetic in all honesty..
