@unrandomsam I think that console versions of Zool had to undergo a few changes from the Amiga game due to RAM limitations. The Super NES version was pretty buggy as well.
The Megadrive had almost the exact same CPU as the Amiga 500, so ports of Amiga games ended up being better in general than the Super NES.
@kasplat Say you were born in 1994, you'd be 19 now, thats a little different than someone who wasn't even alive during that period, but pretends to remember it all..
The only thing I have a problem with is retro reviews, gaming has changed an awful lot and it's incredibly difficult to gauge how good a game was and is now, too many overriding factors.
That and 13 year olds on YT reviewing SNEZzz games, pretending to remember the 90s, it shouldn't be allowed!
Ah, one of my all time favourite series. I still have TS2+3 for the GC. Personally I'd be happy with a HD remake of those two games with wiimote support..
Can't help but think that Ubisoft dropped the ball a little bit with Rayman, They underestimated the Wii U and delayed it only to release the game at a pretty bad time, Feb didn't have as much competition around.
I will update SMB from VC to eshop, also Toki Tori 2 looks like a good deal. I like these discounts as so far I've picked up Nano Assault and Trine 2 for a song. Happy Days!
Does anyone know if D&D has had all the bugs fixed?
@Jared1984 The PS4 at £349.00 isn't that bad and will probably sell a lot more than the xbone at £429.00.
The £3DO launched at £600.00 I think and that was back in the 90s, EA had no problem fully supporting that console BTW, they had no worries over lack of sales there, even though they only sold like three units lol
I read somewhere that 101 is the top selling Wii u game in France right now.. I'm glad to hear that people are actually buying this in other parts of the world, It's a great game.
@Jared1984 Not all those titles are full price in the UK, but in saying that I read somewhere that "a 3,000,000 wii game made more money than 6,000,000 360 game"..
@speedyboris I thought that the PC Engine port was the best of the lot, the Super NES versions after WW were not that great, the sound was awful on them!
@TG1 Not that great, the Sharp X68000 had the best port..
@nomeacuerdo for £6 a month I think what you get its pretty damn good, the difference between the UK and US service though is like night and day though..
@DarkEdi I actually prefer the Megadrive/Genesis version, plays more like the arcade, plus has all the speech included. The Super NES version has a few things missing..
@AyeHaley Totally agree, wait until the big hitters are out before declaring the system dead and buried.
The Wii U has actually done pretty well to sell what? 4M units with hardly any Nintendo games and flimsy 3rd party support, did the 3DO ever reach that with full support from EA?
If memory serves me correctly then during the first 8-9 months of the GameCube's release it's game library was very different. It's a stark contrast really.
As far as the big 3rd parties go, I don't think there is any "winning them back", they just don't want to develop for a Nintendo console, regardless... The quicker Nintendo move on the better.
I can actually remember playing a Street Fighter in an arcade during a holiday in spain when I was a kid. Seeing six buttons on an arcade cabinet was pretty crazy back then..

99p Wii U update here we come
Re: Video: Want To Know Which Version Of Street Fighter II Runs The Fastest?
@Ristar42 The Megadrive version played better though IMO...
Gameplay > Graphics/Sound
Re: Four New Titles Added to Wii "Nintendo Selects" Budget Range in Europe
@WiiLovePeace But I didn't even know that FIFA 14 even existed until a few hours ago, I was in a state of bemusement!
Oh, well different grass textures... that'll be well worth the £39.99 price tag, I love those grass textures
Actually, the visuals for the last couple of FIFA games on Wii were absolutely shocking, they would be an embarrassment for a PS2 even!

Re: Four New Titles Added to Wii "Nintendo Selects" Budget Range in Europe
@WiiLovePeace Wow, I didn't see that, I don't visit this site everyday you know
How much are you betting that FIFA 14 is exactly the same as FIFA 13 but will be at full price?
Re: Four New Titles Added to Wii "Nintendo Selects" Budget Range in Europe
@Peach64 Amazingly people do, that's why GAME managed to last as long as it has.. NSMB is still £37.99 there.
Also on the subject of GAME, they have FIFA 14 listed for Wii? Bizarre...
Re: Four New Titles Added to Wii "Nintendo Selects" Budget Range in Europe
Again, these games have been selling at full price at most major retailers until now? This must be why a lot of 3rd parties don't like Nintendo
Re: Review: Darts Up 3D (3DS eShop)
These games never manage to capture the true spirit of the "sport" of Darts..

Re: Just Dance Steps Up To 5 Million Sales in the UK
If only those people knew that there was a new HD Nintendo console that's been released recently...
Re: Just Dance Steps Up To 5 Million Sales in the UK
Good series, definitely not "shovelware" by any stretch of the imagination.
Re: Video: Nintendo Reels Out Plenty of PAX Prime Videos
Wind Waker looks unbelievable..

I really don't see the point of this..
Re: Nintendo Download: 12th September (Europe)
@RainbowGazelle I guess it depends if you can get past the first level or not?
Re: Nintendo Misses Out on Nikkei 225 as Stock Slumps Over 8%
A rise of 31% proceeded by a drop of 8% is not really what I'd call a slump..

Re: Atari Founder Nolan Bushnell Claims Nintendo "Could Be On The Path To Irrelevance"
If it were the "Atari Wii U", they would be burying billions of games in the desert by now. he's probably still bitter over the tetris thing...
Re: Talking Point: The Wonderful 101 Provides Some Rare Family Friendly Thrills
@ICHIkatakuri Not sure but every time I boot up my Wii U there's a lot of French/German comments from Miiverse that seem to show up..
Re: Atari Founder Nolan Bushnell Claims Nintendo "Could Be On The Path To Irrelevance"
"I don't think handheld game-only devices make sense anymore"
Well Nolan, 30 million+ people tend to disagree with you, It's funny that he says this as the 2DS is soon to be released as well...

Re: Review: Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers (Wii U eShop / Super Nintendo)
@speedyboris Pretty much "arcade perfect" as far as I'm aware, the X68000 was a PC but the Capcom arcade ports were amazing..
Re: Three Wii Classics Get A Price Reduction in North America
They've been full price all this time? WOW!

@Marshi I'd actually forgotten all about it until I read this article.. o ( o_0 ) o
Re: Over 61% of Q2 Game Sales in the U.S. Were From Download Products
I have a US 3DS so I send the funds to F&F and they email the 3DS credit codes over, so all my games are digital download.
Anything under 2GB for the Wii U i'll download due to space, but major releases are way too expensive on the eshop anyway..
Re: Wii U TVii App Now Allows You to Doodle on "Your Fave Live TV Moments"
When is TVii available in Europe?
